Do you guys even cook here? I see so much shitposting but I never see what you guys even make. Like when you come home after work/school/masturbating in moms basent, do you make something or just order nuggers on the way home?
I made this today after work. Sorry for potato quality. Fresh made pasta with a bolonaise sauce with ground turkey and kale. Topped with some fried spiced chickpeas for some texture contrast. Nothing better than fresh made pasta.

If you want your fill of food selfies, >>>instagram. I cook pretty often but it's just not a habit to whip the camera out every time I make soup.
As for your dish there, what kind of work are you doing that you have the time and energy to make pasta from scratch after work?
>>9290833
Got some pulled pork in the oven. About 2 hours left. We cook and shiiieeet.
>>9290833
There's plenty of follow along cooking threads here, if you look closely.
But really, no, I rarely cook. I come here for ideas about things I want to try when I go out, with the occasional attempt at cooking something. I can feed myself, but anything I'd bother posting here would be laughed at.

Hey guys, I really like mayo unironically, but have limited exposure to top-tier mayo. I'm no above a Hellman's jar, but I feel like mayo has so much more to offer.
What are your favorite mayo brands? Do you ever make your own? How does it turn out?

In 57 mins I'll be 24hrs sober. Day 1 almost achieved. Don't need to tell you how horrific I feel, and how depressed I am that even if I manage like a week, I'll still relapse and I'll be straight back in the dire depths of hell.

Fuck this

Try having small amounts every day to see if your digestive system will adjust to lactose. Have a tablespoon of milk/yogurt a few times per day. If you feel fine with that, go up to two tablespoons, and so on.
If that doesn't work, you can still get things like unpasteurized beer, raw sauerkraut, kombucha, etc. Anything fermented and raw will be good for your digestive system, it doesn't have to be yogurt.
dunno about your country anon, here dry Bifidobacterium is sold in drug stores as it is. Looks like bread yeast, in small glass bottles. You mix it with water and gulp em down. The amount of milk products in that dry crap is negligible.

My family is taking me to a buffet placed called Mandarin for my birthday. What do I expect?is the food good? Is the service good? Is it worth the 25 dollars per person? Are there Chinese tricks like filler in the water? How do I get the most out of the buffet?
Pic related
>>9293425
If it's in a normal city with an average cost of living it's good. If it's in downtown NYC it's probably just decent.
>>9293425
Pretty sure you can get a happy ending if you tip more than $10.
>>9293425
If that's the photo of the place, you can expect a slightly above average buffet with above average service.
There is lemon with the water - constant refills.
There are lots of non-Chinese options, and tons of "fillers" on the menu.
To get your money's worth, eat at least one plate of seafood.
Any Saturday bakers here? I've got a potluck tonight and am bringing two loaves of bread. The dough is almost done with the bulk fermentation stage -- gonna shape it and proof it in about 30 minutes.

Greetings fellow knife sluts.
Ordered these two yesterday.
Should have bought some Herders. Globals are not known for their steel, and many people have issues with the handles, which get pretty slick when wet.
Also, I have never understood what the top knife is really for. I know people call it a tourneeing knife but I don't think it works. That rounded edge wil always try to keep the blade going in one plane, no way it is better for cutting round stuff like potatoes.

I already have a Global chef's knife and really like it. What I hear is that the ones with the skinny handles are the ones that get slippery. The fat handled ones like the paring knife are well grippable at least in my experience. The only reasons I bought the top one are:
1. It was on super sale, which tells me you are not alone in not seeing the value of it.
2. Nostalgia. My grandfather worked a knife into a similar blade shape and I ended up with it when he died. I used it until the handle fell apart. It had some very specific uses. Can't actually remember any of them tho so could be I wasted my 30 bucks.
