Why is this the best fried chicken currently? Even their new tendies are fucking orgasmic. They can do no wrong.

I can't cook for shit and when I cook steak I'm always way too scared of overcooking it

I had this on 3 minutes each side let it rest under foil and it was god damn rare, put it on for like another minute each side

So my sister dragged me to this hipster restaurant where (I shit you not) they try to show off by grinding pepper over your food.

Not only does it make me sneeze but they do it in this really obnoxious way like they expect me to tip more for every grind.

Why does it seem like restaurants are trying to squeeze more and more out of the customers at every step? I don't even like pepper, let alone being guilted into paying more because someone was "generous" with the pepper grinder.

I know what you mean. The worst is when they come around with those bowls of freshly grated cheese. Why do I want cheese on my risotto? It turns out I should have accepted because it was bland as all hell.

My method isn't too exact, but I'll oil a frying pan, add in garlic and chalets(regular onions work too), throw in chopped tomatos and cook until the tomatos soften. add salt, pepper and oregano. Afterwords I use a masher on the tomatos until they're fully broken apart. Once you have your tomatoe mush and it's seasoned to your liking, add a cup of liquid chicken stock and let it reduce until you're happy with the consistency. That about covers it

holy fuck you are retarded
>>
I sweat onions for like 15 minutes, not browning it just letting it cook on low heat, then add in garlic and whatever seasonings and turn heat up to medium heat for like a minute or two, then dump in your can of tomatoes that I already crushed in a bowl. Add in any fresh herbs with the tomato.

One time I couldn't find them in the store and had the sudden realization that they could in fact be dog food
but I was confusing them for beggin strips

but yeah, their use is almost exclusively for cheese steaks
I wish that I could find actual sliced steaks

TSH just published a roundup review of the best utensil sets on the market which made me think about my dining sets. They are pretty plain except for a few of these LOOOOOOONG tined forks I inherited from my grandparents with wooden handles that are like a century old. I do have a set of Silverware in my Fine China/Crystal cabinet that I never bother to use.

Do you have any special and/or unusual eating tools /ck/?
If you have any silverware, when was the last time you polished them?
When was the last time you actually obeyed proper dining etiquette and set out the entire enchilada from the soup spoon to the salad fork?

Anyway, kraken is much better than sailor jerrys. Mostly because of dark and stormys.

What are some real simple ideas for lunch at work?
I'm sick of buying lunch at the cantine because it's a rip off and tastes like shit.
what are some good lunch idas for taking to work?
(we have a kettle, toaster and microwave at work but thats it)
ideally, my perfect lunch would be a pot noodle, but given the nutritional information of that i might aswell just eat paper amirite.
are there any healthier alternatives to a pot noodle/pasta pot. (one where i can just pour boiling water to enjoy a hot meal? soemthing real simple

you can rehydrate beef jerky with boiling water

put eggs in the kettle and hard boil them.
>>

if you use dried noodles you can parboil them, then pour boiling water at work. Same for fresh noodles.

Hello chefs, here are the rules. You have 30 minutes to create an entree with the ingredients inside the mystery basket.

We have ramen noodles, pie crust, canned ring spaghetti, and heirloom celery.

Time starts now!

>tfw all electric house
I can't use a gas range and I have an oversized skillet that doesn't work as well as it should because my electric burners are too small.

I know I could buy an external propane burner, but that would be a pain in the ass to store when I don't need it.

I know that I could get a skillet with a thicker bottom for better heat distribution, but I just bought this one.

Are there any adapters or extensions for larger electric coils? Help

I've never even used a gas hob so I don't know what I'm missing out on. We had a wood stove at home and cooking with it is a blast, but it's a bit labour intensive and it gets really really hot.
>>
>I know I could buy an external propane burner, but that would be a pain in the ass to store when I don't need it.

Do you have room to set it aside in some corner and cover it up?
>>
>>7140805
Yes, but if there' any other alternative I'd rather not buy a whole separate cook top.
