Anyway to make cottage cheese slightly enjoyable without adding calories?
Tomatoes and ground black pepper. If you think they have too many calories, you're a faggot.
Add shredded Gruyere & Herbes de Provence with sliced carrots

Sure. It was stolen from the cow in the first place.

To me it seems silly to cook a nice meal to just sit in front of the tv or computer and eat. How many of you enjoy your meal at a table instead?
If I'm alone, I usually eat breakfast and lunch standing at my kitchen counter. Since my cooking only really gets impressive when cooking for guests, I can stand to eat my regular dinners in front of the computer
I eat at the table or on the floor.
Well, that was always the rule in my house growing up. No eating anywhere but the breakfast table, or the dining table, unless we were outside eating at the picnic table in the backyard. Always at a table. So, in my own house, I only eat at the table, and so does my spouse and my kid. And no drinks in the bedrooms except water. If you want your morning coffee or tea, you still have to come to the breakfast table.

Nerd.
My wooden spoon is arguably my most used and loved thing in my entire kitchen.
It stirs tea, it breaks up hamburger to brown, it serves leftovers, and I can leave it on the stove without worrying about it melting.
Bought mine for $5 or some shit, and its lasted me years when other implements broke or fell apart.
All hail the wooden spoon. King of the kitchen.
Times are hard.

Making a big pot of red beans and rice tonight for new years, but I don't think its going to be enough.
What are some side dishes that go good with red beans and rice?
>>7218542
Rice goes well with red beans.
>>7218542
I've never seen red beans and rice on its own as the main course. At least, not without something more substantial added to it - sausage, shrimp, chicken, ham, etc. You could always go for some grilled veggies with creole seasoning, greens, or fried/roasted okra.
Red beans and rice shouldn't be the main course, it's a side dish. If you need more food though and you aren't making any entrees, go with veggies - mashed cauliflower or sauteed asparagus would be good.
I received a milk frother for Christmas.
I'm a drinker of black coffee and don't believe I will hardly ever use it.
It occurred to me that this is potentially a "multi-tasker" (to borrow a phrase from TV chef Alton Brown). Has anyone used a milk frother for other purposes?
The design is obviously similar to an immersion blender. However, it was obviously designed to be used on purely liquid ingredients and *might* serve as a weak, limited use immersion blender, at best.

Give it to your girlfriend and tell her it's a vibrator.
>>7218474
Shit like that is why I told my family and friends to stop getting me gifts for my birthday and christmas years ago. I would invariably end up with useless shit that I didn't want or need or gift certificates to stores that I had no interest in going to.
I told them that if they want to give me anything, just give me cash or a check and I'll buy something for myself. Most of them just stopped giving me anything at all which is fine too since I'm more than capable of buying my own shit anyway.
>>7218511
I don't think your family understands gift giving.
