Be careful if you visit this cafe, the workers will purposely screw around with your order if they don't like how you look/dress.

be careful if you go to OPs house he'll try to touch ur bum because he's a big fag
>>7217808
You can't make a claim like that without providing any proof. You could own a café next door.
I believe you, OP.
Going to pic related today with the family, what do you recommend I get?
Try the Longhorn
>>7217706
Honestly?
The chicken. I had it once there before and it was charbroiled to perfection and marinated in peri-peri sauce.
So... good.
>Mother buys Carnation Milk, and then adds water to it
>Add 3 spoonfuls of butter to pasta, after she's drained the water
>Adds entire conglomerates of spice, food still tastes bland
>Puts leftover food in non-microwavable bowls
>Thinks Parmesan Cheese will melt like Cheddar because they're both cheese
>>7217668
>adds water to milk
So shes cooking something that uses water and milk? Whats wrong here?
My favorite cooking cringe moment os when you see someone using a metal spoon with a non stick pot. That scraping noise. So youre just gonna scrape that teflon right into the food, oh ok.
>>7217702
>Whats wrong here?
Carnation is a brand of evaporated milk. I assume OP is calling her out for buying that stuff instead of normal fresh milk.
>>7217668
But parmesan does melt.
Bagels with tons of cream cheese this morning.
Why not? It's the end of the year!
How are you indulging today?
By liberally sprinkling sage over cancerous threads like this one.
>>7217664
good lord I hate people who use the side of container to wipe off the knife. bloody animals.
also.. why does the bread knife have prongs?
I'm going to work and I'm going to have a croissant at work. The bakery near work is god tier, and the croissant will be the highlight of my day, I just hope nobody interrupts me while I'm eating it. My office should be closing early today.
Then, later, I will come home, start a load of laundry, and masturbate to pornography. I haven't decided which one but maybe I'll download some of that electrocution stuff, I didn't even know I had that fetish until /hc/ taught me about it. If I'm not in the mood for something cruel I might just watch some vintage early 2000s lesbian porn.
I'm probably going to roast a chicken, because I've been craving roast chicken lately.
As it gets later, I will probably drink some alcohol, and possibly rummage through my drawer to find the dessicated bag of marijuana that I bought last summer for no particular reason, and have barely touched. I don't really enjoy marijuana but it could be a nice change of pace.
I haven't gone out on NYE for years, because if I stay sober it's unbearable with all the screaming and the stupidity, and if I get drunk enough where it's actually bearable, terrible things happen. Easily my least favorite "holiday", even worse than St Patrick's day.
Are there any foods you are (or were) really excited to get to eat at grandma's house? My grandma used to can peaches like mad so I'd always have some peaches & cream
Her candy bowl mah nigguh
>>7217643
My granny would always make chopped olive sandwiches (basically chopped black olive mixed with mayo on white bread), and a clam dip that is legendary in our family. Every holiday, someone makes clam dip, and we all try to get it as close as possible to grandma's.
Has anyone ever gone on a solid food detox diet and actually felt better?I don't think unless it's for a long period of time these diets really do anything. Detoxing just seems like a bored soccer mom fad and a buzzword; and these diets barely do anything for the body unless it's a lifestyle instead of a week or a month habit. What are your experiences /ck/, ever been on one of these short term diets or live this lifestyle?
Just eat healthily. Ten seconds of research should convince you that "detoxifying" is a bullshit concept
>>7217630
if you look up anything with the word detox in it you just find blogs of Middle Aged women with to much time on their hands raving about avocados
If you look up the definition of toxicity, then that will clear up everything.
Vitamin A can reach toxic levels at around 10000 IUs per day for example. Arsenic can reach toxicity and spirulina has some preliminary evidence for lowering levels, but if normal levels produce no clinical side effects, then it's pointless to begin with. Alcohol is detoxified by the liver while N-acetylcysteine has been shown to help with that and has been used as treatment in liver failure for a while now.
There is no real detox diet. In fact, consuming ridiculously large amounts of single foods will possibly increase your likelihood of toxicity. A balanced diet is and has always been the best. You could go the extra mile and look up pesticide levels in foods, the specific pesticide and its effects, and arsenic and heavy metal levels. A rule of thumb would be to avoid Chinese.
Detox is a fad just like superfoods, toning and spot reduction. You can put any spin you want on it, being healthy has always been a fairly simple thing.
Does anyone here have experience with Swai fillet/Swai fish?
Is it healthy enough to eat daily? The only info I can find online is propaganda against it because it endangers the US Catfish market.
>>7217604
I like it and its cheaper than catfish
>>7217604
I did some googling, it's almost impossible for some reason to find any recent independent test results from the West (scientists being useless cunts as far as food safety is concerned as usual). Here is some from Egypt, Palestine and Poland though.

Conclusion : very significant lead and cadmium content, not a problem for infrequent consumption but not something you'd want to eat daily.
Ignoring that, I dislike the texture of panga/swai, of the garbage farmed fish I prefer Tilapia (used to be just as cheap, but Panga pushed it out of the market a bit).
western food never tasted this good.
how good are these?
nobody likes carrots, fag.
>>7217601
ok professor
too many weird hard bits in them...low quality sausage.
Need some /ck/ /adv/
So I am going out for dinner to a restaurant with my gf and her whole family (her mother, father, 2 brothers. One of them has a wife and 1 son). Now I have realized that in my 5 years of dating her that I have never gone out to a restaurant with her and her whole family.
Whats the go? Should I pay or offer to pay for all of us or just me and my gf? How does paying and stuff work for this sort of situation anyways at the end of the night?
Restaurant is in the $25-30aud price range per head. plus drinks. So all up it would most likely be around $300+
This is the girl I plan on marrying and proposing to next year too if it matters.
>>7217433
Oh and whenever we have eaten out with my family it was always my parents who paid.
Would it be the same if im eating out with her family or would i look like a total faggot if i dont pay for everyone?
You'd want to pay for yourself and your geef. Most likely the brothers will pay for themselves (and the wife+son), and the parents will pay for themselves.
If your geef's parents offer to pay for all, play it by ear and accept if you have to. Otherwise, suggest once that you can pay for yourself and your geef and then let it go.
>>7217441
Always offer to pay for yourself, even if you know the parents will cover the whole bill. The parents will respect you more.
o si muy bueno
I wonder not if but how much will hollywood fuck this up when they make the movie
Are you having a Mac Tonight, /ck/?
I prefer a good linux kernel.
>>7217390
oh shut the fuck up faggot before I slice your throat neck
>>7217392
op here, i'm not this faggot
http://www.armytimes.com/story/military/2015/12/30/army-needs-volunteers-eat-only-mres-21-days-straight/78011512/
>Participants must be within a reasonable drive to ARIEM's Natick, Massachusetts, location, and be willing to go without anything but MREs, water and black coffee for three weeks — no other food or drink, including no alcohol. The study, which includes multiple blood draws and other medical scans, requires a six-week commitment.
Someone from /ck/ has gotta be up for that.
I live down the road but have a full time job so I don't think I can participate
I've eaten nothing but Hungry Man and Lunchables for a month. That's basically the same thing.
I'd do it but I live in PA.
:(((
>this is better than 5 Guys
fry some fucking bologna and put it on some ground beef from stop & shop and it's better than meme/fast/food
>>7217169
Yea that's great, let me unhinge my jaw just to take a bite. Meme burger.
>fuck outta here
do americans really eat this?
Savory, sweet, whatever. Post your pies in here.
Made this chicken pie for dinner tonight. Turned out creamy and delicious!
>>7217159
Looks runny. I always make mine with lots of potato and then mix in egg for extra structure and brotein.
>>7217177
A little more runny than I would have liked but I just couldn't wait for it to cool.
just got a set of global knives but I'm not really happy with them
they are great for some things, but I find they tend to form a vaccuum when cutting anything wet and dense, and the smaller knives are awful, they just scaled down the whole knife so you're left holding this tiny handle
I'd probably just get one knife for sushi and ultra thin cutting
>>7217139
yeah, these don't have great reviews from what i've seen before. were they a gift or did you get them for yourself?
>>7217170
I bought them, but only because I got a really good deal on them
so I think I got what I paid for, probably sell most of them on
I like a light handle, but I think these are even too light for me
worst is useing them for anything involving bones, they are much too sharp and the edge is too thin for butchering type work, the blad cuts right into the bone and it's too easy to accidentally cut off small pieces of bone
>l2use knives
I have a global chef's knife, and my only complaint is that it gets dull quickly and I'm too lazy to spend an hour whetstone sharpening.
