Denny's knows the score. Their high volume customers are divided into groups. One of those groups are after bar hours drunks. Because of this, they have lots of color pictures on the menu so you can just point at what looks good. I usually point at something greasy and cheesy.

I usually get the French toast breakfast for $6 from the $2 $4 $6 $8 menu.

My mom used to serve me the canned product instead of fresh. Then in college I figured out how to cook and had my world rocked.

I saw on the leddit/cooking/ front page there was a recipe for cooking turtle meat/turtle dicks?(wtf i know but it actually looked tasty AF in the end)

The video recipe was from someone in Australia and I'm from Australia too but I can't figure out where can I actually get tutle meat from. I didn't even know that they sold it here.

Has anyone else used turtle meat before or know where to get it from? I called the store on the price tag but they laughed at me and hung up.

When I lived in the Cayman Islands they sold turtle meat locally that was raised at the turtle farm. I tried it a few times but never cared much for it. It just tasted overpoweringly fishy and slimy to me.

Today we're gonna make something I had the pleasure to eat some time ago and wanted to try making: feijoada, a Brazilian bean and meat stew.

You will need black beans, dried beef, bay leaf, pork chops (ideally smoked), bacon, sausage, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, cayenne, parsley, olive oil, bread crumbs and orange zest.

Some of you will realize there are no beans or dry beef pictured, and that would be because I started ahead because cooking that stuff takes ages.

For you though, you will soak the beans overnight, then simmer them in water about 2 hours, chop your beef and add it to the beans, to simmer an additional 2 hours.

I'm about 3 hours into the cooking so I'm now starting on the rest now. Here's how the beans are looking.

The area around Heathrow is an economic wasteland. Your best bet is to find a cheap hotel deal, go to an off license and buy a bottle. Even with the cost of the room, it will be cheaper than traveling into London and getting pissed at an overpriced, shitty bar.

On the other hand, you could head into London and go to the Borough Markets if they're open, they have an amazing array of food and alcohol. Find the Somerset Distilleries stand and buy a bottle of Kingston Black aperitif, get a bag of ice from a local supermarket and drink the fuck out of it, it's essentially the nectar of the gods.

Depends; can you actually leave the transit lounge?

If you can, you'll still have to actually go into London. Take the Heathrow Express; it's expensive but it'll dump you right in Paddington and you can get anywhere from there.

Yeah she's hot like a twelve year old. Gets the job done eventually. You gotta fill her up (mine is Betty) with all your stuff at one time, then pour your chicken stock or vegetable soup or whatever on top of it, and let it sit for about 5 hours until the meat isn't rawed.

Bought a can of calamari today (>inb4 should have bought fresh, they didn't have any). Never made it before. Was going to deep fry it and dip it in saus. Is it pretty straight forward?

I would rinse it off first and season it.

You can also just dredge it in seasoned flour and fry it like that. Just don't cook it too long or it will turn into rubber.
