So I ordered pic related on amazon; it'l be coming soon. Local foreign markets don't carry them =/.

Has anyone had it and what does it pair best with?

I want to use lemongrass, bok choy, and green onion obv ( and some mushrooms and raw white onions as well ). But does it pair better with poultry, beef, or seafood? I'm a huge fan of calamari so I might try it with that first I think unless someone has experience with it and knows better.

Ice water w/ ice cubes also is great when drinking out of a glass cup; same thing in plastic solo cups is shit.

I'm also a fan of the styrofoam cups that chickfillet uses when serving dr.pepper; it's goat.

So in a feeble attempt to curb my habit of never cooking anything ever I bought a slow cooker so I can throw shit in it in the morning and when I get off work have something better than McDonalds.

Thing is, I don't really have any recipes to draw from to throw in the pot. What are some of y'alls favorite recipes using this thing -- preferably on the cheap.

Only used it for the marinade though.

Bought a 7lb shoulder. Used the dry and wet ingredients, threw it in the crock pot.

Going to shed it, bag up the leftovers and put in the freezer, and use some for a Cuban style pizza tonight. A little extra work, but the recipe sounds pretty good for sandwiches.

I did double up the marinade ingredients because it's 7 lbs and bumped up the time to 8 hours.

I try and post an OC thread every weekend, but I've come down with an annoying as fuck cold, so I'm just going to do something simple tonight and then work on another ck related project as I recover over the next few days. Yeah that's right, some Hawaiian pulled pork sandwiches.

Here's the layer of sweet onion I'm putting down on the bottom of the crock pot chopped fairly large to act as both a buffer, tenderizer, and add flavor.

Well, let's take a look at this meat. I pretty much just grabbed-and-go when it came to the selection. I'm so congested right now I can barely see straight. 6.68 lbs, not too bad, think that will do. Pork shoulder is probably one of my more favorable cuts of pork too. This one looks a little fatty from what I normally buy, but at that price I'm not going to complain much.
