Does /ck/ sous vide?
>cooking things in plastic bags in boiling water
No, I'd rather enjoy my food without the plastic chemicals seeping into it.

She sounds a lot like that elizabeth hurley girl; even makes dank pasta.
I want to make tiramisù, savoiardi biscuits on up.
I think I got everything ready but I do't drink coffee so I'm not sure how I should handle the espresso dunk. I don't even own a percolator. "Instant" espresso sounds fucking awful. Should I just go to Starbucks are buy a 20oz-er of espresso?
go to starbucks
>>7305846
no, just use instant (you don't even need instant espresso just make regular dark roast instant with an extra scoop in the cup to make it stronger). for this application it makes absolutely no difference.

You are persuasive. I shall do this. Thanks.
Are Perugina chocolates good?
I know they're owned by Nestle.
Wa la
I was cleaning out my cupboards and found a box of cake mix that expired in September 2010. I don't even use boxed cake mix and I don't know how I've had it for so long.
Anyways, do you guys think it's safe to use? It's still totally sealed, the boxed is fine, no evidence of moisture or anything.
Should I toss it? Bake it and see what happens? Eat the whole thing?

Why on Earth would you have a pre-packaged mix for pancakes? It's literally flour, milk and eggs.
Is the package just flour and sold to morons?
>>7305773
>no leavening
enjoy your shit husks
Making a homemade banana pudding. The kind you cook.
Recipe calls for flour but doesn't specify which kind (self rising or all purpose).
What do you think /ck/?
>>7305583
When in doubt, all purpose.
I mean, isn't that the point of it?
>>7305583
all purpose, but i would replace it with something with a better texture and less prone to lumpiness, like tapioca starch
>>7305583
The reality of that picture.
You dive in there w/ her, everyone gets cuts and scrapes and bruises (those chips are pointy) Dries out her cooch, also that's about 30 bags of doritos not one.

Does anyone else add stuff at home when taking home restaurant food?
I put Chinese-style chili oil a pan and slightly re-fry my take-out fried rice.
I add Tabasco to my take-out pizza.
Order Vegetable Lo Mein
add Grilled or Fried Chicken breast chunks
???
profit
>>7305414
that's retarded. if you're going to do that why not just make your own fucking fried rice
refrying takeout fried rice is beyond the fucking pale OP
Now you have to clean a wok, and if you're going to do that you may as well take the extra 5 mins to chop some shit up and make your own goddam fried rice
just order it with chili oil ffs
>yfw you realize Dr Pepper is just black cherry cream soda
prune juice actually
Actually it's pepper flavoured, thus the name..
>>7305408
I've heard that before and I don't believe that anything prune-related is a part of the recipe at all. It's definitely a cream soda. That much is obvious. The distinct flavor, however, has to be cherry-related. They even made a cherry flavored version that tastes just like the original but with more cherries.
Got gifted some spices (pic related) that contain:
>Ground Himalayan salt (87%) and spices in varying proportions (13%):savory, rosemary, thyme, lemongrass.
Thing is I very rarely cook with spices and I have no idea what to do with this mix. Any ideas?
>>7305363
A roast is my first choice.
>>7305363
Looks like a variation of herbes salées.. I would use it on roasts, in soups or in mashed potatoes... Basically use it as the salt component in your recipe.
>>7305363
Finely dice 2 large bunches of fresh parsley, then add these ground up spices:
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp coriander
Add this mix with 1 tbsp of your salt blend in a large mixing bowl. Shuffle everything around until the parsley flakes are evenly coated. Get 2-3 pounds of ground lamb or beef & start mashing it in with the spices. Keep folding the flesh on itself until the coloring is uniform & the parsley bits are interspersed throughout.
Stick the bowl in the fridge or other cold spot for 30 mins.
Then grill some patties, skewers or steaks & roast some garlic. Dip it in hummous, wrab it in pita or break chunks of it in salad--it's heaven.
Hey guys I fucking suck at cooking anything past omlete, Pasta, and basic microwaveable food. I want to learn how to cook but all of the website that I find are targeting housewives who are looking for new recipes.
Any websites that focuses on easy (and maybe cheap) cooking for beginners?
Have you tried asking that dog?
Just trial and error
