Hi guys, it's that guy who's about to poison his roommates. I'm making chicken dumplings, fried, and the recipe calls for ground chicken. Should I cook the chicken before adding it to the filling, or cook it inside the dumplings? I will be chopping rather than grinding it. I imagine it will cook pretty fast because of being chopped finely. On the other hand, if I cook it before adding it will definitely not kill anyone and I might be able to grind and mix it into the filling better. Any ideas?

Best and easiest is crushed tomatoes, chopped up chilli peppers, and whatever meat you like. Simmer it uncovered for a while until a lot of the water has evaporated from the tomato sauce

Let's have a roomie / flatmate story thread.
Post stories.

I'll start:
>away from uni apartment for 3 weeks
>come back to this
I fucking hate this place.
301 posts and 53 images submitted.
>>
I came back from break to every single dish and cookware we had dirty, taking up all sink, counter, and some of the kitchen floor, a box of cereal spilled on the carpet and walked on, spilled drinks, and more dishes in the living room.
Living with other people can suck, but count yourself lucky and stay on top of it because it can and probably will get worse if you don't.
>>
>roommate moves out
>notice a missing wine glass
>ask if she accidentally took it with her during the move
>NO I DIDN'T TAKE IT
>okay
>months later
>ex roomie: hey Anon, remember that wine glass? Well I actually broke it by accident.
>Why didn't you just tell me that?
>because you only asked if I took it, which I didn't.
>>
My roommate moved out before me.
She took my two pans and a pot.
They were all shitty grocery store brand ones that were beat up, so I would not have cared too much, except I was there for another three weeks after she left, so I pretty much just ate rice + steamed whatever I had around or prepackaged bs.

Then I moved and bought a nice pan set, which by the end of the yearlong lease, were completely scratched to shit and ruined between four roommates, so I threw them out.

Now I live with a single, competent roommate who treats my pans nicely, at least.

Also, my one roommate at the second place would thaw raw chicken in the sink for hours, leaving the sink unusable, so dishes would be scattered all over the counter. They would remain there after the chicken was out of the sink.

Steak.

Flip it once or flip it multiple times?

Discuss
10 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Either way works fine.
>>
from the studies done on the matter, flipping multiple times does ultimately result in a juicier product because its continuously being redistributed instead of having a chance to pool from gravity. however its not as though flipping once will ruin your steak or anything.

its actually much more important to not sear your meat until AFTER it has been cooked, searing it before hand doesn't "seal in the juices" that isnt how meat works you stupid classically trained french fucks!!!
it actually causes a more rapid loss of moisture because it shocks the meat instead of bringing it to temp slowly.

so we have learned, flip often, sear at the end
>>
You're actually supposed to flip it multiple times according to seriouseats.
