alright co/ck/s I need some recipe help.

I'm going to be making Valentine's Day dinner for my boyfriend. however, I'm not quite sure what to make. I wanted it to be a four-course meal: appetizer, salad, entree, dessert.
except, of course, I'm not really sure what to make.

I was thinking for the salad I would do a strawberry/avocado salad because it's healthy without lettuce (which is bland). it's also brightly colored and the red strawberries are reminiscent of Valentine's Day.

maybe stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer? does anyone have a unique and delicious stuffed mushroom they like to make?

entree: I was hoping I would be able to buy lamb chops, but if they're not on the market or too expensive I'll be doing small ribeye steaks instead. served over horseradish mashed potatoes - my boyfriend LOVES horseradish and has never had it in mashed potatoes so I hope to surprise him with something good there. but I need a green to go with the entree.

I'm completely lost on dessert. I was maybe going to do chocolate covered strawberries as a side thing, since I'll already be buying them. chocolate in the dessert isn't a must but it would be preferable.

give me all your ideas, /ck/, so I can make this Valentine's Day super uber special for my bae <3

Has anyone here had any success making a pizza, without a baking stone, that wasn't terrible?

I've got a bunch of dough left, and I just don't know what to do. It's always undercooked or burnt.

Mary Fiumara, Mother in Indelible Prince Spaghetti Ad, Dies at 88

From Juliet to Alice Kramden, women have communed from their upper-story windows, but few ever reached a wider audience with as mundane a message as Mary Fiumara.

In an indelible long-running television commercial first broadcast in 1969, Mrs. Fiumara, playing a devoted, robust and aproned mother, convincingly hollers “Anthony! Anthony!” from a second-floor tenement window in the Italian North End of Boston to summon home her 12-year-old son from blocks away for a hearty serving of Prince spaghetti.

To get there, Anthony, in short pants and sneakers, wends his way through a crowded street market, races up the stairs and arrives out of breath but, like his welcoming mother, smiling.

Mrs. Fiumara (pronounced few-MAH-ruh) died on Tuesday. She was 88 and had lived in the North End since she was a teenager. Her death was confirmed by her son, John Fiumara.

Protip: When using oil in your pan, use only 1 table spoon. dont drizzle and pour oil like a retard because just 1 tbl spoon contains 120 calories
if you pour olive oil into your frying pan then guess what, you just added 400+ calories into your food that you didnt know about

Pic related is what I'm drinking right now, and I was just wondering...what is it that makes most macrobrews taste so much worse than microbews? Is it the ingredients? The way it's made? Why is so much beer that is produced on a large scale not good?

By the way, I'm not an elitist snob, I'll drink whatever like I'm doing now. I was just wondering what you guys think
