Hey /ck/, I cant cook and Im trying to live very cheap right now
What are some good foods I can make and learn to cook at the same time?

>haven't eaten there before, search some low cal options
>get myself two roast beef jrs and 2 jr ham and cheese
>excited to try the roast beef sandwich, since it's their main attraction
>it's fucking terrible, no flavor, dryer than I expected, and took really long to come out (lol fast food)
>the ham and cheese wasn't even spectacular, just average
Why the fuck do people eat at that place? What's the main draw?

I hate to start more fast food threads on /ck/ but fuck I want some answers.

So I have a jar of This curry. It's the older stock which looks more red. On their site and the new stuff their Korma now looks yellow. (wtf, idk).

Anyways I want to add strips of chicken into it. How do I make the chicken as tender as possible. Should I salt it and let it stand for 15 min. to let the juices rise before I cut it into strips? Should I boil it before i add it to sauce, or let it cook in the sauce? I don't know.

Any Ideas? I don't want dry chicken in my curry.

This happened last night. Can I sue the delivery guy / pizza restaurant?

>include the same delivery instructions EVERY TIME
>"Knock on the basement window. Pass the pizza inside. Don't look at me."

>hear rustling outside

>reach up to open it
>his friend is lying down right by the window and hands me the pizza

Can I sue the pizza delivery guy for *** up the order? What's the *** POINT of having a delivery instructions option if they're not going to pay attention to them?

Do you ever stop to marvel at the fact that we can just go to shops and buy food? Every other creature on the planet has to kill, main or forage their own food, and even then it's going to be raw and covered in dirt and shit.

Pets and farm animals are the only exception, and they're just more proof that we've got it so good we can raise other species out of the maelstrom just for the hell of it.

Food and cooking is amazing.

Does /ck/ have recommendations for good documentaries about cooking or restaurants? I've seen everything Gordan Ramsay has been in and of course Jiro: Dreams of Sushi. When I search for similar documentaries, I end with a bunch of shitty vegan propaganda movies.
