Sweet potato gnocchi with bacon and peas, sauced with butter/bacon fat and sage. Tomatoes and Manchego.
Almost everything (even the sage) came out of the freezer. People have a bad habit around here of buying shit they don't need when it's on sale and throwing it immediately into the freezer. This was just an easy meal to clear out a few things.

i do things like... just now i cut up a chicken breast finely with scissors into a pan of hot butter. sizzled it medium till done and put into a bowl with cubed chedder and mayo, mixed it around, shrapped up half a head of lettuce into a big bowl and added salt, pepper, garlic, olive oil, and stirred in the chicken-chedder-mayo-butter salad stuff. ate with two cans of diet mountain dew which is very smooth, yum.
if any of you do severe carbohydrate and sugar restriction lets talk about it bby

Costco has great nuts but the bags are too big. By the time I finish them, they've not so fresh anymore. All the small batch bags I've found have been not so fresh to begin with.

Uh a store that sells by the oz? In my area we have Sprouts and they have nuts and dry goods in giant containers so you just put however much you want into plastic bags.
I see these things in more affluent/nicer parts of town where the markets don't really fear people trying to steal or put their grubby paws into the food.

so guys i'm doing a keto diet. i've done this before when i was 19 or so and lost 50 pounds.
what are your favorite keto foods/dishes? i've mostly been eating eggs with spinach and cheese,walnuts, cheese, meats, cheese, walnuts, cheese, meats... uhh... celery with cream cheese and peanut butter...
i'm thinking of making a keto cheesecake with almonds and fake sugar... last night i went to the gas station at 2am to get four bottles of diet soda and two bags of jerky...

I would make at lot of tuna salad eaten in a lettuce wrap. Bacon is surprisingly good with it, not even memeing. Also adding some curry powder to tuna salad is a nice change.

i'm interested in how aspartame would do that. i'm not saying that it does, i'm just actually curious if it could. obviously there are no actual sugars present so wouldn't your body just set itself up and get let down pretty quickly, if the mere taste of sweetness kicked it into insulin production? i always thought the body didn't see diet soda as food, because if you drink it with alcohol you get drunk faster since your digestive tract shoots it through like water where it slows down for regular sodas.
