Now that landrace maize is becoming more mainstream outside of Mexico, do you think the general public will find it easier to understand why genetic contamination from vile strands of transgenic frankengenes poses such an enormous risk to humanity's gastronomic heritage?
Will students organize to force their schools to divest from Monsanto, much like the BDS movement successfully opposed apartheid?

>comparing GMOs to apartheid
yeah no m8

Are you the new Edgar, or have you been Edgar all along?
There is space for both crops engineered for efficiency and cool heirloom shit for taste.
hello cocks
i bought a bottle of coconut juice the other day because i wanted to see what the fuzz was all about, i hear people talk about it like it's the best ever - nutrient, cooling, healthy.
But it tasted really off for me, idk. kinda reminded me about the water fermented veggies are in. Not as tingly of course, if that makes sense. But slightly along those lines.
What's it supposed to taste like?
Did I get a bad batch?
I was expecting more or less water but with a "refreshing" touch to it, kinda like cucumber water or something.
>>7374919
It should taste like sweet, mildly coconutty water that refreshes you more than it should.
>>7374919
unless your tastebuds dont work correctly, yes you probably got a bad batch or whatever brand you bought mixed some shit in it.
it should be a sweet tasting water with coconut flavor.
>>7374919
Did you buy coconut water from coconuts sourced in the Atlantic? Because a while back we came to the conclusion that Atlantic coconut water is shit.
how much MSG do you consume per year?
I'm 'murrican and probably consume more msg than hfcs, simply because I eat fresh, non-refined foods, but also use a bunch of weeb seasonings.
Literally nothing wrong with msg.
>>7374494
Its somewhat of a faux pas here in seattle, so only the americhinese and dingier pho places use it
i have a container of it in my kitchen, but I use very little of it. probably like 3oz a year
>>7374494
Why the fuck would I know? It's not really something that worth counting.
my microwave just died, i need suggestions for a replacement 100 dalloroos max, that is ofc if ck uses microwaves :^)
>>7374456
what state are you in? got a near new one here for $25
>>7374456
I ebayed a new Sharp Carousel Inverter for $85 dollarydoos.

What's the best chewing gum money can buy?
These seem to be a "Wisconsin-Only" Item after a brief research, but has anyone maybe somehow gotten to taste these before?
Just bought some today. They're a little pricey for what you'd imagine a candy, but the packages are pretty hefty and always usually filled to the brim.
I love these things because they taste like that pink slime soap you find in McDonalds bathrooms or usually any public bathroom. Its a weird soapy candy, apparently went out of business at first because nobody really liked 'em, but a Wisconsin man brought em back.
Theyre a bitch to find. Only some months do stores have them in stock, or maybe Im just dumb and dont find them. I try to find these as often I can these lil fuckers r good.
>>7374090
>taste like that pink slime soap
wat
>>7374098
Thats literally the best way to describe the taste. If you look on he website, they even have an FAQ of people claiming it tastes like soap, perfume, etc.
It has a wierd taste, but Im oddly hooked to it.

/Wife material/ thread: Valentines edition
she left the tomato in halves because it looks like that rear end you'll be pounding on valentines evening
>>7374065
Well, the love heart symbol is literally a modern expression of what classically represented a vagina. I mean dictionary literally, not false literally. This "heart" shit is just modern gentrification.
>>7374071
It's supposed to be a ballsack, but it was turned upside down over the years
Did I fuck up, /ck/?
Also steak general
I cant really tell. What are you marinating it in?
>>7374057
Apple juice
>>7374049
If you're cooking steak correctly any marinade is almost pointless. That's just my opinion though
My parents just made fresh mozzarella, but they think that you don't have to refrigerate it. So right now there is about 12 lbs of mozzarella on my counter and it's going to stay like that for the next couple of days. Don't you refrigerate it?
how do i make mozzarella? Is it easy as shit to make?
I don't think you HAVE to.
It'll taste like shit the next day though.
>>7374051
Sorry, it'll taste like shit the next day either way you choose. Mozz is best eaten right away
I spent $14 on takeout chinese earlier from a place i'd never been to in a new city and it was disgusting. All I could eat was the hot and sour soup.
I just moved into a new apartment so I wanted to celebrate tonight....I bought a few of those lame party pizzas to keep in the freezer for drunk friends and I also bought a box of spicy cheezits.
This isn't going to work for me.
Should I order out and just deal with it? What should I order?
>>7374037
what city is it
>>7374061
philly
>>7374063
any pizza joint, get a chicken cutlet sub with LTO and hots, M&M
What foods are primarily composed of one macronutrient?
Post pics.
Pic related, oil is composed of lipids.
sugar is pretty much all carbs.
lollipops are good proteons
Good thread, OP
i have baked butter rolls for the first time
what do you say? ^o^
No thanks, im still full from last night m8
>>7373958
I want to put pizza and frenchfries with sriracha and ranch dip and smoked salmon in between on of these butter babies and stuff it in my mouth with ketchup.
>>7373958
Sorry, not a fan of butter rolls.
Here's some soda bread.
Never had a beer before, what should be my first one? How do I become a part of the craft microbrew beer culture? Should I get one of these? I want to drink for the taste, not to get drunk. Thanks in advance, guys!
>>7373710
i recommend some matsos lychee, its a bit pricey but is a great start to your micro-brew craft culture collection of tastes
>what should be my first one?
DIPA is always a good choice. Look for words like "imperial" and "extreme" on the label. Anything below 10% ABV is low quality beer.
>How do I become a part of the craft microbrew beer culture?
Just remember it's 2016 and we have craft beer now, not normal beer. Craft beer has colorful labels, aggressive names, and aggressive innovative flavor combinations that go beyond the luddite crap that budweiser (a european company) try to market on us.
>Should I get one of these?
You should get at least 24 of those.
>I want to drink for the taste, not to get drunk.
What are you some kind of lightweight? Drink more, pray to the invisible skyfather less. The preachers have really done a number on your impressionable mind.
>>7373710
Go to your local beer shop, grab an empty 6-pack box, and grab whatever seems alright.
Is this true?
I find it hard to imagine the cocktail classes just serving mixed nuts as an hors d'oeuvre.
what's this from?
>>7374312
Vance Packard, the Status Seekers.
>the three lower classes
There are only three. Working class, middle class and upper class. Also, what the fuck is a hors d'ouvre?
>Caesar salad
>Customer asks for american cheese substitute
>things that never happened
No one has ever done that. You're an idiot.
