When's the last time you went into a diner, sat at the counter, and had a nice greasy sandwich of egg, meat, and cheese on a hard roll, maybe some hash, while old people around you talked about things?
>>7524841
Im in a college town. Sat down at the counter in the local breakfast joint thats been there since the 50s, has rave reviews.
The owners treated me like shit, they took forever to get me my food, and then they fucked my order up and got mad as hell when I brought it up to them.
Also its cash only so I had to use their god damn ATM which has like a 10$ fee.
>>7524848
is this common around old places like this?
>>7524854
I'm sure he's exaggerating a little (no ATM has a $10 fee, for example) but those old places can be unwelcoming sometimes to people that aren't regulars. They'll treat the old folks that have been coming there for decades with total courtesy but if some out-of-towner or young wiseass saunters in they're all "wtf do YOU want"? Shame since sometimes the food is pretty damned good. And if you pay with a card... hooo boy, look out.

Fuck presentation. I do not give a shit that you took my tiny portion and made it look "nice" with a piece of basil and a puddle of raspberry jam aoili.
What kind of additives/preservatives make you nope out from buying a food product?

Can we at least agree that these diets are okay so long as the processed food companies aren't a part of any of them?
Isn't it the food manufacturer's product that is hurting their potential to be more effective?
>I of course don't mean to blame McDonalds, I lay the blame on the consumer who buys a burger and fries instead of making your own healthy food (following whatever dietary restrictions they please)
I'm a pescatarian, but I don't have any reason, it's just what I grew up on. If you want to eat meat go ahead, I couldn't give two fucks. I just don't feel the need to eat any other meat but fish. I don't miss what I have never had.
According to Google Trends, the "paleo" fad, practiced only by boring ass special snowflakes, peaked in 2014. Lact-ovo vegetarians are like sewer mutants from the 80s, and tend to have worse nutrition than anyone because they assume milk and eggs are magic. Just look at all the fatasses in India. Too many vegans eat processed bullshit imitations SAD food. https://www.drmcdougall.com/misc/2008nl/dec/fat.htm
A diet of whole plant foods is objectively the best.

Where can I get some bold pepperoni? The kind that is concave like this
That is activated peperoni.
>>7524049
Just get salami or pepperoni with a lot of fat and cook it long enough, all of them will turn into grease pools if your oven is hot enough.
just slice it thick.
I snack far too much and want to lose weight. Rather than trying to cut out snacking entirely, I figure I should start with less-fattening stuff in addition to exercise.
I don't care if it's empty calories, I don't care if it's loaded with chemicals, I just want something with a good shelf-life and very little preparation. What should I get?
the problem with empty calories (read: sugar) is that you'll be hungry pretty soon afterward
why not just fit nuts into your calorie allowance? the fat + protein content will keep you satiated for a longer period of time.

airpopped popcorn
Pickles. They taste good and have virtually no calories, also pretty filling.

What do you think of this sandwich? How often do you eat sandwiches?

every now and again
thanks for the thread i like it a lot genuinely.
DID SOMEBODY SAY DAGWOOD THREAD?
it's tasty of course. but it's so versatile. You can carry it around with you as you make your way on your long and tireless journey. Let's say you were stopped by the police and had to put your hands up? Couldn't exactly do that with those chili cheese fries now could you? You'd have chili all over yourself, you might even accidentally sling some at the kind officer and he mistakes it for a deadly weapon. You'd sure be out of luck then. The potato tornado though? attached firmly to it's carrying unit. Plus if you're really hungry you could carry at least 8 are once, probably more if you're American. Hell you can even give them away to people you like , or even people you hate. No one is going to dislike a dude that gives them a potato tornado. you might even make a few friends. All in all I'd say it's probably the only way to eat potatoes, my father raised me on nothing but potato tornadoes and I will do the same if I were to ever bear the responsibility of parent hood.

first off, smiles are way better than people give them credit for. chili cheese smiles are god like.
next how the fuck do you rank standard cut over garlic or curly fries? why aren't crinkle cut on the bottom? why are chips so low?
I like the square style pizza like this, not the round one. Is this called deep dish?

How can anyone unironically hate the taste of delicious blood?
>>7522282
I doubt it's the taste that bothers them, it's the mental block some people have about eating stuff they consider "gross".
Besides, blood sausage aka black pudding is strongly seasoned and tastes little of blood. Is the tofu-like stuff found in some Asian dishes that really has a blood flavor.
tfw can't find blood sausage where I live
suffering
Blood is a life sustaining food. I was reading about Genghis Khan where the mongrels would make small cuts in their horses and drink the warm fresh blood to quell their hunger when no food was available.
Where should we eat dinner tonight, senpai?

Not an H-town fan I presume?
>craft beer and food centered around it
>every regional central American food tradition represented
>BBQ
>Lots of Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese
>Cajun, southern, Creole styles abundant
>fusion of all of the above in lots of combinations
The only things lacking are solid old world places (French or Italian). And I might be wrong - Houston is huge.

I love the original Ninfas but would highly recommend you try El Tiempo, it's right next to Ninfa's on Navigation.

The only difference for you simpletons is that chicken fried steak is cooked in oil previously used to cook fried chicken...
Country fried steak is the same goddamn thing just in unused oil. Fuckin yank.
