Ahah yeah I'm European
my girlfriend of 6 years father
i've seen him salt and pepper a grilled cheese sandwich then cover it in ketchup. i've seen this guy dip meatloaf in ranch dressing.
i had him over for dinner one time early on in the relationship. i made a fucking perfect steak with peas and mushrooms and twice baked potatoes which took 2 hours to make. this fucking guy must have salted the entire plate for 10 full seconds then asked where the ketchup was. i told him i don't have ketchup. he asked for ranch dressing next, i told him i might have some. i open the fridge and get him some expensive little bottle of caesar because that's the only dressing i use. this guy takes the fucking bottle and dumps most of it all over his steak and the potato AND THE PEAS.
this fucking guy buys those 6lb tubs of potato salad that is just the most bland mixture of potatoes with mustard and mayo. he takes his tub of potato salad to the couch along with a garlic salt shaker which he uses on every heaping spoon load he puts in his mouth.

Your tastes are too refined, old people just like simpler things back when times were simple.
>>7530850
Your taste sense dulls over time, ketchup, mustard and a few other distinct flavors will make food un-bland. All those 99 herb mixes? Forget about them, tastes like grass at that age.
I wouldn't stress over it ever again. You rank pretty low in the family totem pole as daughters boyfriend anyway. Just buy the lout some Tendies and have ketchup, ranch, S&P, and garlic salt handy.
Are you planning on marrying this girl and spreading this mans genes?
What are some of your favorite gatorade flavors?
I think I'd have to go with citrus cooler and fierce grape
Lemon lime and fruit punch. I grew up on them so they have a nostalgic element to them
>>7530447
Lemon lime. It's the only thing I can keep down when I'm sick.
orange gatorade
blue powerade
everything else is for plebs
Which machine reigns supreme?

They both have advantages. I'll be able to compare mine with my BF's after Blendtec sends me a new pitcher to replace the one that melted its gasket while making too-moist almond butter. They both trip their thermal fuses when doing very thick stuff. I've quit making peanut and almond butter since it's cheaper to just buy it from Aldi-for-people-who-don't-want-to-shop-at-Aldi.
Get yourself some hearing protection if you don't want tinnitus.
>>7530218
A guy here always complains about the Vitamix containers in these threads, so I guess it's Blendtec.
mustard or mayo?
>>7530164
Mayo.
Mustard is disgusting.
ketchup
Depends entirely on the sandwich.
Turkey? Mayo.
Ham? Mustard
Tuna? Mayo
Roast beef? Mustard
so i eat my steaks medium on average and the better the cut of meat the rarer i enjoy it. cheaper steaks i like a little more cook on. i only put that out there because what i am about to ask is sacrilege but i ask you to understand my situation and my own disgust at my question. i hate well done steak but i just got an amazing present. say what you will about omaha steaks but they are pretty tasty even if highly overpriced. my fiancees sister just gave me over 300$ in steak from omaha. probably my favorite birthday present i've gotten since i was a child. she knows i love cooking and grilling and i thought it was amazingly thoughtful and sweet. but she eats her steak well done and she is visiting in town for the weekend. so i come to you begging for an answer to a question i hate to even ask.
if i wanted to blow her mind with a well done steak. if i wanted to make the single best best well done steak this woman has eaten in her life how could i do it? i want to pay her back just a bit for gifting me several pounds of high quality steak and seafood by at least blowing her mind with a well seasoned tender delicious well done steak if thats possible.

lots of butter, consider cooking it sous vide
Maybe a dry brine? Id test it on a cheap steak first tho.
Idk OP. Worthy cause, but that's a tall order...
>>7530075
Make a compound butter to serve on top as well. Or a balsamic reduction.
I've ordered TWICE now, waited TWO hours and pizza guy STILL WONT COME WHYL;KM;LJ;L
>>7529975
You're drunk or have a bad track record with them.
>>7529975
Unlesd you value your time at more than $30/hour, ordering a pizza is not worthwhile.
>>7529975
did you request pickup anon?
cheese general
lads, im a suburban loser raised on graft singles amd the pccasional tillamook cheese. i want to expand my horizons a little and wanted to know what the recommended kinds of cheese are. for both eating alone as a snack and for cooking. i hoped /ck/ can lead me in the right direction
please respond
>>7529944
Go try Gouda or Brie.
>>7529944
Do you have a cheese shop or a supermarket with a decent cheese counter in your area? You could pick up a small piece of something random to try whenever you go grocery shopping or something.
Off the top of my head, I quite like Tomme de Savoie and Fourme d'Ambert.
/kosher/ fags report in.
General kosher products talk, when keep or break kosher. Bbq beef ribs recipes always appreciated. Heard of lactose non milk cheese coming out. Should make cheese burgers guilt free. Share thoughts. Any inquiries can be answered. Cooking a stew tonight should be good if I don't answer a question right away.
sorry op, we don't allow jews in these parts

How bout now?
fuck off kike
Why does this turn me into a walking fart cannon every time I eat it? Is it the cheese? Is it the bread? Is it the deli meat?
What in the fuck. I'm starting to worry. It smells like boiled chicken in the room, and my boyfriend's pretty much done with the 'oh that's cute sweetheart, but why'd you do that?!' phase and has moved onto just locking himself in another room.
Shout out to all the people who love the smell of their own farts.
>>7529835
It's the protein from the meat and cheese.
nitrites
>>7529835
>why does eating a bunch of roughage and processed meats make me gassy
really?
Do Americans eat hot cross buns?
>>7529801
Those are a real thing?
We sing about them, mostly
Tried em once, they were a little bland.
I just buy raisin bread. Much cheaper anyway.
dinner at Picasso Cafe in Oklahoma City
menu 1/2
This building used to be home to a joint called Galileo that i ate in drank in at least 3 times a week in my early 20's
I still get extreme nostalgia every time I go in
menu 2/2
I started a thread about this when I bought it 5 years ago. I've used about 1/5th of itso far. Here's to another 20 years of sauce.

>Antoinette Burns
>Burns
>>7529503
I've got a bottle of that.
Had it about a year and used around 1/3 of it.
Forgot I had it actually. Time to start using it.
Still pissed off I lost the skull keychain that comes with it.
I like hotter than normal sauces, but still don't understand buying ghost pepper and extract sauces unless you're planning on adding a couple drops to a large batch of something. For everyday use, I'd much rather have a habanero type sauce that adds some heat AND good flavor, without drowning out your dish's flavor with pure spice. I've had shit like Dave's Insanity sauce on stuff and you can't taste any of the food, just burn
Do you think smoking tobacco impairs your cooking? If tobacco messes with your sense of smell, should a serious chef or an amateur home cook smoke?
>>7529327
It impairs your health and I think that's reason enough to not do it.
>>7529329
I'd trust a chef that snorted coke versus a regularly smoking one on the grounds that he could at least taste his food properly.
>>7529329
That's why I do it though.
Join me this Friday night, /ck/?
>>7529299
jesus christ no. I have no desire to watch outdated scifi while consuming the laziest looking wrap ever.
seriously though try again.
>>7529306
How is it outdated? What part of Star Trek TNG has come to pass in reality?
>>7529299
That blanket looks like it needs to be thoroughly washed, disinfected and stitched-up ten years ago.
