Is this shit going to kill me?
What is the least cancer-inducing variant?
>>7561256
It's just dried cooked noodles. Probably 100% flour. Just eat it. If you're concerned about healthy eating, skip the flavor packet (just salt in there anyway) and crack an egg over your pot.
>>7561256
The salt packet is what will kill you
>>7561263
>Probably 100% flour
the noodles are deep fried, champ.
Is this enough to make spaghetti sauce?
>>7561218
no mushrooms, carrots or grounded meat?
>>7561218
>canned tomatoes
yeah just throw that shit in the trash and go back to the store man
Hi ck!
I'm 22 and have been a picky eater all of my life. Recently I've begun eating more foods and realize there's an entire world of food that I would love that I haven't even tried yet.
What foods would you recommend to a recovering picky eater?
Man child you are never leaving your mothers basement.
>>7560831
I'm at work right now taking a shit.
I just wanna know some good foods man.
>>7560830
We gotta know what you eat and don't eat.
Congratulations though, you're on the right way.
the great debate
Nacho by far

Quick question:
What is the name of this ice cream bar so I can look up this cake recipe and quiet down my inner fat kid
Wasn't it strawberry shortcake?
>>7559504
Omg the answer was so simple it eluded me. Thank you, from the pit of my stomach
>>7559504
Yup.
I know gluten allergies are a thing, but people keep telling me that gluten free is healthier for people. Are they memeing???
they are probably memeing, if you are not intolerant it is probably fine to eat
having said that you should avoid processed bread products as much as possible, stick to traditional sourdough
Anyone who eats gluten free that doesn't have Celiac's or an intolerance is memeing. If they just say it's for health reasons they're stupid.
>>7559187
A meme
But i would still reccomend sticking to sourdough bread.
Moules-frites.
What think?
Mussels are delicious, fries are delicious
I don't see them complimenting each other though
i think all seafood should be served with fries.
it contrasts with the moist and slimy fish.
Seafood tends to be served with french fries very commonly so why not?
Hey /ck/.
I have to make a 24 page magazine for Editorial Class. I chose to make it about cooking.
So I thought you guys might like to contribute to it and when its finished I can post the PDF for iPad and print.
Currently I have it set up as follows:
1 - Cover
2 and 3 - Double Page Ad
4 - Letter from the editor (Just gonna steal some text)
5 - Index part 1
6 - Index part 2
7 - ad
8 and 9 . Recepie with additional 1 column about whatever
10 and 11 Chef Spotlight/ interview
12 ad
13 and 14 Restaurant Spotlight
15 Kids Cook
16 tru 19 Special feature, 3 recepies.
20 Ad
21 and 22 Cocktail recepies.
23 ad
24 and back cover ad.
So yeah, the sections are kinda malleable and I can pretty much ad anything I want.
Also I don't live in the US yet I'm doing the magazine in English. I can pretty much put anything I want in the text.
/ck/ the magazine? neat-o
>>7560978
Yeah, but I wanted to have some /ck/ inspired stuff rather than just a generic cooking magazine.
Only thing I can think of is memes and vertical recepies
>>7560996
Also, all ads can be removed. If you all so wish.
What do you think of these bean and cheese burritos?
Also how do you make bean and cheese burritos?
>>7560492
Those tortillas look fucked. Maybe they're reheated? Either way, covering them with avocado seems a good call.
>>7560492
What kinda sauce is that?
>>7560492
I usually mix up some beans, cheese, and burritos, but that's just me.
Join me for a little pasta salad, /ck/?
>>7560296
>maybe if i crumble my dick cheese on top it'll look artisan
>>7560320
Fool. That's freshly grated Pecorino Romano.
>>7560320
I don't think you know what artisan means
Care for a warm chocolate chip cookie, /ck/?
>>7560177

Ive been watching a lot of Bizarre Foods for some reason so i wanna know whats your favorite episode? If you cant pick one then two is fine.
Syria and Hong Kong always stick in my mind, especially since the ice cream place in the Syria episode is closed now. Rip.
Why is no one memeing this guy ?
This twat doesn't like horchata. Opinion immediately discarded.
Shows like these are usually interesting, learning a bit about the food culture of different places but why is the host always so damn obnoxious? A little of this guy goes a long way, he's ok about half the time but my god can he spill some spaghetti.
I want to start growing mushrooms, but I have no knowledge on the subject. I have a house with a couple spare rooms, plus a basement, but the basement is musty and I'm not sure it would be good for the mushrooms.
I am trying to find morels in my area, but have never had any luck. I'm going to try again tomorrow. But, that's just for taste - I would like to grow other strains to hopefully sell at a Farmer's Market or something. I did some research but haven't really narrowed down what method or which strain to use. Out of the five below, which are the easiest to grow, taste the best or sell the best? I am open to growing more than one, but I am curious on /ck/'s opinion because I am a shroomnoob
Black Trumpets
Oyster mushroom
King oyster mushroom
Phoenix Mushroom
Blue oyster
Bump for interest. Supposedly oysters are one of the easiest to grow. Usually I see people inoculate a sterilized substrate (grains, coffee grounds, etc.) with spores in a needle or a bit of mycelium and then once that's become myceliated they break it apart and mix it with straw put in bags and wait for that to get myceliated before fruiting. This is at least popular for oysters.
I wonder if there's an easier way though. I'd grow anything because I've never tasted a bad mushroom.
Supposedly these guys did this

psylocybe cubensis is pretty easy to grow, and sells for a decent amount if you know the kind of people who a are into this shit.

Looks good/10
Is that Kroger brand?
Fantastic news /ck/
A Vons just closed down to the plaza literally cross the street. What's opening in its place? A fucking Rance 99. This means my Asian cooking is going to go up 0 to 60 real fast. Asian cooking has never been my forte--though I have dabbled--so I'm wonder what I should look into cooking in the near future here.
What are you favorite Asian dishes?
>>7559174
are they getting one of those french style bakeries inside?
>>7559188
From my understanding they're getting something similar. It's either a little sit down food shop, or one of those bakeries.
>>7559174
Get some of the teas.
