It's a good way to meat chicks for sex while they stay at your house.

Hi, I'm new to this board though I plan to lurk more too. I wanted to ask some questions on being a vegetarian.
I plan to go vegetarian, not sure how long but for quite a while. This is mainly because I want to eat healthier and improve my health as well as discipline and to try to keep to a goal. I went once for like a month some years ago but it failed miserably because I didn't do my research beforehand whilst I was trying it and then eventually gave in towards the end. Are there many downsides to being a vegetarian, anyone have any advice or opinions on this?
vegans are retarded
>>7562333
this basically
welcome to /ck/, OP
Why do people think going vegetarian equals eating healthy?
>keeping shit in front of an oven door
Why are people so stupid
What does your household do that sucks?
>>7561778
Nothing much desu
We keep potatoes next to a microwave, I think this why they go bad a bit quicker than you'd expect
>>7561778
If I'm not currently using the appliance, then why wouldn't I utilize that counter space?
>>7561784
That's funny, I was at a friend's house the other day and he keeps potatoes IN THE microwave
I wish I used the microwave so little that I could use it as a a shelf but it has its 1 million and 1 uses
What's the weirdest thing you were ever served at a restaurant.
Pic related, our local running "sushi" restaurant had this single individual mustard package circling around the belt and no on ever picked it up (and why should they).
Every few minutes the mustard would drive by, just sitting there on its plate. Sometimes I wonder if one of the cooks just wanted to agitate the customers but was too polite to spit in the soup...
sometimes as a joke i will replace my fellow servers' sugar caddies with mustard packets
>>7561177
Wasabi at most restaurants is just horseradish and colouring anyway. Mustard wouldn't be a million miles away.
>>7561311
It's pretty different, lad
Scientifically speaking, if you just blend your meal rather than waste your time chewing etc does the food actually lose any of its nutrition etc?
I blended 12 chicken mcnuggets recently and just "drank it" (like a smoothie so it's not like pure liquid) and it was such a superior experience to eating each one and chewing and so on.
> just "drank it"
seems suboptimal, have you considered IV infusion?
Blending raises the GI, but it's not going to affect micronutrients (you can't blend chemical elements)
>>7560712
Not really since I took the blender jug thing into the car with me and just ate / drank while on my way to work.
What does horse meat taste like?
I'm really curious but can't find any horse meat where I live in the US
Illegal in the US, you have to go to Canada for horse meat.
maybe you can import some from germany

According to an Argentinian (or possibly Chilean, I don't remember) guy I knew, it tastes like beef, but slightly sweeter.
Do you like chili con queso /ck/? I think its amazing but I can never make it as good at home as most restaurants do. I think its because I use some Velveeta and I think the mexicans have supplies of some secret delicious melting cheese that you can't just buy at the grocery store. Do you guys have any tips or amazing chili con queso recipes?
Its literally just American cheese, go to a supermarket deli, those little individually wrapped ones don't work. Heat 1 cup of milk per pound of cheese to just under boiling and slowly stir in said amount of cheese. Mix in pico or salsa or whatever you feel like. Don't use velveeta.
>>7559535
How about this? I've used it before for things like mac and cheese and grilled cheese and noticed it was much better than velveeta, its just sort of expensive. I just wonder what the mexican restaurants are using, they must be getting American cheese from a big food supplier and it tastes better than velveeta.
>>7559648
That'll work. I used used to use those big blocks at work until my supplier started offering a shredded variety that melts quicker. Again, you can just buy it by the pound at any deli counter without having to buy the whole block.
I have a job interview at a shitty mulitmillion dollar international coffee chain.
Anything I should know about being a Starfucks barista?

Are you man enough for this meal?

>not Beanee Weenee
better than an MRE
why are americans so disgusting
Deny it all you want, but everyone has weird food eccentricities or idiosyncrasies or whatever you want to call them.
I cook for friends or guests a lot and was recently caught for #1 (see below), so I've been thinking about what others do when no one is looking.
It's anonymous, so feel free to be honest! Here are mine:
>when preparing garlic, I bite the "root" end off to make peeling easier. I do this when cooking for guests and have to do it surreptitiously when they aren't looking lol
>My hands get dry in the winter so I stop washing my hands except for when I go to sleep or am about to eat. Heat kills germs, so I don't wash my hands after using the bathroom (#1 or #2) before food prep. I just turn on the tap and let it run for 20 seconds in case people are listening.
3. I can't remember the last time I washed a vegetable.
4. Not really food related, but I dip my toilet paper in the toilet water to clean my butthole more effectively. I used to flush first, but I got nervous about people hearing me flush twice at work so I just use the "used water". Not a big deal really, I don't eat off my ass or anything.

Just hold the bulb in your palm, top inwards, and smash the root on the counter. The garlic will all pop off.
You're probably gonna get sick, but I feel you.
You should wash them, because they've either been handled by at least one hundred grubby paws, or they're covered in dirt from your garden.
You're wiping per into your butt. Wouldn't recommend it, but I'm not a doctor.
I always hold chef's knives by the spine, and more than once my thumb has slid down to the blade. I always wash (with dish soap and water) and reseason my cast iron after use, and hold that this is proper maintenance.

You're literally wiping viruses into your rectum.
Pop the top off the cistern and use clean water next time.
I bought a 1/2 baggie of "yogurt" covered raisins from a local health food store on super duper discount because they were expired. The sell by date sticker says October 2015, but they were purchased as a bulk item in a baggie so I don't know when the actual expiration date of the batch was.
Now that I brought them home I'm feeling more timid. Are these safe to eat? How would I know if they've gone bad (hopefully a noticeable smell)?
You eat it and wait to see if you'll have the shits
>>7561962
There's enough wax on them. Should be safe baby doll.
Smell them. When in doubt, throw it out. I would eat them, myself
lunch
>>7561614
I eat cloves of garlic between slices of cheddar cheese.
I'd probably end up in the ER if I ate that much garlic. Damn
almost finish
Rate my shopping cart. The chicken and cereal were on sale and I have homemade peanut butter to go with the bread.
>>7561539
>publix meat
over priced every single time, even on sale, and it's the same shit wal-mart has.
good thing you don't have a family, or you'd be eating like a king and they'd just get vegetables
>>7561539

>vegetable fed
Is this meme? What else could they possibly feed chickens with?
I usually get my chicken breasts from fresh market on tuesdays for 2.99/lb, you probably have a fresh market if you have a publix OP. I don't have a walmart near me somehow and I'd rather pay a little more to not be around fat retards.
>>7561539
>4.49/lb for chicken breast
>paying extra for thin cut chicken breast
You're a goof. And you know you can slice them yourself, right?
where am i from? a noodle recipe for dinner
sauce thickens
more things
fry the beef
How do i make good taco seasoning?
any recipes i find via google kind of taste like shit
>>7561354
The primary flavor in "taco seasoning" is cumin, so start there. Paprika, onion, salt, and pepper would be other essentials. If you want it spicy add cayenne.
>>7561354
Adobo chilies, fresh garlic, lime juice, cumin, plenty of salt.
Tacos are much more interesting when you're using something other than ground beef, too.
>>7561354
I always cum in my tacos. I knew I was doing it right :D
