I really don't mind it anymore. I love coconut. But the first few times I had it, it felt like I could chew on it for 10 minutes without it getting sufficiently chewed up to swallow. I think I actually spit it out a few times.

A Del Taco opened up down the street from my apartment and it's surprisingly good for fast food, well the only thing i've gotten from there is the potato and steak burrito.

not sure if you're joking, but del taco is sort of the fast food take on california-mexican food. like OP said, their california burritos and other fry-filled spinoffs are p good. the chicken soft tacos aren't bad for $1. i'll be honest never had anything else from there.

Anyone that has ever been to Alamo drafthouse cinema knows they often come up with movie themed menus.
The current one they have now is based off of the jungle book with items such as the “Bare Necessities Ants on a Log,” stacked dried cherries and honey on top of celery filled with house-made peanut cashew butter. Served with vanilla custard, mango and agave syrup. Also on the menu, King Louie’s Banana Bread French Toast, Mowgli’s Mango Lassi Milkshake, and the Red Flower Fruit Pizza, featuring a bounty of raspberries, strawberries, mango, and toasted coconut on a tangy cream cheese base.

You know, I'm all in favor of practicing some discipline with your diet, but this is kinda pathetic. No, it does not taste like mashed potatoes. No, it does not taste like rice. Cauliflower is not some amazing warping food. It's always going to taste like cauliflower. Same with zucchini noodles. That's not pasta.

There's no shortage of tasty foods that you can have on a low carb diet. Steak, chicken, sausage patties, bacon, butternut squash, carrots, onions, spinach... good stuff. Why do you need these cheap imitations of food that you can't have? If you really want some fried rice, just wait until your designated cheat day and then either make or go get yourself some real fried rice.

Water safety/quality does not vary much in the US, but water deliciousness does vary widely by city in the US. It is never utterly unsafe, unless you have a paranoia about flouride.

If you have some sensitive taste issues, you probably don't love well water in your locale and will have some kind of extra filtration installed in your house or least a water softener for hardness affecting laundry/showers/hair, but it'll likely test as "safe" just mineral-rich, that is, if you don't live in some horrible known area with issues like maybe near a mine.

Recently acquired a new smoker and am looking for a good sauce recipe, I will not sure what it's called but a bbq joint I have been to before has a very thin vinegar based sauce it has pepper flakes and maybe chili powder and some Worcestershire maybe....does anyone have a recipe for something like this. also it's mild In taste and is the consistency or water....thanks

Why do people always think of "Fish and Chips" when British Cuisine got mentioned?

Fish and Chips is literally just deep fried, tasteless cod, soaked in oil. Served with potatoes, deep fried, soaked in oil.

There's so much better stuff on offer from the British Isles (like Steak and Kidney Suet Pudding, for example, or indeed any of the glorious British pies). And yet nobody cares about them and everybody would say "Lol your country's only good for deep frying fish! British cuisine is therefore shit!"

It's like if people say the Italians are only good for Spaghetti Bolognese, or the French are only good for Snails.

What's the most you've eaten in a day /ck/?

Mien was a reward super cheat day when I reached my goal weight.

>whole container of haagen daz vanilla
>12 oz steak with large loaded baked potato+green beans
>Probably 1.5 liters of cola

If I had to guess, I ate about 7000 calories that day.
