I might be going to Las Vegas over the summer for vacation, and I was wondering if the Heart Attack Grill is worth visiting.
It's definitely worth experiencing for the sheer entertainment, fun and spectacle. Overall, the burgers are pretty plain to be honest....but it's a fucking blast; especially when you see that fat fucks weigh in

If you're going just for the food, you're better off going somewhere else
if you're going just for fun to see whats all the hubbub is all about, its a fun diversion for a few hours
What is on your typical grocery shopping list?
Do you go once a week?
Only go when you need something?
Go everyday to get something "fresh"?
>>7649784
There's already a thread, faggot.
Now, go jump off a high building.
I go once a week.
I only buy potatoes, eggs, milk, rice and mince beef.
>>7649784
I just go whenever I want something specific I guess. Usually go with a meal or recipe in mind and just get what I need for that.
What is the worst candy you've eaten?
Any of the hard powder candies like those love hearts.
Neko wafers.

I remember my brother got a durian hard candy in his Halloween stash. He was about to pop the whole thing in his mouth but I stopped him. I tried a little piece and it was one of the worst things I've ever tasted. Whoever handed that out was evil. But I've also had those beanboozled jellybeans before and those were probably worse. The skunk flavored one is probably the most disgusting thing I've eaten in my life. The taste doesn't leave your mouth. But those are bad on purpose, the durian candy is just gross
Coffee thread
What are you brewing?
How?

Nothing.
I prefer instant, Jack got me on to a new Expresso blend after I chatted to him on Youtube about sauces and marinades.
Finishing up the last of my Burundi Kinyovu from Blueprint today. Back to my own roasting after this, have a few different greens on hand, not sure what I'll go to next yet.
Made as espresso in my Arrarex Caravel, ground with Bunnzilla. Temperature 194, preinfusion 10sec then pull.
It's been a good shot, but I'd put it below the Kenya I was pulling before in personal preference.
Been freezing my beans in single portions and grinding frozen too in light of Pergers recent study, I've had good results. Not sure how different though.
Bong here. Just made a few bottles of cold press from Origin's El Salvador. Phenomenal, best batch I've made yet. So smooth, complex flavours. Had some Icelandic espresso from the local shop this morning, pretty average.
The only cocktails I have ever had are martinis. What are some other good male cocktails?
Gibsons.
old fashioned
negroni
Dark 'n' Stormy
White Russian

You certainly are a culinary ninja, anon!
i used 500 grams of mixed ground meat (pig and cow) and made two meatpieces out of it. both should have approximately 250 grams, and have been seasoned with salt and pepper only.
What's the worst kitchen injury story you have /ck/?
I learned the hard way how dangerous cutting things like pic related when I was chopping potatoes for a catering event. As you might imagine my (serrated edge) knife slipped off the potato and cut the entire pad of my left index finger off. It was extremely painful because the dull knife actually pinched the finger until the pressure caused it to bluntly cut through the skin. This was years ago and I've since learned more proper knife skills, but I won't forget that shit any time soon.

by far the worst ive seen was a few years back a guy opened the steamer in a hurry and reached in to grab some shit real fast before letting the steam out
pretty nasty burn all the way down his arm of like 2nd degree burn boiled skin...
but thats just the start
so the kid is a dirty fucking stoner and doesn't take care of his injury and the shit gets infected and he misses like 2 months of work
I was peeling potatoes with a potato peeler and peeled a huge chunk of thumb skin off

A guy i worked with splashed really hot oil on his hand, fucked him up for like a month. The fucker learned how to roll joints with one hand.
Name five foodstuffs that are essential in your country (not specific national dishes, just something that is deeply engrained in your country's food culture).

What's your excuse for not living in California, cu/ck/s?
pic related master race
I do for work. Recommend me things in the Camp Pendleton area faggot.
I live in Norcal a little bit far off to go to In N Out whenever I want. So when I get to go to In N Out it feels like a special occasion. I got some good ass burger place where I live but the prices are ridiculous. It's nothing double the price of In N Out.

I dislike their gun laws and I don't think I'd like earthquakes.
Post your culinary pro-tips
It's easier to cut bell pepper slices with the skin facing down

Buy a decent knife, lean how to take care of it, and issues like this will become irrelevant.
adding ketchup to a well done kobe beef steak provides and sweet and tangy kick that will keep you coming back for more!
i'm frustrated.
it's not a "he doesn't eat his vegetables"-thing.
it's a "he doesn't enjoy eating at all"-thing. he never was interested in food. it took him being one and a half year old to swallow his first bite of pureed food. i tried all i can think off. i started with home made vegetable purees (carrots, pumpkin and potatoes mostly). when he refused to eat that month after month, i finally caved in and tried to give him mashed bananas and apple sauce. he didn't eat that either. then i tried to incorporate fingerfood. he would just play with it but never taste it. no matter what it was.
i, myself eat a big variety of food. i made it a point to make sure to sit down and eat at the table together to be a good role model.
i made sure that he doesn't get too much nutrition from his bottle so he would atually have some motivation to TRY solid food. i could only move him to eat after i gave him some sausage for the first time.
he's now 5 and every meal is a struggle. he's never hungry, altough he's way too light for his age. i don't give him any snacks inbetween. he gets breakfast, lunch and dinner. i make healthy and kids friendly meals. but he never eats. he is extremely picky and at the end of every meal i have to practically force him to eat his mandatory 3 bites. he wants ketchup and mayo with everything.
i'm at my witts end. i have used so, SO much energy and nerves on his eating habits. i'm done. i'm contemplating to just call it a day and feed him hotdogs and ice cream all day. i can't enjoy ONE SINGLE meal in peace. it is driving me nuts. it starts with me cooking and him already explaining that "he won't eat THAT". then he will not come to the table when i call. at this point, my nerves are already wearing thin. and we haven't even sat down to eat...
holy crap, i just want a kid that is thankfull for getting delicious food every day. i don't know where i failed so colossaly...
has anyone here been such a bratty eater and turned out fine as an adult?
nice blogpost m8
Be more assertive, a child not listening to a parent is a sign of them thinking they can get away with it
If you take away his iPod or some shit until he eats his veggies they'll be gone right quick
Just let him eat whenever he wants, but not whatever he wants.
As a child, I was forced to nap. Yeah, weird as fuck. I just hated it for years and years and just pretend to sleep. I will never understand how the entire family (even cousins) was this insane. My point is, if he's hungry, he'll eat.
Hey /ck/. What are some "must have" spices and seasonings?
Salt and garlic
What is salt and pepper for 200, Alex?
Just the stuff you see popping up again and again in recipes. Mostly garlic, onion, thyme, oregano, basil, parsley, cinnamon, paprika, chili/pepper flakes
Culinary confessions thread
You fucking start the thread you fucking start the conversation retard
I use msg in most of my cooking. My family loves it and my mother still thinks she is allergic. They don't know I use it to marinade and cook with.

You okay there, m8?
Do you like Indian food?
Why?

no

>do you like Indian food?
A little, not as much as I used to.
>why?
Years ago I lived in KSA supervising contractors mostly from India. The smell of that food oozed from their bones. To this day I can't smell Indian food without being reminded of the BO from those guys.
>>7639282
Yes. Because it's genius.
>great local restaurant you've been visiting for years closes down

Owner told me it was the last straw, but I'm still mad at that fucking lawyer. Apparently he's done that to a few businesses.
The worst is the yelp generation. I had this little hole in the wall I used to go to, it wasn't anything super fancy but they had good quality korean food at reasonable prices, but these fucking hipster foodie fucks started showing up and threatening the owner with bad reviews unless he fixed their food a specific way (which is something you don't do with korean food, you eat it as it's served, it's just a thing, unless there's special circumstances), and then they did, so less people started showing up. It makes no sense, people that'd been going for years just slowly stopped showing up every day, then every couple, then every week, then just not at all, then they had to shut down a few months later. I still fucking talk to the owner and he lost so much money on that restaurant and only kept it open because he loved serving the community. Fuck, it makes my god damned blood boil. There needs to be a fucking verification and $500 price for every fucking "review" someone leaves.
>>7650001
I live in a big enough city where there's a local food board that's really active and I can actually find gems instead of relying on yelp but yeah I'd say that a yelp 4/5 is actually a 2/10 and a yelp 3/5 is actually at least a 7/10
