What's the best food from here?

uh, I herd their dumplings are good, I'm usually too afraid to go there because it's redneck central and I have long hair.
Cracker barrel is my favorite chain restaurant. And the only chain restaurant like. They're just so convenient when you've been driving for 9+ hours and you want something simply and hot in your tummy.
I always get biscuits and gravy with two scrambled eggs. If I don't want to eat that much, I'll do two scrambled eggs with cheese grits. Basically their breakfast menu is pretty great and for dinner I only really loved the chicken pot pie, but they made it a Wednesday-only special many years ago.
Chicken fried steak is good. Fried catfish (if y'all got it) is great. Aforementioned chicken pot pie is good.
To be honest it's a really simple menu that accommodates most tastes, even picky eaters.
It's a rainy day. What are you drinking by the window?
Lapsang souchong, bro

Not that weak shit you faggot.....
Boil two breakfast tea bags into a pot. Slowly add and whip in milk. Add sugar.
Royal Milk Tea
A Polish coworker gave me the ingredients for this recently. His mom portioned them out - a mixture of egg, kielbasa, ham, bacon, and farmer cheese, some kind of sour rye broth, fresh horseradish to grate, and some light rye bread to dip in it.
It was delicious and I'd never had anything like it before. It also seems like, if you were Polish, you'd make it at home instead of going to a restaurant.
What are some foods like this that you've had?
>>7650279
A Quarter Pounder with cheese, hot, fresh fries and an ice cold Coca Cola.
>>7650286
Except you would go to a McDonald's for this, you see, so you either didn't understand my post or you are shitposting.

>some kind of sour rye broth
????
How is this made OP?
Most Polish Co-workers of mine tend to eat a potato/cabbage/bacon mix with the odd bite of a gherkin on the side.

Would you buy?
No.
But I do spiral-score hot dogs like that when I want to pickle them.

This is why good threads get pushed off.
American IP's should be banned on a cooking board.
What do you think of ribs?
>>7650186
I think they're over four years old.
Stop shit-posting, faggot.

Why not post some OC rather than random images from Google?
What does /ck/ do for lunch when at work/school?
I get the £3 lunch from my local supermarket because I'm lazy.
>Walk into Sainsburys
>Saunter past the sandwiches and the mouth-breathing, meal-deal eating plebs, chortling to myself
>Pick up a nice soup for £1.45
>Grab a bread roll from the bakery and some deli meats for ~£1.50
>Head back to the office to eat

Eating bread and watery soup like a medieval peasant. Top kek.
Ever have goulash? Real goulash?
My favorite is the Hungarian variety. Well, they have many varieties. This one is pork, kraut, and dumplings, with some veggies, all topped with sour cream. Wonderful comfort food.
>>7650167
Real gulyás is a soup. What goes for goulash over here is called pörkölt in hungary.
>>7650167
Britchap here:
Goulash seems to me to be a basic stew but with addition of Paprika, correct me if I am wrong?
I have a tin of Venison Goulash, I bought from Lidl, haven't tried it yet. I would be interested to hear some viewpoints from REAL Eastern Euros (as opposed to Americans, who think they have a heritage).
>>7650187
After reading the Wikipedia article, it seems like there are a lot of different ways to make goulash; families have their own unique recipes that may or may not adhere to a dictionary definition. Goulash can certainly be a thicker stew, or a pile of food with a lot of broth that still isn't an actual soup.

The pepperonis are hidden beneath the cheese
6/10 would eat drunk as fuck.
looks rough
might just be a bad photo, but until i'm proven otherwise it's 4/10
You should've used a higher hydration dough, and maybe greased it a little more before baking. It looks dryer than the sahara.
Reminder
If you cook your burgers anywhere past rare, you're a fucking shit cook who doesn't understand how to make even the simplest of items
You'll never be able to appreciate the taste of real beef.

That burger is raw as fuck
Nice bait faggot
>>7649985
is there more to it than just boiled sugar? because i don't get the meme.
it gets its flavor from maillarded milk proteins more than actual caramelization so it has a different taste than just your normal caramel.
>>7649945
It's boiled condensed milk. Not sugar.
Think of it like a jam made from milk. You're confusing it with straight up caramel, or the creme de la meme that is salted caramel.

So is he a just meme or actually a good chef?
Both.
he's a competent but uninteresting chef and a very good businessman

What makes a chef interesting? Is his food just bland?
Is boiling sausages a legitimate way to cook them?
I tried boiling some brats but they tasted even oilier than when I pan fried them. What gives?
I've heard it's a good way to cook thick sausages, they don't burn on the outside before the inside is cooked.
Still need to brown them in a pan a bit before you serve them though.
Frankfurts and things like that are cooked by boiling.
I've never heard of boiling sausages though.
Do you guys eat outside of your kitchen / dining area?
I eat in my bed.
It's great! I get to stuff my face while laying down!
i only eat at my desk which is in my room. My kitchen is downstairs. I just like to watch netflix or youtube while eating
>>7649657
I eat 3/4 of my meals next to my computer
