I want to ask overweight people questions. I am an underweight person, I hate it.
I want to know how do you actually do it to eat more food than you consume energy in a day? How long does eating take you and how do you manage it in your day, when do you find time, what do you sacrifice doing for going to eat? How do you not get tired/bored of eating? Is it ingrained at home as a child or can I become like you on my own?
What do you find hard/difficult to do about eating?
To be underweight is simple here are the tips : eat like a bird, don't take 3 or 4 meals a day take only two, or one plus snacks on the side. Eat food that don't make You gain weight (depends on people, easy to identify). Keep it like that as an habit.

Soda with every meal and between meals. Adds plenty of calories without filling you up at all.

I binge eat in bed at night, put on some shit video to watch and fall asleep in a pile of food containers. During the day, I just drink caffeinated drinks, whatever it takes to get through.

>drink milk
>grow taller
>fall over and break shit because height
this is bad science
everyone should just drink almond milk. it doesn't fuck your stomach, it's not from a tortured animal, and it is cheaper.
>>7666909
>broken bones are correlated with falling
>falling is correlated with clumsiness
>clumsiness is correlated with height
>height is correlated with diet during youth
>diet during youth causes broken bones
thanks, i'll starve my children to death so they don't suffer broken bones
What does /ck/ bring to work/school/whatever for lunch? Does anyone have good recipes/suggestions for work lunches?

I thought fat people liked variety in their diets.
Take the cooking book that is closest to you in your house right now, open to a random page with closed eyes, and take a picture of the recipe. Alternatively write down the recipe, if it's from foreigner-land

Do you like Campari?
What are some other alcoholic drinks most of the people will find extremely unpleasant and hard to drink?
Campari is delicious.
Uhh...
Malort comes to mind as does anything in the wormwood and anise families like ouzo, raki, pastis, and absinthe.
This tastes like self loathing.
Campari has nothing on Malort. Some people find Fernet unpleasant, but I love it.
been working here for one week and already i have questions for the public
1. Why do half the people who come in act like they've never been in a restaurant in their life and need e v e r y t h i n g explained
2. Why do so many people order a burger with absolutely no toppings? Half the reason our prices are higher than most places is so you don't have to pay extra for WHATEVER YOU WANT ON IT
3. Who. The. FUCK. Pays $5 for a hot dog. ESPECIALLY one where they request NOTHING on it. We have fucking bacon, cheese, tomatos, hot sauce, what the fuck man.
>>7658554
are there insider tricks? Like any meal combos you cant recommend
>Why do first time customers not understand the concept of the store and memorize topping combinations?
>>7658559
No, that's an in-n-out thing
>>7658562
More like why don't first time customers read the menu for 5 seconds before asking something that is blatantly spelled out
The concept of ordering a burger with toppings is not a new or complicated one to anyone, as much as you were hoping that a dismissive tone would prove me wrong
What country has genuinely bad cuisine? I always hear how French, Mexican, Italian, whatever cuisine is great but I want to know what is the one place where food truly sucks.

Hey /ck/,
Been thinking of getting a new chef's knife. My first instinct is to go with Wusthof. What other options should I consider?
Tojiro and an edgepro
>>7645123
Tojiro and Victorinox.
Tojiro DP if you prefer western handles
Tojiro regular if you prefer japanese
Lower price, better quality.
Global used to be a great starter brand, might be overpriced now.
Misono UX-10, or the swedish steel variant are excellent
Sabatier makes great knives, the vintage carbon steel ones on Ebay are great deals.
Victorinox makes solid cheap knives.
CCK if you fancy a chinese cleaver. Everyone who's used mine has been intimidated at first, but within seconds loved it for it's lightweight, extremely sharp edge, comfy feel, and have been surprised by it's low-price(generally under 100$).
For the above, the price is underselling their quality. Definitely perform above their pricepoint.
Avoid Henckels, Wusthof, Kramer-Zwilling, Shun. Price is not reflective of quality, generally cost too much. Otherwise they're perfectly fine.
With the Kramer-Zwilling, the finishing is very poor for such an expensive knife(300++). The edge is ok, it looks "cool". The steel might be worth it. But generally the joining on the handles has gaps, a lot of weight in the handle, poor balance. I would avoid.
Just reminding you guys about the Chinese girl who went to his restaurant to complain about how the fish was not cooked.

is sushi even supposed to be cooked?

Only for certain things. It's mostly all raw.
I'm buying two bottles of Scotch tomorrow; one I know is Bunnahabhain 12. However I want another Islay whisky, and one which is more heavily peated, for the sake of variety.
I've already tried Ardbeg 10 and liked it, so I'm going to try something new. What should I go for? Recommendations I've heard so far are Bowmore, Laphroaig, and Springbank, within the same price range. (Lagavulin 16 is a bit too pricey.)
>>7651575
ever think about trying a smooth bourbon like basil hayden? Can be just as good as scotch, and its nice to change it up once in awhile.
>Laphroaig
careful with this one it is smokey as FUCKKKK. maybe that is your thing but it definitely isn't mine.
>>7651591
I drink bourbon too, but I have enough of that in the house right now. :) I'm close to finishing a bottle of Knob Creek (pretty good, but maybe too dry from the oak), and in my liquor cabinet I've got some George Dickel No.12 and some Old Grand Dad 114.

Caol Ila is pretty decent.
This is literally every picky eater.
Except most people will take it one step further. If you act like an asshole and gag every time you don't eat comfort food, the Pavlovian Response and your ruined digestive tract will eventually make you physically sick whenever you have to eat something that isn't pop-tarts or pizza rolls. If you do that to yourself, you deserve zero sympathy or accommodation.
Went with a group to a Cambodian restaurant once. One friend in particular was the pickiest fucking eater alive. Most everything on the menu is just noodles and chicken, pork, beef, or seafood in various combinations with various sauces. I doubt they had anything like prahok (which I'm not even sure is legal to sell where I live) or insects or anything. We gave him advice on what to order, basic stuff like kuy tiev or mee katang, and steered him away from anything he would find weird like kroeung or samlaw. He eventually told us to fuck off, asked for chicken nuggets (which was on the children's menu) and loudly declared that he hates "Oriental food."
WHY THE FUCK DID YOU AGREE TO GO TO A CAMBODIAN RESTAURANT, ASSHOLE.
As far as I'm concerned, picky eaters should bend over backwards to accommodate their friends' social lives, if they want to be involved, and not the other way around.
picky eater genocide when?
There have been plenty of foods that I didn't like in the past, but instead of being a bitch about it, I just kept eating the shit until I liked it. Now I regularly enjoy:
>artichokes
>blue cheese
>coconut
>most salad dressings
>IPA-style beers
>all forms of tea
>black coffee
At what age did you grow out of soda?
16
I kept falling asleep in my afternoon classes in highschool. My dad suggested I stop drinking soda. I kept falling asleep but only because high school classes were boring. Felt a lot better when I didn't drink soda so I never went back.
