Sure sometimes preparation is bad, and eating something drowning in dry onions can be too much. But refusing to eat it because you didn't like it as a kid? fuck outta my face
Also, sativa. Smoking sativa proves that you can be a functioning human being while high. Paranoid fags need not apply.

You're kinda shoe-horning weed into that argument OP. I've got nothing against weed, but it's not for everybody.
>>9299266
its not for everyone, but its specifically for people that smoke. I shoehorned that in, but idk how else to bring it up.
But onions are fucking great.
I had a cream sauce with this shit in it before and it was kind of sweet and salty, but when I try to make it myself it comes out bitter and a disgusting green color. what am I doing wrong?

Less cheese more jizz.

fried/grilled halloumi is a revelation
Every thread deserves a reply.
It squeaks when you eat it. It's so weird but yes delicious.
Had this fir the first time ever in Greece and I ate it every chance I could while I was there.
If you take a finished bowl of kalamata olives and wipe the grilled halloumi in the oil it's the goat snack.
could you train chefs to have a "feederism" fetish subliminally in a ethical fashion to increase their involvement with their career?
will you take responsibility for complications from obesity?

Try this instead senpai. Tastes good, almost exactly like what it says on the label. It's basically a 0 calorie soda that doesn't suck. Comes in cans and 1 liter bottles. There's also an ICE version that has vitamins and shit and is colored, and an unsweetened version with no Aspartine. And since it's store brand it's cheap

Aren't they supposed to be bringing back Clearly Canadian? I used to love that stuff when I was younger.
Why aren't you eating Tofu Ramen diet.
It's like $2 for a pound of tofu and ramen packet.
Add in a cheap veg if you're feel like it.
If I was trying to eat really cheap, I'd probably live mostly off potatoes and eggs

Let's talk about bread.
Today I baked a couple loaves of struan:
Soaker
3 tablespoons polenta
3 tablespoons rolled oats
2 tablespoons wheat bran
1/4 cup water
Dough
3 cups unbleached bread flour
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon instant yeast
3 tablespoons cooked brown rice
1 1/2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup water
What about you, /ck/? Do you bake bread? Have you ever baked bread? Do you want to know more about the process and/or science of bread baking?
~~GLUTEN ZONE~~
oldfag back revisiting /ck/ for an evening.
used to make something called "Jane Dough"
people got a big kick out of it back in the day but I swear it was the best sourdough starter ever in history or should I say "Herstory"
>>9299079
Well, what was it?
>>9299059
I bake bread but I'm super new.
500g bakers flour
300g water
5g salt
5g sugar
7g yeast
5g amylase
dash of oil
I've made it about 10 times now. Sometimes I add grains or nuts ontop or stir it into the dough. I could take some sour dough starter from work but I don't really want to care for a mother.
I have problems rolling large loafs. 90g rolls turn out nice but I can't get a good loaf roll, they are always kinda wierd shaped when they're big.
Does anyone know what this is? I found it in my pantry and I don't read Slavic moon runes.
>>9298966
that's greek
>>9298966
Looks like there is English also, what's the label say?
The top of the can just repeats the English, and doesn't say what it is.

Doctors tell you to cut down on sugar and saturated fat if you've got bad cholesterol, but is that entirely true? Obviously sugar needs to be cut out entirely considering it has 0 (ZERO) nutritional value, but I'm less certain about the fat. I've read on /sci/ that US scientists have been paid off by the sugar industry to overstate the danger of saturated fat and understate the danger of simple carbs. So does that mean it doesn't really matter that much if you eat a lot of, say, cheese and red meat, as long as you're not eating sugar? Or is saturated fat still that dangerous?

How do you feel about 9° bevel angle (vs the usual 15~20°) on Miyabi knives?
Is it actually useful in daily chopping or is it just a "meme?"
I hear they're pretty good for cutting garlic so thin that you can liquefy it at low temperature.
>>9318117
That would be actually impressive if he was push cutting only, instead of using a slicing action
For such a thin bevel, unless you only ever cut tomatoes/fish/jello/etc have fun with tons of microchipping and folding edges
>>9318128
Sounds like a good system
