Alcohol thread
Alright boys, i'm starting to get weirded out by myself.
Whenever I blackout drunk I do some really weird shit. Almost every time I go knock/bang on my parents bedroom door , I have no idea why. They tell me in the morning and I have no recollection of it , and have no idea why I would do that. They say I usually just knock on it but last night after knocking the night before, starting violently banging on it. WTF?
Also I checked my internet history, and even though I passed out around 1am, between 3-5am I youtubed some seriously hardcore black death metal shit that I normally would never listen to. the album names are frightening, its even more frightening that i dont remember any of this and cant understand why i did any of this shit
anyone else do weird shit when they black out?

>>7675843

Who's the better cook, you or your gf/bf?
In our case it's me, at least in everything besides baking. She has zero confidence cooking any sort of meat protein and her flavor combos are limited. My knife/prep work is better/faster too
Me obviously, because forever alone.
Girlfriends don't exist.
It's just some bullshit made up by the media to make things more profitable.

Is Trader Joe's worth shopping at? I feel like the produce and meat sections are a joke and a lot of the stuff people get there is frozen/microwaveable stuff of questionable quality. Anytime I go there, I end up having to go to another grocery store too because they don't have everything that I need.
>>7679972
Yes. Produce, meat, dairy, cheap wine.. everything an adult would need.
I think it's better for booze and snacks than full-on grocery shopping.
>Is Trader Joe's worth shopping at?
Not if your town already has an ethnic grocery store or two that have cheaper meat and produce.
Trader Joe's is for flyovers that don't have them.
Here's the current line to get into my favorite BBQ place.
How long would you wait in line for a restaurant? How long have you waited in the past?
>>7679262
Did the restaurant provide the chairs or did people bring them?
>>7679279
It's a hipster restaurant the owner has everyone bring they're on tables and chairs if you don't bring a table you sit on the floor. It's pretty cool
>>7679262
Why don't they just make a reservation before they go?
P-please drink our government-subsidized milk guys. I-it's good for you, I swear
>angry about milk
>doesn't have pure white skin and can't process dairy
pick two
>>7676988
No one can process dairy efficiently
>>7677018
I process it more efficiently than half the crap the average first world citizen eats.
What meals do you cook together with your partner?
Is it an enjoyable experience or is it stressful for you?
Do you always have set roles (i.e one always handles the chopping etc)
Pic semi-related, for fun we try to recreate dishes we've had from restaurants and cafés we've been to. Most of the time we do more quick café style stuff, but the goal is to get into more complicated dishes.
We swap who does prep and who does cooking around since we're both pretty agreeable and laugh our mistakes off.
Ausposters go.
I don't have a fucking partner you stupid piece of shit. Fuck off back to facebook or reddit or twitter or instagram or anywhere else but here you faggot. We don't want shit threads like these clogging up this board. Oh wow, you have a girlfriend, how amazing! Do you want a fucking medal or something? Nobody gives a shit how many times you fuck her every day and how wonderful your relationship is. We don't give a fuck. You need to stay in your normie containment zone you dumb fucker.

I've never had this shit but it's based and haters can just go kill themselves.

Depression era trash. You can redeem bad chili to some degree by putting it on cheap hot dogs, but putting it on overcooked spaghetti with a mountain of shit quality cheese doesn't cut it.
I was all excited to try this when I first visited Cincinnati, and couldn't believe people crowed about something so awful. It's not as bad as an Italian Beef sandwich in Chicago, but it's pretty fucking close.
One thing I've noticed is that a lot of men who cook stick to savory meals, grilling, etc. They'll use the oven for lasagna, ribs, and the like, but they never make cookies, cakes, or pies. Women do all the time, though.
Why is that? Do men just have less of a sweet tooth? Are desserts seen as more "feminine"?
Do you ever bake desserts?
>>7674775
Never bake myself, waste of caloric budgeting. I think women bake because there is less room for expirimentation, while still letting them indulge with visual creativity.
>tl:dr baking is for weak minded, also known as women
>>7674775
As a bachelorfag, I cook because I have to and I make things that will get me through the day. I can't really make a dinner out of brownies or cake so I don't make them.
I bake all the time, because I'm a fat fuck who likes sugar and likes sharing sugar with other people.
Thing is baked goods are completely nutritionally void beyond their calories and are effectively poison.
Post your breakfast cu/ck/s
I'm having poached eggs on sourdough toast with smoked salmon and a pinch of Himalayan mountain salt. Also a nice big mug of black coffee.

that being said, my day normally goes better when i have a nice big breakfast. for the short time i did do a good breakfast every day for a month, i swear i felt healthier and thinner.

>as you can see by my diet of exclusively Great Value dried beans and canola oil, and my kitchen consisting of a hot plate and a lodge pan and a $6 ginsu knife I fished out of a dumpster, I'm a better cook than you spoiled trust fund babies

i'm not saying you should use a rusty railroad spike to cut your chicken but desu there's a limit on how useful a knife from space can be compare to it's cost
TL;DR: new job leaves me living in hotels half the year. I don't want to die of heart disease from fast food. There's no real way for me to make food in the hotel rooms.
I can bring a hot plate, a few knives, and a few (small) pans. Maybe a pot. Hotels typically have a microwave too.
What recipes can I make? Or just easy foods in general?
My new job practically requires me to live in hotels.
As you all can imagine, this doesn't leave me much in the way of being able to prepare my foods.
Now, as I don't want to die from arteries harder than the world's hardest metal (diamonds if anyone's interested) and cholesterol high enough to make a Big Mac© blush, I would like to at least make an attempt to make some foods.
I can get a hot plate, and I think I can pack a small set of knives and pans into my luggage.
Any ideas on recipes that I can make with minimal equipment?
Or just meals in general whose recipes I can look up?
I just realized I'll be able to bring spices with me, so at least there's that.
but I also won't be able to store or bring any food or cold ingredients
this job pays ok but not THAT well so I wanna be efficient with it
I think the bigger problem here is the lack of a sink. I guess unless you want to clean your shit in the shower.
>>7674199
>clean your shit in the shower
Shit, I could just lay 'em all in the bathtub and let the shower do all the work for me. I'm sure those drains have seen worse.
Is there anything wrong with drinking milk?
Yes
Unless of course that milk is almond, rice, hemp, soy, etc.
Animal milk is not meant for human consumption. It is an anti-nutrient. It actually drains calcium for our bones
Humans cannot properly digest animal proteins, fats, acids, and dietary cholesterol
