My girlfriend brought some "Silver Fish" home recently and seemed excited about it. Absolutely no clue what they are/what they taste like/what to do with them. Can barely even find any stock photos of them on the googles as most searches revert to silverfish (earwigs).

Anyone have experience cooking them? Only thing I have to work with right now is that they are "really salty" and she said they usually cooked them in scrambled eggs.

What's your best recipe for a simple tomato sauce?

Something that is not meat centric (although it could have some) for things like breadsticks and chicken parmesan.

i've kinda hit a low point with my hardcore healthy vegan diet. like i just feel so uninspired i'm only eating basic soups made with frozen organic vegetables and vegetable broth.

i don't eat anything overly processed like fake meats and try to stay away from soy unless it's fermented for obvious reasons.

I was going to put peaches in but they're not ripe. Add 325 grams of yoghurt.

Living in a house with 4 people. Full time job and full time student. I don't have all the time in the world to set aside for cooking. Would love some recipes (Anything, I'm not picky) for shit that reheats well and holds well. Something I can make in mass and only have to cook like three, maybe four nights a week.

You honestly can't do better than chili and rice.

Yes, you add beans. No, you can use whatever cheap ground meat you want, and load it up with whatever vegetables are in season where you live.

Served over rice it's a complete protein even if you leave out meat all together, but if it's well spiced it always tastes good, is easy to make, and is usually better as leftovers.

Any german here? Do you like fermented vegetables? I finally managed to complete a batch of sauerkraut and another of beets. Is safe to eat these on a daily basis or may I develop problems? I never visited Germany, do they eat sauerkraut everyday?

i have 4 mangoes that are at the cusp of being too ripe. I would like to utilize them before they go but I'm not sure what to do with them. Was thinking sorbet or a pie, or maybe some mango salsa but I am not sure. Havent made any of those before; what would you recommend?
