Fuck me /ck/. I made some pancake batter and decided to try doing that thing where you make super thicc pancakes in your rice cooker. The first one actually turned out okay with some slight undercooked bit at the very top, so I left the second one in longer to try and remedy this. That resulted in pic related, top got burnt and stuck to the bottom of the rice cooker.

The good one was filling, fluffy, and tasty. Gonna save the shit one for breakfast tomorrow.

Final result: 6/10 would be better if I had a better rice cooker and/or more experience.

best recipes with avocado? recently i've made these baked avocado fries which were pretty good. flour, egg, panko, bake at 450 for 20 mins. tasty with spicy mayo

New to /ck/, just want to know which frying pans to use (sometimes the food sticks to the pan), how much heat, and what kind of (and how much) oil. What is low heat/med heat/high heat good for, olive vs sunflower oil, cast iron vs regular, etc.

Always make sure the pan is hot so when you put shit in it instantly sizzles

All oils you buy will say burning temps on them

If you are bad at cooking dont use olive oil use canola - even though it tastes worse, or something like peanut thats hard to burn and fuck around with.

You use all oils for flavor, I dont like olive oil on eggs so I use butter. I dont like olive oil in fried rice so i use sesame. I use olive for pastas and pan cooking all fish.

The amount, the choice and how you use it are all based on whats being cooked.

I had grind Sirloin w/ cuts of beef fat and get 60% fat and 40% lean......Not joking

I then season w/ salt, pepper, tiny bit of cumin, lilttle bit of chili powder, minced garlic and MSG

Put on a homemade brioche bun w/ cheese of the day on sale at the deli slicer.

it's about calories per dollar for me since i'm in pretty good shape and i don't eat like a hog. avocados are great and they're filling.. i eat lots of avocados and olive oil m8. you could also say

like some people do. peanutbutter has 3g sugar per 2 tbsp which is fairly negligible. you're right about the donuts and yogurt, however. cottage cheese would be the more appropriate choice.
