I hope this doesn't turn into a cooking with semen thread.

I wouldn't actually call it love. But I know what it means when people say that. When I cook for people I care about I do everything I can to make it as amazing as possible, no matter how tedious or fussy.

It doesn't really refer to anything other than a sense of nostalgia people get for eating food that reminds them of the food they grew up with.

Usually that means it's made by hand, but not necessarily given any real care in the preparation - it's just the kind of meal that a grandma has thoughtlessly thrown together for half a century.

Every time I buy beef jerky I eat the whole fucking bag in an hour and have the most disgusting farts all day the next day. I tend to avoid it.

I usually only drink one soda per day, or none at all sometimes, but I always have a couple of cocktails or glasses of wine after work.

Most people already assume that vegan food is going to look like vomit; the blurry picture part is a new touch.

I dunno about vegan food but whenever there's a vegetarian meal somewhere it always ends up tastier than the omnivorous ones. They sure know how to use herbs

The one on the top is Yin-Yang fried rice, which is topped with shrimps in egg-white sauce and chicken in tomato sauce. It's an old Hong Kong/Chinese standby that I've enjoyed on many occasions.

The one on the bottom is less easy to identify, since there are a LOT of fried pastry dishes in Chinese cuisine. Looking at the menu of the restaurant that made these dishes (Peking Man, North York, Canada), I'd hazard a guess that that's their take on a spring roll.

Why do places do this? I know "2 or 4" just refers to the amount of food in general, bu if you're going to have something and say "X for two", there should at least be an even number of ever item.
