What is your favorite sauce recipe/combination for a stir fry?
I like soy, honey and vinegar as a basic sauce. Sometimes might add some sweet chili sauce as well.

A few hours ago I went to the local Mickey Dee's.
My friend let me tell you, the moist hot spicy chicken, soft warm bun and creamy mayo were divine. The lettuce was garden fresh!
And let's not forget the hot and crunch fries and ice cold Coca Cola!
>>9319931
But did they compliment your shirt?
If not, I'm out and will no longer be the local 3-for-me.
last 2 times i ate a mc chicken i got food poisoning

>ask for large coffee with 3 shots of espresso
>neither brewed coffee nor espresso drinks are on the menu anymore
>"we dont have any coffee brewed, you want a pourover??"
>"yeah sure"
>"you want some room for cream and sugar?"
>"no, all black please"
>"do you want any syrup shots?"
>"no"
>15 minutes later, they hand it to me
>"maaaan i don't know how you can drink it like that!"
literally every other drink they made in that 15 minute period was pastel colored iced tea or a white looking blended frappe thing with zero coffee in it
Why do people pretend to like coffee?
why did you go to starbucks when you just wanted regular coffee? there are tons of better coffee places
>>9319923
I dunno, probably for the same reason retards like you try to gatekeep food and drink. They feel like it...
What is the deal wiybfast food restaurants having better coffee than Starbucks?
So I tend to buy supermarket brand chicken because it is very cheap. This week i cut it up and seasoned it in a large tupperware. Today I cooked some and most of the pieces were great but some had this weird, almost rubbery crunch-like texture.
Can someone explain what happened? Should I just avoid leaving seasonings in my weekly prep for too long?
>>9319648
That would be the cartilage
>>9319674
I trust you, anon. Any good dry seasonings while I am here? Without salt.
>>9319704
Salt helps meat last. You really should be using it.
Hey /ck/, I'm a guy currently serving in my country's army. Next Monday, I'll be going out into the field until Thursday, and I have the habit of making spaghetti for my mates in the bunk after we return from a mission.
In my bunk, I have
>an induction cooker
>an electric kettle
>tongs
>a ladle
>basic cutlery
>a pot with cover
Typically I go about like this
>spaghetti into kettle to cook
>jar of sauce and canned sausages into pot
>heat sauce on induction cooker
>pour sauce on spaghetti
done
upon some research online, I found that putting salt into the water that you cook the spaghetti in helps. what other advice or suggestions can you give me to help me improve the process?
limitations
>in camp- can only book out on weekends- meaning i need store-able foods that will survive at room temperature
>I'm making cream spaghetti this time, with pic related as sauce, what can i add to this?
>only real cooking tools are kettle and induction cooker
thanks much for your help
>>9319539
>pour sauce on spaghetti
You want to put a portion of spaghetti into a bowl, add their portion of sauce and then mix the two until the pasta is coated in the sauce.
That being said your diners probably aren't too fussed about it.
Hi guys,
It's 11:09am and I'm heading down to KFC for a glorious meal.
The zinger boxed meal is like God sharted in a box.

Holy shoot, Ive never seen this.
Is it available in Australia?
>>9319484
Yep. No idea how you've never seen it. It's been on the menu for years.
Tabasco,a true classic.
Thats not texas Pete. Or sarachi sauce

When I want my food to be hot I put Bhut Jolokia flakes in it.
>>9319216

tabasco in THE sauce that puts people in the "oh wow vinegar is acually a wonderfull coocking/preservative thingey" state, instead of a "ehhw yucky chemicallzzz XD"
>Ah yes, this recipe was fantastic! All I did different was switch the type of cooking fat, add/remove three different seasonings/ingredients, cook it 15 minutes longer at 100 degrees higher, substitute out the gluten for my son with celiac disease, change the chicken to pork, get my asshole bleached, and add in some pickle brine for zest!
>Other than that, fantastic recipe! Five stars!
Ay yes, when middle-aged suburban moms think they're pro fucking chefs because they switched out the cream of mushroom for canned clam chowder or some shit
>>9319168
exactly why I stopped using online recipes for anything. Definitely one area where printed cookbooks are superior.

Is squid a sandwich?

about to go to aldi bros what should i get? what secret deals does aldi have?
my list so far is
cheez club mac n cheese (33 cent per box, super steal compared to kraft)
bunch of potatoes
aldi brand potato chips
aldi brand pancake mix
white bread
cheez singles
pickles
>pancake mix
flour, baking soda, baking powder, eggs
cheaper and better
>>9319005
ive tried to make homemade pancake mix before, didnt turn out right. used flour, sugar, milk, eggs, baking soda, butter.
also my aldi doesnt even sell eggs
>>9318984
Buy anything you would buy at a regular grocery store. Soda is the only Aldi brand item I've bought that was worse than anywhere else. Aldi carries really good chocolate and my store had a deal on habenero mustard this week. Their gluten free line is good if that's something you're interested in.
What's your favorite """cooking""" image/webm from Tasty or other similar sites?

ITT: Recipes you've come up with for making instant food taste delicious.
>Barilla ready pasta (I recommend the elbows)
>Olive oil
>Your favorite pasta sauce (I use 1/3 to 1/2 cup Prego tomato basil & garlic sauce)
>Minced garlic
>Black pepper
Knead the bag of pasta before opening to separate the noodles, then open the bag a third or half way and add two teaspoons of olive oil. Knead the bag further to mix the olive oil throughout.
Put the bag in the microwave for 66 seconds, and pour your pasta sauce into a measuring cup and mix minced garlic and black pepper. I use quite a bit to bring out the flavor.
Take the bag out from the microwave and put the sauce in for 62 seconds. Pour the noodles carefully out from the bag onto a plate.
When the sauce is finished, pour it onto your pasta and you're done. It's extremely simple but it tastes good as fuck. I wonder what else I can add to it.
Cook any kind of pasta (I like penne for this) and add some butter, lemon juice and parmesan cheese. One of my comfort foods, it's my quick imitation of a baked pasta dish my mom used to make.
>>9318686
That jap confort food is pretty piss easy.
>Heat up a bowl of leftover rice in the microwave or have some freshy cooked hot rice
>Add an egg and maybe an extra yolk depending on the quantity of rice
>Add soy sauce and whatever toppings(fried onions/garlic, green onion, chives, sesame oil, fish sauce, or jap shit if available: furikake/nori)
>Mix thoroughly with a fork/chopsticks till some frothy
I'm no weeaboo but that shit is quick and good.
Knorr Sides garlic and lemon, boil that shit up then add a bit of cayenne and top with shaved parmesan (real stuff not the shaker grated shit). Stir and enjoy those globs of chewy cheese
