How the fuck do I make it so my crust is really soft? Like a nice hamburger bun or a brioche.. I always have bread with a thick, hard crust..
a dish with water in the oven with it can help but other than that I really don't know
>>7886782
boil the bread, then stick it in the oven to get a bit of browning going.
>that one friend who orders pic related every time you go out

What's for breakfast, /ck/?

Four slices of sobao puertorriqueño with butter and strawberry jam.
Also coffee with milk.

>The Oooooool'
>Cayenne
This man is such a meme

At least he does something worthwhile with his time. You're just wasting air.
There is very little that cayenne doesn't go with. It provides a good amount of heat without much pungency.

GIVE HER THE OOOL' TAPPA-TAPPA
hey /ck/,
I'm looking for a good kitchen machine, mainly to shape the dough for my bread and viennoiserie, for a personnal use of course. Is there any baker here that can advice me on the subject ?
A quick search direct me to the Kenwood KMX51 (for 250€) that seems to be the medium quality (full metal), and good budget for me.
What do /ck/ use to make good french bread ?
>>7886593
Wouldn't bakers be inclined to buy industrial baking machines which you can't afford?
i use a bread machine to knead dough. See if you can pick up one at goodwill for 10 dollars.
>>7886596
Of course they do, I specified that I'm looking for one for my personnal use.
What I don't understand is why, for instance, I can't find a spirale mixer for low quantity (less than 10kg).
The market is flooded with multi-function robots but not good personnal kneading machine.
I hoped that you could enlight me, I'm new to the profession and looking for advice obviously.
Which foods make you fart toxic gas, /ck/?
>>7886586
Cabbage, turnips and anything with lots of dairy in it basically turns my intestines into a miniature version of Auschwitz.
>>7886586
Funny you ask, I'm staying in Germany atm in the province Hess - where 'Handkäse is made. (extremely low fat cheese) This cheese is often eaten 'mit muzik' (with music), which means it's left to sit in vinegar/pepper and spring onions.
The Term 'muzik' comes from the fact that the spring onions cause you to fart, which is the muzik they talk about.

The pizza is now square. I don't know why I find it more annoying even though it should be easier.
>they recommend cooking it on the rack for extra crisp
>when you cook it on the rack, it makes a mess because the crust on the bottom starts flaking off

Hot dogs, I guess.
This except with salmon instead of meat patties
Veal
I fucking love veal. I'll eat it prepared in almost any way, served with an assortment of shit
Who here /worst guest/? I find myself judging peoples cooking skills when invited for dinner, especially when they are arrogant about it. I have no problems telling people exactly how disgusting/trashy/incompetent their cooking is and how serving bad food is an insult to the guest. In any other area of expertise it is acceptable to critique, so why is it so taboo to be honest about people's cooking skills?
I guess I'm a troll in a way because I'm always polite when people serve me shitty food but if people serve me really good food I always insult it
>>7886361
Not a troll, just contrarian. how's your aspergers?
>>7886374
I figure if someone can't cook or just is broke or something, there is no use in making their situation worse with insults. However if someone takes pride in their cooking I feel a compulsive need to take them down a peg or two. I'm like this in all areas of life.
>The name — Ninja dog — says it all: It’s a giant hot dog shaped after a ninja scroll! The sausage is no less than 30 cm long (in a 20 cm bun)! Both of them contains edible bamboo charcoal which is said to have detox properties. And also gives them this deep black color, like a real scroll!
Thoughts?

>The sausage is no less than 30 cm long (in a 20 cm bun)!
I know people are supposed to be impressed by that, but in my country, that's pretty normal.

>oh shit, I'm feeling bloated, better eat a hot dog made of charcoal
Gerbers and other baby foods causes childhood cancer.
Processed foods, GMOs, and corn syrup (high fructose especially) causes cancer.
What are scientists doing right now to cure cancer? Many would argue they are relentlessly “studying”, experimenting, and slaving away for a cure.
Why?
We already know what CAUSES cancer. What are we doing, as members of the Earth, to make sure such a horrible disease stays out of our lives? Many of those who are aware of processed foods, GMO’s, and high fructose corn syrups insanely unhealthy (aka cancer causing) effects brush right over the fact that they do cause cancer.
We are so hung up over getting our fill of deadly junk, then figuring out the “solution” to the problems it causes later on.
This is unacceptable.
We need to eat ORGANIC substances, free of pesticides, GMOs, processing, and refined sugar/corn syrup.
Around 95% of foods found in a grocery store have high fructose corn syrup found in their ingredients.
Corn syrup is used as a food sweetener- it is used as a sugar substitute in many foods because of the ease of making it. The “convenience”.
Many people have died because of deadly malnutrition provided in excess through the excuse of “convenience”.
It’s alarming that these distributors are selling cancer with the promise of it being “food”. Food is something you ingest for nutrients, to keep your body functioning well.
Then again, most corporations aren’t labeling their products as “food”. We have started injecting every vegetable and other “natural” source with hormones and GMOs, in search of providing “convenience”- “bigger”, “cheaper”, “quicker to grow”.
Convenience brings destruction.
(1/2)
By not allowing the selling of cancer causing “foods”- GMO filled, processed and high fructose corn syrup/refined sugar laden foods, we will be able to drop cancer rates by 97% or more. Radiation from the sun and other chemicals would be the only remaining cause for concern. And even then- by avoiding USING chemicals that cause cancer or pollution, we can decrease the amount of cancer in the world to zero.
A cure? Yes. Even better- before billions of people will even have to worry about chemo treatments and death.
By not selling cancer causing products for consumption, we can ensure that, at least in one way, we are taking care of the inhabitants of Earth- by not using artificial ingredients or refined sugars, including GMO’s, processed foods, and high fructose corn syrup.
Sodium levels in food today is also off the charts, and is the culprit of many health issues.
Dog food, baby food, and most food found in “convenience” stores is mainly unhealthy- unnecessarily, at that.
Many farmers markets carry all the nutrition we need for a healthy life, free of GMO’s, processed foods, and corn syrup.

I usually just do [real] bacon bits, and some cajun spice, sometimes just black pepper. Sometimes cooked broccoli though. Last time I did basically lond-diced cucumber, bacon and cajun and that was fucking awesome.
>>7886002
What are "real" bacon bits? what are fake bacon bits?
>>7885981
i add spinach and sun dried tomatoes, but i use the white cheddar velveeta and shells. i add carrots and peas too sometimes. spicy bacon mac n cheese with bread crumbs, i use fake bacon bits cause i only like a small amount and then fresh jalapenos diced up.
