Eggs go with a lot of things.

Is anyone here into hot sauces or spicy foods in general?
I just bought my first hot sauce (pic) and I can't wait to try it. The spiciest hot sauce I've had before was Cajohn's Trinidad Moruga Hot Sauce which kind of burned my intestines after I ate it.
>>7923964
I find most things over the high end of habanero are just plain heat without substance. As much as I fucking love hot food, I don't want to get to the level where I have to eat that kind of shit fo get my fix.
This shit right here is my favorite. It can be hard to find, though. If you find it, it's worth picking up.
This. Spicy and smoky, I put this shit on chicken to marinate a little with some cracked pepper and salt. Delicious. I also put it on everything else. Eggs, chips, salad. No joke.
Why is it wrong to enjoy well cooked steaks? :(
>>7923831
same reason if you want to enjoy a good bagel you don't toast it. the whole point of steak is to enjoy the taste and texture together. if you're going to cook it till its a shoe you may as well just braise every food you eat untill it's fork tender.
>>7923831
Because cheaper cuts can be made well done, and people don't really know how to make well done.
There's a difference between high heat until shoe leather, and frying on medium while basting in butter until it's medium and letting the carry-over finish it off.
>>7923831
because your personal tastes are irrelevant. You must conform or die. That's the 4chan ethos.

Going to try making rice in the microwave for the third time(no stove)
>Attempt 1: Poured too much water and turned into disgusting rice gruel
>Attempt 2: poured too little water and/or microwaved it too long. Rice went back to it's original solid, crunchy form. Tried to salvage some of it, but ended u throwing it out in rage
I'm basically going to add 1 cup of rice w/ 1.5 cups of water and throw in some salt. Then I'll microwave for 5 mins, stir, and 3 mins. Not covering the bowl cause the lid blew off last time. I need whatever tips I can get before I start
>>7923756
just buy a rice cooker m8, there are like 20 bucks and will bring you thousands of bowls of delicious rice
>>7923765
It's 11:10pm, no one sells rice cookers at this time. Anyway,I only need to master this recipe once and I won't need rice cooker

>had a healthy dinner
>2 hours latter im starving
>dont have any snacks left
>only thing open is gas station
>if i go to the gast station im going to eat 1200 calories of chips, icecream and chocolate
>if i dont i cant fall asleep
>and tomorrow is a busy day so if i dont sleep it will be hell
and this is the moment i abandon my diet again, trying to change is pointless when you have responsabilities

Your life sucks. Makes me glad I'm not you. Still wish you luck, but I don't see much hope.
>>7923603
You don't have to eat the junk food. You could buy a package of peanuts, or some cheese sticks from the fridge case. The're not the best choices but they're better than anything else at a C-store.
If you can't do that, you have a willpower problem, and that makes you a pathetic fatshit and no one has sympathy for you.

How does /ck/ cook for one person? I only recently started cooking all my meals but it's really hard to find recipes I can cut down. It's especially hard to shop because I end up with so many leftover ingredients.
Are there any /ck/ bachelor approved recipes and methods for preparing single serving meals?
Pic somewhat related for dank old memes
>>7923508
You need to freeze things. Make 5 different meals on sunday, divide and freeze. You'll have food for a couple of weeks.
>>7923690
Also consider freezing your leftover veggies and making your own stock. Even thinks like cilantro stalks can go in.
Also consider making something elemental the first day, like steak or chicken, then the next day cooking the leftovers into something new, like chili or burritos.
What's wrong with leftovers for a couple days? Are you one of those faggots?
What kind of breakroom/kitchen does your office have? Is it just a table with 2 seats and a microwave or is it like pictured? What else does your work breakroom/kitchen have in stock?
>>7923485
>is it like pictured?
Chairs too high for low coffee table.
Stools about aesthetics not comfort, not enough overhang for sitting under bar, 4 chairs where only 3 fit when seated. Fridge without hygenic ice dispenser in group setting. No other seating options.
Lack of high cabinets. Stupid backsplash tiles instead, as if cooking is going on.
Worlds smallest microwave sure to burn popcorn.
It has lovely lighting, though none over the actual table. Guess you don't want to read some actual work while you eat.

That's a toaster oven, man.
>office
lmao
/ck/, what kinda wine would you pair with this meal I am cooking this weekend?
Caprese salad with peach-incused balsamic vinegar
Ricotta, lobster, and spinach stuffed shells in tomato-basil cream sauce
The sauce comes out an orange color, so I dont even know whether to go white or red wine, let alone what variety
Riesling

Can I sue my local Subway?
Went in and asked for a tuna and ham salad and the cashier said they had to check with the owner. Guy comes out and says "no we can't do that". I argued with him for twenty minutes before he pulled ouit his phone and called 911. They came and arrested me for disturbing the peace.
>>7923319
Yes sue them.
>>7923319
What was the reason they didn't serve you?
If you are a minority you can sue them because racism, remember you dindu nuffin.
>things that never happened
You can sue anyone, but it would just be a giant waste of time and money. A privately owned food establishment has no obligation to make you something not on the menu, let alone serve you at all.
i need to heat my skillet filled with oil to 190 degrees C but i don't have a thermometer.
what do? if i put it on 6-7 would that be ok? i'm scared. i don't want my tendies to be burnt. i had it on 8 and i lost one test tendy, the breading got too dark.
you're already using testers, that's your best bet. just try it with a piece of bread or something if you don't wanna waste a tendy. and be careful for fuck's sake you don't want it to fountain.
>>7923324
i just placed it at 5 and a half.
if it's not hot enough and i put up the heat to 6 how long should i wait?
Watch some videos on youtube and don't pay any attention to the numbers on the dial. Heat control is a matter of time; the oil will get just as hot on 4 as on 8 if you let it heat up long enough, and putting them in on full heat without letting it heat up would be the same as trying to cook on level 1. No matter what you do, they will bet burnt if you leave them in too long.
It takes a little practice but it's all basic common sense.
How do i into tequila? I've started branching out into various kinds of whiskeys, beers, and wines, but i don't know where to start on tequila.

avoid "gold" tequilas or mixtos. stick with 100% blue agave and you'll start off good.
>>7923288
>stick with 100% blue agave and you'll start off good.
That.
Also, skip silver, stick with reposado and end with reposado. No need to pay for Patron, try hornitos or sauza for the price, but Cabo Wabo is in fact worth the money for incredible smoothness.
Sangrita chaser
In blender combine red chilies, onion, lime juice, tomatoes, and the pulpiest orange juice at the store. Chill.
Tequila sunrise is good, tequila based bloody maria, tequila plus Squirt soda (paloma takeoff). If you want to make a margarita, don't skip the orange liqueur and the fresh limes (or limeade concentrate). Use oranges, mangos, watermelon or whatever fresh fruit is in season. Also good with bit of jalapeno for aftertaste. Chill your tequila down if you wish to do frozen, the ice doesn't melt as fast. Do not for any reason buy any margarita mix, no matter who's prestigious name is on the bottle, it's still reconstituted sour mix crap.
is there a better combination?
