• 80% of antibiotics sold in the US are used in animal agriculture
• Animal agriculture is responsible for 18% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions ( more than the combined exhaust from transportation [cars, planes, train ect, which make up a combined 13%])
• Livestock and their byproducts account for more than 32,000 million tonnes of CO2 per year- that’s half of the WORLD’S greenhouse gas emissions
• Livestock covers 45% of the Earth’s total land (a cause in rainforest depletion). As the population grows, we literally won’t have room for cows
• Methane (yes, from cow farts), is more destructive than CO2 on a 20year time frame
• Methane has a global warming potential 86x that of CO2 on a 20 year frame
• Even without fossil fuels, we will exceed over 565 gigatonnes of CO2 emissions by 2030, all by raising animals for slaughter
• We are currently growing enough food to feed 10 billion people (current population is 7.something billion[fuck u, use google])
• Growing crops for livestock takes 56% of the US water consumption
• 2,500 gallons of water is need to produce 1 pound of beef. And they ask us to take shorter showers? Fuck you
• 5% of US water is for private homes; 55% is for animal agriculture
• Don’t be a dick, go vegan. Or vegetarian or something.
Worldwide, cows drink 45 billion gallons of water and eat 135 pounds of grain each DAY! We have a high enough food yield to feed the whole planet, but we don’t, so that we can have fat fucking cows. We have starving people all over the world, THE GRAINS THAT WE FEED TO LIVESTOCK SHOULD BE FED TO PEOPLE INSTEAD. The meat/dairy industries are in close relations with pharmaceutical and chemical companies (hormone and antibiotic use). They are the one percent as well .
dude, I was going to post something about veganism..
and then I see this.
PROPS!
Hmm lets see would I rather help some dindu nobody thats done nothing for me
or..
eat a delicious juicy steak
hard choice
Here are some even more relevant statistics:
Currently according to the UN, raising animals and producing the FEED FOR THEM uses 40% of the Earth’s land mass - almost half of the planet is an industrial farm for the meat/dairy industries. LET ALONE Cows are responsible for over 37% of the total methane generated by human activity. (Methane is 23 times as warming as CO2)
IT GETS BETTER
If we never subsidized meat in america, all food would be 1/10th the price.
1 acre of land can hold 40,000 pounds of carrots, 40,000+ pounds of whole grains, and 50,000 pounds of tomatoes.
1 acre of land can house an average of 250 pounds of meat. Do the math, thats not even 1% as efficient as plants (actually its 0.625%)
95% of soy, 80% of corn, 70%+ of oats, and over 65% of grain in america is used animal feed. (Literally Billlllionnnss of pounds wasted on middlemen (animals) instead of humans - remember vitamins and nutrients originate from PLANTS not from animals)
So there is this girl with me at work, that always cook something and brings it for me.
Pastries,cake and even pudding.
I want to return the favor, is there some recipes that aloof like myself can follow without burning the house and take short time?

Thank you.

Be honest with yourself on something here: are you considered at least moderately attractive and scrupulously hygienic to the point where people assume without having to ask that you wash your hands after using the bathroom and your home is spotless?
If there is even a shadow of doubt in your mind, your coworkers will probably feel imposed upon and while they will act grateful outwardly (most likely), they will also be stressed out by having to put on an act to avoid humiliating you, and they will secretly put your food in the garbage when you're not looking.

Dude, she's baiting you in with good food.
LITERALLY.
Ask her out.
Best hot dog in the world?
Bun just right, toppings perfect
A gas station hot dog with loads of chili and nacho cheese, and just a touch of mustard. Maybe some onions and jalapenos if I'm in the mood.
erryday
Carmalized onions, spicy mustard, and an Oxford comma.
My hubbie and I are the doting parents of 5 loud-n'-proud kids. (TYVM) :D
Are there any good chain restaurants to take our precious darlings to for dinner, all at once?
Depends how well you usually beat them.
>>7936487
>My hubbie and I are the doting parents of 5 loud-n'-proud kids
Please stop now.
Don't make the mistake my parents did and have 12 of us and then bicker and argue and hate one another and finally divorce after nearly 30 years.
But otherwise, you can take them to nearly any restaurant. That's not too many.
>>7936487
The wife and I were worried that our social life would take a dive after the precious little one came into ours, but nothing has been further from the truth. We go to the same gastropub we've always gone to and the staff has been great! The staff know to ask the other tables to watch their foul language around our innocent angel, and most of the patrons (except for the awful, selfish single men) are only too happy to accommodate. It really does take a village!
Anyway you should go to your regular place, don't be intimidated by jealous singles. They'll come around when it's their turn, LOL
I personally fucking love rose apples
What's your favorite fruit?
>anon eats an obscure memefruit for the first time

It'd be better if it wasn't in such fucking retarded broken pieces

Never had the cheddar, I've only had the Honey Mustard.
Pic related is my favorite snack food
only flavour worth eating is the hot buffalo
What are you eating?
I'm eating Pop Tarts for the first time in my life after hearing Americans jerk off over them for years. I found an American themed store in Norway, and i had to try it.
Holy fuck, never before have i tried anything that fits this much in the "MEH" category. The taste is so boring, and i'm 100% convinced that the person who decided to call it "strawberry flavored" has never had a strawberry in his entire life.
Is the "strawberry flavored" the best pop tart, or is there a better one? I saw a chockolate one, but it just seemed tacky
>>7926004
poptarts are a nostalgia thing for americans, because they're kids food
usually most adults realize their favorite snacks are pretty crappy when we try them again
>>7926004
S'mores ones are ok
Blueberry is better than strawberry imo at least
Pop Tarts in general are pretty shit, your better off with a toaster strudle if your looking for something even resembling a decent quick dessert.
I've always found them to be largely meh myself, but I tried the brown sugar cinnamon ones due to >>7919925 that thread. They're acutally surprisingly good. You get exactly what's on the tin.
Smores are also okay, rather than using a bland, generic dough, it's a graham cracker outside.
The egg salad sandwich: a fallen legend?
That shit is for white people from Connecticut
I hate that shit.
In kindergarten, someone made them and gave them to us. It was slimy and I almost puked.
>>7925610
multiracial person from california here
it's good breakfast
Do you enjoy The Whopper? I feel that it is a good sandwich, and good without cheese which does not come on it. The salad mixes well with the flame broiled beef patty taste and mayo and ketchup combination.
>autistic manchild posts on ck again
So are you a meme? Why do you always have that toy in camera? Why do you eat Fast Food EVERY SINGLE DAY?
Post selfie OP
i wanna see how fat you are
I heard canadians call this a hooper
What cereal is the most comfiest and why is it Coco Puffs?
Since comfiest is already a superlative you don't need the "most" in that sentence
>>7933947
aren't Coco Puffs just Reese's Puffs except shitty?
shimmy shimmy coco puff pass it to me now

Pick one
>>7931353
I've lived in Australia for 26 years and I've literally never seen a blooming onion offered on any menu here.
Its a budget thread now. Post all ways that you feed yourself with empty pockets. Pic related. Throw a few chunks of leftiver meat in with a bowl of this and leftovers last damn near twice as long
>>7929201
That's...not budget friendly. Buying a bulk bag of rice and cooking up a pot of it is far more cost effective than paying for the convenience of single serve rice containers.
>>7929208
They're like $4.50, pretty unacceptable.
>>7929208
Too obsessed with the order of the exact same quantity of rice each time for that.
Pretty much only have rice, eggs and spring onions at home. Any ideas to spice this up a bit?

hot sauce
>>7928679
Semen
Hot sauce or soy sauce you fucking retard.
I recently moved to Wisconsin. This is what a menu at a local Italian place looks like:
>Penne with scallops and sauteed portobella mushrooms COVERED IN A 3 CHEESE BLEND
>Chicken and spaghetti in a white wine alfredo sauce COVERED WITH A 5 CHEESE BLEND and baked with an herb crust
>Penne marinara with italian sausages BAKED WITH ITALIAN CHEESES
>Penne, PARMESAN, FETA, ASIAGO, MOZZARELLA, PROVOLONE, AND CHEDDAR with mushrooms and spinach with shallots and covered in a truffle herb crust
Of ~25 pasta dishes only 2 do not have cheese in them. Don't get me wrong, I like cheese, but this is a ridiculous way to treat Italian food
And no I'm not memeing about them putting cheddar in there but I guess it is supposed to be "truffle mac n cheese"
>>7938591
You should see their "Mongolian" food, it's just bins of random meats, ketchup, soy sauce, onions, and mushrooms, and a stoner throws it on a griddle while you watch
The midwest has some of the strangest ideas about food I've ever seen, and I've lived in 5 countries and 7 US states. Wisconsin is one of the craziest because the locals accept their own trade group ad copy as the unfiltered truth of god
>>7938591
>go to pasta and cheese restaurant
>menu has pasta and cheese
The fuck did you expect? That's like going to Chinese takeout and expecting dim sum. Go get a Friday fish fry with a dark Sprecher beer.

this is the land of the free. my father just hates me living here (understandably, i hate him too) and he's basically trying to do things to force me to leave
move out
