Ok co/ck/s, I've organized a dinner with a few friends, I'm going to be cooking a beef goulash, any advice you could give to a fairly inexperienced cook?
Feed them alcohol so they don't notice if you mess the dish up

Soak the beef chunks in red-wine (in a bowl covered with cling-film in the fridge) for a few hours.
Make it in a slow-cooker if you have one.
Buy the best quality smoked paprika you can find (or afford).
Buy good beef.
Make it for yourself first if you've never made it before.
Hello,
I recently took a trip to chile and went deep sea fishing. I managed to catch some chillean sea bass, which is pretty cool. I exported it back to my home in america and now I have an abundance of chillean sea bass on ice. What is the best way to cook chillean sea bass? Also I'm agnostic so I don't know if it's haram to eat a chillean sea bass or not. Is it against my religion to eat chillean sea bass? Thanks.

I think he was hoping bringing religion out of no where would make it 'le epic troll thread', or something.
I'll get a guy in here in a little bit to start some 'go 'za spam and we'll have this cleaned up.
"Chilean seabass" is awful
Is there anything worse than hearing your stew start to boil over in the other room while you're taking a messy shit?
>>8023360

>>8023360

Why do hipsters love this so much? It's been around forever and some how its this new meme.
It's mexican and tastes good.
>>8023246
Over the last decade or so many places have had good Mexican appear where only watered down Tex Mex had existed before. (NYC, for example). People who live in such places are generally excited about it. That excitement carries over to Mexican drinks as well.

What are your favorite packaged cookies?
I would only get a box of these if they're on special since they're normally $5.
Now that I can bake my own I don't buy mass produced cookies anymore.
I usually get some kebler elf stuff. Price is ussaly right, something with mnms I can chip a tooth on.
News is out that somebody found out KFC's "top-secret" recipe and testers say it's indistinguishable from the official chicken. Aside from needing the equipment to make it exactly like KFC, would you say the mix is accurate or are changes needed?
>Origino
The recipe has been available since the early 90s. The secret isn't the exact blend, it's parboiling before coating followed by pressure frying.
>>8023124
Are those measurements for one chicken? 100? The world will never know
A friend just told me his family gets steak from an army base and it's usually very good. Better quality than most grocery stores in his area. Can anyone explain/confirm/deny this?

Europe is the best at desserts, no questions asked. Even if the rest of the world does other things better, NOTHING beats Austrian or French desserts.

The Americas kick everyone's asses. USA has BBQ, Latin American have amazing meats too
Btw East Asia has the worst food on the planet
>>8022906
If you're talking about a formalized dessert course then yes, I agree with you. But that does nothing to invalidate the delicious sweets found in other places.

Don't you talk shit about bulgogi, senpai
What happens when vegans/vegetarians go to jail? Do the jail serve them vegan/vegetarian food?
Nobody eats vegan/vegetarian in prison, unless you want to get your boypussy rekt
Depends on the prison
Everyone trades food in prison anyway
Same thing that happens when tweakers go to prison I suppose: the adapt and get fat.
Where can i learn to cook?
I can't find a normal site for learning the basics of preparing food
i just want to prepare my daily food with minimal time consumption so i can spend less on outside food
Jon snow pic attached - because i know nothing

>Where can i learn to cook?
With Google:
1) pick a recipe. Google it.
2) Buy the ingredients the recipe calls for, and follow directions.
3) If you encounter words you don't know then google them to learn what they mean.
>I can't find a normal site for learning the basics of preparing food

Hey /ck/
How du u drink ur Gin?
Which Gin is the best to drink pur ?
This is my favorite straight drinking gin. A lot more juniper and floral character rather than piney or citrusy.
As for drinking, I usually drink straight with plenty of ice or toss in a twist of lime or a dash of Peychaud's bitters.
City of London gin is a great everyday gin for under $35 a handle that is good enough to drink straight, but better suited for a cocktail
>>8022968
This sounds nice,i am from Germany, dont know if they sell it here
>>8022968
>juniper and floral character
See, that's something I've been looking for in a gin because thus far I've only ever had the "piney" and "citrusy" stuff, which makes me feel like I need to mix it.

someone define fake beef plz
any companies out there use fake beef?
inb4 combo patties, just talking beef here.
>>8022830
some places use meat filler
>>8022832
That would be a combo patty. The beef in said patty would still be 100% real beef.
>>8022839
We're approaching the era where it very well could be artificial printed meat
