Its my wife's favorite part of the fish.

Anything can be edible if you really want it to be anon. Believe in yourself.
>>

I'd feed your wife my fish head, if you know what I mean.

Just back from a trip to scotland.
Haggis is delicious.
I mean, really fucking good.
Why the heck has it got such a bad reputation?
I'd like to try making it.

>Why the heck has it got such a bad reputation?
Cause it looks like shit and people are squeamish about eating offal.
They shouldn't be though. Heart, lung, kidney and liver are the tastiest parts of most mammals.
>>
>>8096857
I don't understand it either OP. It's just like how people don't like to eat dog or cat meat or penises or nuts. Don't they know that nuts have the best salsa right inside them? And everyone being so squeamish about eating cat meat? Please. It's succulent.

The scots are the most obese in euroland. They hardly get sober, ever. Hell. Lets eat stomach filled with crap.

Would you say this is an accurate one-post summary of /ck/?

Not quite, the poster didn't slyly mention that he was an alcoholic

Not even close.

i'm planning on making margaritas tomorrow night for a get together.

Any advice/tips/fun things to try?

Look up a standard recipe - one that uses real lime juice, Cointreau, and decent tequila - and follow it.

Other than that, try both blended and on the rocks, and maybe an assortment or tequila, drinking a glass of each straight to see which you prefer on it's own.
>>
>>8096781
Not OP but is Cointreau really necessary? I mean I have done Margaritas with original recipe and I have done some tequila sours (with lime ofc) and I couldn't notice a big difference between em.
>>
>>8096839
Just get the off brand triple sec and save yourself the $40 a bottle of Cointreau. Most won't notice if you use the dekuypper (sp) stuff.

hey so me and a friend of mine are gonna make a rum ham (ham soaked and cooked in rum) inspired by Always Sunny In Philadelphia

does anyone know if this can actually get us drunk?

>>
I don't know, what generally happens to alcohol when you cook with it?
>>
Cooking liquor burns off the alcohol, dum dum (but a ham comes pre-cooked, so I guess the idea is just to soak/inject it with a bunch of rum).
>>
>>8096744
i need rum ham to actually give a shit about this recycled thread.

So I just got diagnosed with high blood pressure.
I know excersise and healthy food aka dropping weight, would help.
Q: are there any specific food/vegetables/herbs that could help bring it down?

I'm calling BS on this but If your BP is that high you need to go to the ER via ambulance or your gonna die very soon. Serious. If a Dr took that BP you would be sent straight to ER.

Get on some BP meds. Hibiscus is an herb that's good for BP.
>>
>>8096686
; ) it's not. It was clickbait.
I do get medicine. But would rather eat me out of this plus excersise. Thanks for Hibiscus tip.

What should I put in vegetable stock other than carrots, onions, and celery, plus herbs? Potatoes? Asparagus? Mushrooms?
19 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
peppercorns

no to all the other stuff you suggested

save that for when you actually use the stock
>>
>>8096551
Maybe celeriac, leeks with green top.
>>
No potatoes. They soak up salt and flavour.
The flavour of asparagus is too delicate to really do anything but if you want to chop off the inedible ends and throw them I guess waste not want not.
Dried mushrooms (not fresh) actually work surprisingly well at adding depth. I certainly wouldn't waste porcini in there but otherwise go for it.
Besides that, I'm partial to a bit of dried seaweed especially if what I'm making is going to be asian inflected. Aside from that, salt, herbs (rosemary, thyme and bay tend to be my go to), maybe a bit of garlic you're good to go.

Both ketchup or mayo works fine with fries.
But, mixing them, thats gold.
Don't say you already knew that.

Best sauce to put cheetos in?

Honey for me

>honey
Just why?

Anyway, back in high school, a big trend for kids at my school was eating bags of Flamin Hot Cheetos with those cream cheese cups normally reserved for bagels, which they also sell at the snack bars around the campus
>>
>>8096474
i used to dip chik-fil-a fries in honey. that was before i changed restaurants and the staff there was too stupid to realize they always had it in stock, just never out. when i asked the servers for it, only like 2 of them bothered to look under the register for it, and all the others would just gawk at me like a retard and say "we don't have honey..."

as for cheetos: kys op
>>
I enjoy dipping cheetos in a thick gravy. Also, kys OP, you're degenerate scum.

So what's the question?

my local kroger started stocking a parmigiano reggiano by a company called agriform. Im a bit leary of any cheese labeled as such because of the mass fraud in the cheese.can the rind with the name dot thing be faked?

>>8096272
As long as it isn't pasturized milk you're good.
>>
>>8096272
It should say "product of italy" or some shit
>>
>>8096272
Call me a pleb, but as long as it says imported from Italy and has the iconic rind, I think it'll be fine. Even if it happens to be 'fake' they sure put a lot of fucking effort in anyways and is still gonna be tasty. That being said, grana padano is better, my dude.

I have a bunch of left over sloppy joe meat. What else can I make with it that will taste good? You guys think chili will workout or would the sloppy joe sauce just make it taste off?
I'm not a big fan of sloppy joes to begin with. I only make them once in a blue moon as a sort of comfort food.

Freeze it and use it next time you make them.
>>
Maybe use some in a spaghetti sauce? Or a sloppy lasagna. Just spitballing here

>>8096228

You HAVE to activate almonds otherwise you might get poisoned if you eat too many
>>
How do you know when the almonds are ON?
>>
>>8096197
