Okay /ck/, I´ll make a hiking trip soon and besides buying from farms or stores, I plan to have an "emergency ration" á la pemmikan.
The stuff I plan to put in there should contain the following

>fats
>complex carbs
>salts (I´ll put vitamins into my water via pills)
>and some glucose
I heard about >pic related and want to use it for the ´teinz and salt. Can I dry it myself if I have only a cubboard and a handdryer (electricity is free in my flat)? Oh, and what spices should I use?
Also, is peanut butter a good basis for bars or cookies, maybe with some oats and chocolate?

I personally find that cooked peanut butter has significantly less protein value. If that's what you're going for I'd try to layer it on something else. However it's worth noting that raw peanut butter is way heavier than baked PB, so it would be more of a burden in your pack than baked off

How would you all recommend making a homemade McChicken®™ sammy? Would you make each ingredient homemade first? Like homemade mayo, homemade chicken, homemade breading, homemade lettuce, and homemade pickles.
Or would you assemble premade ingredients, at home?
Or a combo of both? Besides that, have you tried to do this before? Lastly, here is a photo of my most recent attempt at a homemade MCchicken™ sammy.

How do you feel about kitchen knives made of powdered steel originally designed for high-speed industrial tools like R-2, SG-2, and ZDP-189?
Are they noticeably better than other types of stainless steel?
How do they compared to non-stain resistant carbon steel like Aogami Super and Hitachi Blue #2?

Does anyone know any interesting styles of chips and dip? I was kicking around the idea of doing a chicken tikka styled one but I'm not sure what the dip's base would be for that, possibly a yogurt?
Another idea included some kind of Thai lime chicken dip. I have a Thai basil plant that's recently matured but I'm at a loss for how to make a dip with a thick consistency while still keeping the chicken as a pronounced texture. I thought a peanut sauce would be good but I'm allergic. I'm also trying to stick to tortilla, potato, and pita chips.

Smoked fish dip is always a hit. Cream cheese, sour cream, a bit of mayonnaise, finely chopped green onion, lemon juice, dill, garlic and parsley. I've done it with home smoked trout and salmon and it's always hammered.

I'm an 11th generation Englishman. My parents, grandparents, great grandparents etc are all proud englishmen, but one thing I always found strange was only being allowed to eat with my right hand. I always thought this was normal, but I've recently found out it's not. Other countries around the world, especially 1st world countries (which the UK is not), allow not only the use of both hands, but also utensils. Now I'm told the reason for only using the right hand while eating is because we use our left hand for wiping our ass. Like wtf! Are other countries really ok with using their poopy hand to eat with?
While the pic is not exact, it is related. It's how my family have always eaten. My parents always called this the full english breakfast.
Is this the same in your country?
