Find a flaw. Protip: you can't.

You're shitting me anon, Vietnamese is full of aromatics, and I loaded this with chili oil. This is bun bo hue, not pho. Pho is still amazing.

Tried out Wendy's for the first time today. It was the worst fast food experience of my life. Where do I begin?
- I got a baconator, large fries and a caramel milkshake. It cost fucking £6, more than a larger meal would cost at McDonald's
- I made the mistake of looking at the burger patties. They looked like a slightly less bad version of pic related. I really didn't want to eat them after that but I managed to stomach them
- It didn't even taste good. It was the most flavourless burger I've ever had, despite seemingly being at least 50% fat and sugar
- The milkshake came in a small cup and the top half of the cup was filled with whipped cream, meaning the amount of milkshake you actually get is miniscule
- I had to pay for the fucking ketchup
- I later went back for a "frosty" since I'd heard so much about them. It was nothing but a handful of M&Ms mixed in with flavourless soft-serve ice cream, the sort that comes out of those machines
The only good thing was the fries, which were crispy and delicious, even better than at McDonald's.
This was my first taste of authentic American fast food, and I won't be coming back.

fuck the USA

I'm American and I stopped eating fast food burgers well over a decade ago. If you want a good burger go to a place that does good burgers. Fast food burgers are not good.

What happened to buffets /ck/? Why are Chinese ones the only still around?
Also share your people watching/munchies stories.
Buffets are my favorite restaurants to eat at desu. My area actually has quite a lot of Indian buffets too, plus a few places like Golden Corral.
The one thing that sucks is how quickly a lot of buffets go out of business. There was a Chinese buffet down the street from me a few years ago, it changed hands a couple times before shutting down.

They are now full with niggers
They are disgusting, frequented by diabetic rednecks who burp and fart all over the food.
Why is cilantro so fucking gross? It is so overpowering and coats my mouth with a soapy taste. It's fucking disgusting.

ATF thread? Nice pg, is that an LCP? new piece?
When the food critic, Anton Ego, bites into Remy's ratatouille, he's instantly transported to a comforting memory of eating the same dish his mother made when he was sad. What food gives you that feeling and what memory does it bring to mind?
My mom had this special dish that was a spin on the traditional take of chilaquiles rojo. It was a lot of effort for a weekday dinner, especially since my parents would come home so late. So whenever she made it, it was a special dinner. I recently ordered it at a restaurant and just seeing it on my plate made me happy. It even got a conversation going since everyone at the table was trying to pick off my plate. What's your special dish?
Whenever I drink beer I remember what my dad always smelled like right before he beat me.
>>8138641
Sucking on your moms tits
>>8138644
For me its the smell of cigarettes
Beer makes me think of happy times, friendly old fellows at the bar playing dice, talking about the game and eating peanuts.. I miss those innocent days of my youth.. I miss that bar...
>he fell for the cast iron meme
How does it feel to be a culinary hipster?
I inherited them from my parents. You're just bitter you come from a pleb family with no cookware worth handing down.
What am i supposed to be using then?

>not getting hand me downs that can fry and sear like so tomorrow
Kys edgemotron9001
>boiling vegetables in water does not yield a soup, it just yields water and vegetables
>it's the equivalent of drinking water and eating raw vegetables
>a soup has to have meat, potato, pasta, vegetables and a lot of spices to be considered a soup
>t. Swedish anon 2016
As culinary artists, do you agree with these statements?
>this is a soup
>t. Swedish anon 2016
I thought corncob stock was the shit
>>8137600
That is not a fucking soup. THIS is a soup. It needs to have MEAT and PASTA/POTATOES!
Has a meal ever made you cry?
Yes, but it was due to the spiciness rather than an emotional thing.
I ate some convenience store cheddar cheese the other day that made my poos so strained that I teared up

I've had a couple Vindaloo curries that have caused water to come out of my eyes.
