How do I live off a grocery budget of $40 per week?

I'd prefer to stay in the 30-40 range but can go up to 50 if it'll make a noticeable difference, but no higher.

Pls help. I don't really know how to cook, so far I've been making PB&J and pic related almost every day.

Are you fucking serious right now? When I had money I could spend about 60-70 dollars and it would last for at least 2 weeks, more if I eat less. There's people here who eat on less but it's kind of a shitty diet I think, not sure. Anyway, I've been meaning to find out how to eat cheap and healthy but yeah like I said it probably sucks. God I'm so hungry...
>>
>>9334707
Anon, i have no fucking clue what kind of food you like. What the fuck do you expect from this interaction?
You dont know how to cook? Look up some fucking youtube videos. Its not hard.

As I've gotten older I've realized that in general, people are nearly as mindful of you as you are of them.

Sometimes it's hard on the heart to be an autist who was raised right.

Do vegans eat honey?
What about like ant eggs and larvae?
What about Jello?
I assume yeast is ok

All these rules got me confus

>>Do vegans eat honey?
Some do. But others don't because it's "bee slavery".

>>What about like ant eggs and larvae?
No, those are animals.

>>What about Jello?
No, that comes from animals too. Though I assume they can have agar-agar, which comes from a plant and has a similar texture.

>>I assume yeast is ok
Yes

>>All these rules got me confus
The easy way to avoid the confusion is to reject the idea of Veganism in the first place.
>>
>>9334358
I thought agar was carcinogenic
>>
>>9334340
>Do vegans eat honey?
Honey is made with animal labor, not animal products. It's kind a loophole so different vegans will give you different answers. Some eat honey, others don't.
>What about like ant eggs and larvae?
Does anyone eat those???
>What about Jello?
No it's made from gelatin
>I assume yeast is ok
Nutritional yeast is a must in any vegan pantry (or any pantry really)

What is the best Chicken Alfredo recipe?

I usually follow FoodWishes recipes but the Alfredo one is weird. He boils the chicke and doesn't even use butter.

Cmon guys someone reply.
It's almost lunchtime and I need to make chicken alfredo.
>>
Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs (ideally fresh, or you can just get a jar of generic "italian seasoning" from the supermarket). Saute it. Cut into chunks or strips to add to the dish later.

Sauce: Equal parts butter and heavy cream in the saucepan. Melt the butter then simmer for a while to drive off some of the moisture. Then whisk in finely grated parmagianno-reggiano cheese. Season with black pepper. You won't need salt because the cheese is already salty.

Toss the noodles in the sauce, plate, put chicken on top.
>>
>>9332857
Why not cut the chicken into pieces before sauteing it?
