Alright, /ck/. I have 100 dollars to spend. I need to make a "slightly" romantic dinner for my girlfriend on Thursday. Nothing fancy or anything. I also need it to be something 'fairly' simple, and something that can be made in a two hour span. Also, if you have any wine recommendations, or romantic dinner recommendations -- such as atmosphere -- I'd greatly appreciate it. I may even propose to her, but I haven't decided. She loves most food, so no restrictions. I am of average cooking skill, and love working with food. Please, hit me with what I got. I don't get a lot of chances to cook for her, and I want to impress.
Pic unrelated
You could remake the first meal you ever had together. Even if it's just pizza or chicken soup, it's familiar. Comfy is sometimes the best kind of romantics.

I agree. But she's tired of pizza, and even soup. I try to be romantic and order comfort food for us to eat at our house while we watch whatever Netflix has to offer, or just eat it at the table and talk to each other. She doesn't like it. She really prefers when I cook, and I want to put in the extra effort in this meal and surprise her and make it slightly more romantic.
Plus, I don't think we remember the first meal we ate together. We went out with our circle of friends a lot, together but before we started talking or even dating, so I have no idea what our first meal together was. I can't even remember what our first meal ALONE was when we were dating. I remember a long time back, right when we started dating, that she loved when I made 'cheesy eggs'. Basically shredded cheese, eggs, Lawry's Seasoning Salt, and pepper, served with ORange juice. She remembers that fondly, but I don't know if she'd like a dinner based around that.

Op make risotto, bitches love risotto and its super easy
Why do I always hear stuff like Filipino being the next best food thing. Do they actually have a cuisine that can be considered a meme?
No. Filipinos, every single one, are delusional narcissists that aren't actually talented in any way other than how narcissistic they are. This includes their cooking.
I don't think it'll ever really catch on. You'll see a restaurant pop up here and there, but flip food is not terribly exciting. It's basically boiled meat with rice.
There are worse cuisines out there, though.
For me it's the Phillipino style carbonara, the best meal you can get.
What are some easy to prepare Vegan meals?

Robot Pizza maker now delivers?
They have a delivery truck equipped with 56 specially designed ovens to guarantee that their pies arrive at customers' doorsteps fresh , but do you still TIP
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKlvVTgOCEA
>>8156380
Delivery companies fucked up by charging delivery fees. They have guaranteed that tipping will eventually be phased out
>>8156380
What's the fucking point? All they essentially have is a robot that dispenses sauce and another one just puts it in the oven, humans still do everything from making dough and adding toppings, not to mention that they only sell one size of pizza. It's a retarded silicon valley start up that will eventually flop and is probably just staying afloat because of dumb investors who are amazed by automated sauce dispensing.
It's about disrupting a US$38 billion market that is dominated by.The Big four in the US,Domino's, Little Caesars, Papa John's and Pizza Hut, control around 40 % of the market. The surge in mobile ordering and demand for food delivery. Digital ordering is growing 300 percent faster than dine-in traffic. At Domino's, more than 50 percent of its US customers order via digital platforms.
hey ck what's your go-to lazy meal?
>big plate of raw veg with side of cold leftover chicken eaten with hands master race
If I'm not going to eat a microwaved mea ? Fried egg on jasmine rice with soy sauce (preferably mushroom flavored) and black pepper.
Lazy to me since rice for this dish is always a leftover item, and it doesn't take more than 5 mins to fry an egg - I prefer the yolk to be runny anyway.
Ramen prepared in a microwave.

I hate pumpkin, cinnamon, and all fall spices. Tell me about it
>>8156333
That sounds disgusting.
I envy people who beg for their pumpkin crack fix in the summer. Working as a cafe barista ruined it for me. That syrup shit is nasty.

If you don't like it then don't buy it, stupid.
I'll start: Snack Sushi.

Does anyone know what brands or kind of cast iron skillet is good to buy that might be sub-$100?
https://www.amazon.com/Lodge-L10SK3-Pre-Seasoned-Skillet-12-Inch/dp/B00006JSUB
it's even pre seasoned for extra laziness. Hell, if you want to go nuts there's a 15" one that's only $40

Check out local auctions or auctions in small towns as well as estate sales.

>>8156175
I ... meant cream cheese frosting on top of vanilla cupcakes.
>>8156155
Sounds good OP. I wish I knew a gourmet source for them. I swear they had more honey in them as a kid.
I guess I would doctor up that cream cheese frosting to include honey.
I used to devour the fuck out of these when I was young. A chimichanga and vanilla coke were my drug of choice. Nowadays I know that they're instant diarrhea, but when I'm too drunk to taste, they bring me back to the good ol' days.
>>8155765
That's a funny looking pizza.
>>8155768
It appears I've drank too much again.

I like mini pizzas. Don't really eat them too much. Great for parties.
>>8155437
They're at every party or large dinner or shit like that because you can buy them by the dozen along with other delicious baked goods
I use this EVERY single time I eat a steak, and theres nothing you can do about it
