Got some venison today. Haven't had any in a decade due to price. What should I do/add to get the best out of the meat? I'm thinking slow cooker.
how do you sleep at night?
>>8167932
I am not sure what you mean. Because I don't get to eat much venison, or because I use a slow cooker?
>>8168020
Depends on what you got, friendo.
>burgers
>stew
>steak
>soup stock from bones
I treat it similar to beef, desu

I hate all other apple types I've tried. Open to suggestions.
>just discovered frozen Mounds bars
What else have the Jews been hiding from me, /ck/?
>>8167509
That joke isn't funny. This is legitimately Israeli food, and my family is from there. Take your racist drivel somewhere else.
>>8167898
>all people in israel must be jewish
take your racist entitlement somewhere else, steinberg
Soup co/ck/s.
I picked up 3 pounds of boneless pork belly from a butcher shop today. Never made one before. I planned on putting it on my charcoal grill tomorrow and then slicing it for sandwiches.
I was talking to my Moms on the phone and told her about my plan for tomorrow. She advised against it citing that the fat would drip from the belly and start a big grease fire potentially. Is she just old and worrisome?
Could I just wrap it in foil or something or put it on a baking pan? I was really looking forward to grilling this. Would it be better/safer in the oven?
Pork belly grilling tips needed.
Also, there's a layer of skin left on by the butcher. Should I cut this off before cooking?
Indirect heating motherfucker
Have your heat source on one side of the grill, and on the other side put a drip pan and cook the pork belly over it
I seen this method of turning a charcoal grill into a "smoker". The only problem is I don't own a divider. Any ideas on making a makeshift one?
yea shes right, you probably dont want to grill pork belly, at least not when its raw, maybe to finish it

Anything wrong with eating alone?

Nope. What do you think people who travel on business do: starve?
>>8167159
maybe takeout?
It's fair season! What's /ck/'s favorite fair food?
For me it's all about funnel cake. It can't really be called a fair unless there is the distinct smell of manure and sweet funnel cake in the air.
elephant ears > funnel cakes
Fucking fight me.
for me it is the donut burger, the best fair food sandwich

chicken and waffles on a stick
What are you doing for Thanksgiving this weekend?
Turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, turnips, cabbage rolls, perogies, salad, buns, apple pie, pumpkin pie, deliciousness.
also Hockey and Football.
Being an american and not celebrating it yet.
Goddamn canadians
Turkey, gravy, stuffing and cabbage. I ain't fancy.
What your opinion on putting hot sauce on seasoned fried chicken? Does it make the chicken taste better or does it cover up the taste of seasoning?
>>8167084
>does seasoning cover up the taste of seasoning
wew
>>8167832
this is a cooking forum dipshit
>>8167084
If you dont' have a shitty middle of america white person tongue you should be able to handle more than a couple flavors at once. You're not one of those people who are overwhelmed when a steak has more than a little bit of salt pepper on it are you?
Either way honey is superior to hot sauce in every way when it comes to topping fried chicken
Why isn't there a ck sticky?
>>8167053
We can't even agree on how to boil water, and you want us to put together a whole fucking sticky?
at this point it should be a link to cooking with jack

It's vinis vinifera, fermented in a barrel, put in a bottle and poured in a glass.
And it looks cool too.
I pretty much dont care for taste.

donate blood
drugs (statin, cholestyramine) and/or a fiber supplement

How much would it cost to get all your blood replaced with the blood of a healthy person? A+ blood type, asking for a friend.
I posted this on /adv/ too

I made some beer battered chicken breasts, and one of them looked pink although the outside was brown, I've had a couple of bites of this one (they were on 4.5 out of 5 on the skillet with veggie oil for 5-7 minutes)
Should I throw it back on?
Always tenderize or butterfly chicken breasts that you fry, and cook them until any jus is transparent. Yes, throw them back on. But fillet them first.
High heat is NOT "fast mode." cook poultry at 3-4/5, and make sure your food is cooked evenly.

I'm trying to into cooking for /fit/ reasons so it'd be good to know. I'm mean, I'm not retarded, Ive had chicken, hell I've made it before, but never beer battered.
You can see in the picture some of them came out alright and some didn't cook the same way. I figured the wetness of the batter would be enough to cook them if the veggie oil dried up in between rounds of cooking the chicken
>>8166895
Well let me ask you, I'll throw them back on, about to wash the skillet, but, does it matter that I had a few bites before I noticed? Without the light it looked pretty white
Just had Taco Bell in the UK for the first time.
Utter shit.
Any one else have experience of UK Taco Bell? I believe there are only four or five in the country.
>bongs in charge of doing something right
US chains overseas are always bizarrely different to accommodate the different tastes of the population.
Bongland doesn't have mexican food. Not good mexican food anyways, so of course taco bell is going to be even worse
>>8166884
prob not the most authentic but wahaca (a uk chain) is pretty good.
Lets make a pact. Lets kill thoss planet.
Eat beef. Pollute it
I just don't understand how a modern first worlder can choose to not be a vegan. We've long evolved out of our need for meat, and we have the resources to obtain necessary nutrients without slaughtering animals.
I wouldn't even be so against eating meat if the industry wasn't cruel.
>>8166880
>But meat tastes good.
I agree with that, but I will never eat another piece of it unless the industry undergoes some sort of revolution.
