Quaker oats being sued for allegedly using cancer causing pesticides.
Great, now where am I going to get my FUCKING OATS FROM
>>8156334
I've eaten Quaker oats every single day for about 20 years.
So I've bee wanting to get into sandwiches lately, I'm kind of a sandwich noob....in my youth I mainly just ate like cheese sandwiches (cheese and mayo) or just turkey and mayo with lettuce, but I realize these are very basic and I want to get into making good sandwiches.
What do you think makes a good sandwich? What are the key components? Favorite filling combinations? Any favorite sandwiches? Eventually I'd like to get into more advanced toasted sandwiches but I'm gonna start with simply cold sandwiches

Anybody else here use spreadsheets to keep track of food related shit?
I got really high the other day and created this. It started out as a simple shopping list calculator, but grew to so much more.
This spreadsheet keeps a record of previously-recorded items, and fills in the details like price automatically- taking tax into consideration- before giving me a total. It can also sort foods by criteria like calories/dollar, servings/dollar, amongst other things.
Do you guys have any suggestions? I'd be happy to release it to you guys once I tidy the sheet up because it has become a cluttered mess.

Is there any way to make something resembling gyro/doner meat with only a toaster oven, microwave, and stovetop?

>Is there any way to make something resembling gyro/doner meat with only a toaster oven, microwave, and stovetop?
Gyro meat can be made like meafloaf. Just spice up your ground meat mixture (more finely ground), and form into a loaf, muffin cups, or mounded on a cookie sheet or baking pan and baked until cooked through. Cool. Slice thinly as you wish. Recrisp slices if you want before serving on the stovetop, but not necessary on a nicely browned loaf.
tl;dr; Had an elk burger Saturday. Where should I buy some of my own?

Hunters.
Google it. If you want a lot, look for a ranch nearby, if not, look for exotic meat suppliers.
Hey /ck/ I added some bread and added some seasoning to the sausage and veggies this time while it cooked, there's also some parmasean on top of the pasta at the bottom. How'd I do this time guys?
>>8155889

Why does everyone waste so much food?
You can make a stock out of pretty much anything. I have 4 different stocks I made in the freezer right now.
You can eat like a king and save money at the same time. Tastes good, too.

Go back to /s4s/ with your forced meme, faggot.
Just got some of these: what should I make, /ck/?

You should throw 'em in the trash where they belong
Is there some point to washing dishes? I read some article saying hand washing dishes is unsafe. I just rinse them off with water and reuse them I don't use soap or sponges or rags. I don't really get sick either. I got a bad fever 9 years ago and that's it.
I know that sounds pretty NEET so surely others here can relate or something?
First, you're going to get a lot of flak for this OP.
But honestly, I don't go over the top with dishes if they're for personal use. I use a rag and a dot of soap with hot water. I spend maybe 3 seconds a plate, and toss them on a drying rack.
As long as they don't look gnarly, I don't really care. I only actually put effort into sterilizing my dishes if I'm having guests over, or a qt
>>8155869
>I'm having guests over, or a qt
just brake out the dixie
>>8155854
You're fine, I can't even use soap. Maybe just for greasy shit because the allergy is light.
I'm a traditional Italian chef. I grew up in Italy my whole life. Every week me and my family get together and make a large Italian meal.

Does the garlic liquefy in the pan with just a little oil?
Why is this allowed?
Because I live in a free country.
>>8155436
why do you hate freedom?
Which cut of porkchop is best?
I prefer at least an inch thick.
4 1" chops piled on top of each with meat glue.
>>8155407
Why not just get a different part of the pig at that point?
>>8155395
I like thick most of the time, bone-in, on the grill.
But, sometimes there's deliciousness in thinly sliced chops, such that you get 2 per serving, and lots of browned stickiness on both sides, especially if you cornmeal dust it, that could burn if you cooked them longer.
What are your taco day plans?
Gonna make homemade mac and cheese
>>8155309
i was thinking arby's
shit, I found out it was national taco day about 2 hrs ago and got excited. hit up some friends but they've either already eaten or have other food plans.
