Could it be related to him pissing on everything he sits?

Hey /ck/ I grew a few peppers but I don't know what to do with them other than use them in cooking. Any suggestions?

You can use them for home defence
>>
Roast them in the oven like this, full and with the skin. When they look soft and a bit burnt take them of, the skin will be easy to peal. Now put them in a bowl full of olive oil and maybe garlic, oregano, any dry herbs and salt and pepper.

There you go you have amazing marinated peppers you can keep them in the oil for a week or more

Hey cu/ck/s. I cook pretty often and I have more or less perfected most dishes I cook regularly, but one still evades me - chicken noodle soup. Everything in it is delicious, but the chicken tends to dry. I've tried altering the cooking time and cooking temperature. I've tried different cuts and I've tried brining, but the chicken is always dry. Is dry chicken just something that is guaranteed with soup, or is there a way I can leave a little bit of juiciness in the final product?

fuck noodles, use dumplings instead. Recipe is literally eggs, flour, and a little salt until it's gummy, then fork it into the boiling water.

Other than that, home made chicken stock, chicken, carrot, celery, onion, and seasonings.

I really like dumplings, but I'm cooking for family and my sister eats like a toddler, even though she's 22. Dumplings taste better, but she refuses to eat them because of the texture. She doesn't even eat spaghetti. What seasonings would you suggest? I usually keep it light because my sister is picky as hell and if I change anything, even for the better, she'll throw a fit.

I brown my chicken on the bone in oil, remove it, saute the vegetables, add the stock and chicken, simmer for 45 minutes, remove chicken, and take meat off bone. Cook vegetables and stock 30 more minutes, add chicken and noodles and cook until noodles done.

I've never noticed the chicken being dry.

How did Eggo manages to pull it off, bros? Most prepackaged, quick to cook foods are obviously inferior and a lazy substitute for homemade, but I've honestly never had a waffle that was better than an Eggo. The closest I got was when I fucked up and left the dough in the iron too long, and it burnt and crisped up more than it should have. Crispy waffles are the GOAT, and Eggo portion sizes aren't overbearing, ya know? Thoughts?

i bet it's just bc you grew up eating them first so your brain has associated waffle with eggo. i am also a huge fan of them, but no way is it better a big thick belgian waffle

I like the flavour of their thick and fluffy ones best but man are they greasy for some reason.

PC brand belgian waffles are great too.

I've got about a dozen wings thawing but I have zero experience cooking them. I'm looking for some general tips, cooking methods, etc. I want to avoid making some shit like hot wings though. Also I've got a decent variety of herbs and spices to work with along with other kitchen basics like garlic and whatnot.

I'm not a top tier certified chef with various golden /ck/ plaques on my walls, but I use a simple method when I make fries wings and I think it's good.

I put the wings on a plate and douse with seasoned salt and pepper. Be careful not to over salt. I'll maybe even add a little paprika. I tumble the wings all around afterwards to make sure all of them are evenly seasoned. I crack an egg or two into a plastic bag. I put the wings in the bag and tumble and fumble them all around to make sure all of the wings are covered with egg. I then grab another bag, put flour in it, and put the soaked wings in the flour and tumble and fumble them all around. Afterwards I put the wings inside the skillet of hot grease and let em fry till golden brown. Then come out pretty good. I know other people use more spices and different other methods of prepping.

Do a quick braise with pan sauce. Disjoint wings, salt and pepper. Cook in butter and olive oil for 10 minutes turning occasionally. Remove. Saute onion for 5 minutes. Add garlic and thyme and some chicken stock and white wine if you have it. Return wings to pan and cook covered for 10 minutes. Remove wings and reduce sauce. Add butter and parsley at end. Pour over wings.

will be in camp for 2 months, what kind of snacks should i get?

i have instant noodles, some standard granola bars and a few packets of digestives so far

I'm having inconsistency making those colorless/tasteless gelatin. I wanna use it mixed with broth as a substrate for bacteria growth. Can anyone tell me at which temperature (C | F) and for how long (s | min) should I heat the water/gelatin mix?

Don't you usually use agarose for that?

this is amazing ! please can you tell me how you did it ?

>>8165888
Gelatin will melt at the temperatures used for incubation, turning your substrate into soup. Use >>8165901 instead.

Do you wash the rice before cooking it?
>>
>>8165696
wash 3-4 times then let it sit in water for 30 mins.
Bring to a boil with equal parts water and then lower heat, cover, and simmer for 15 mins. After 15 mins turn off the heat and let it rest for 10 mins.

>medium grain
>washing it
What you want is long grain. If you wash that medium grain, I will look for you, I will find. And I will kill you.

>decide to be lazy and just look at ingredients
>add lukewarm water, yeast, olive oil, salt and sugar into the same container and set for 10 minutes
>reread instructions
>should have only added yeast into lukewarm water, add everything else into dough after 10 minutes.
>can't be fucked should be good enough
>add everything together
>my dough looks like pancake mix
>i actually used correct amounts in recipe, turns out recipe is just shit
>add another cup of flour to actually turn it into a dough
>knead the shit out of it
>cook sauce in the meantime
>try and find oregano
>only find taco premix, cinmamon and nutmeg
>call roommate as to where the fuck all the spices have gone
>turns out they invited people over to do a 'spice' challenge
>apparently too hipster to do the cinnamon challenge i fucking hate my room mate
>nothing to add to sauce
>wait a little bit for dough to settle
>nothing happens
>get a rolling pin and stretch it out
>i have 2 big pizzas worth of dough
>cut dough in half and roll out 2 pizzas
>i know i have enough sauce
>cover pizza with sauce, just enough to do fill them both
>get cheese
>one bag is moldy, fucking roommate decided to open another bag instead of finishing the previously opened one
>non moldy bag is half full of grated mozzarella
>not enough to cover pizza
