Eurofag here, Around here Cheese croquettes are a popular appetiser/snack. It's basically a very thick cheesy sauce, set in the fridge, then breadcrumbed and deepfried. So you have a gooey center in a crunchy jacket.

I ate one of these badboys in Greece with feta cheese used for the cheese-mixture filling and it was INSANELY good. A good feta cheese has an acid STRONG flavor. Your store-bought cheap feta is like store-bought cheap normal cheese, not ripened enough so they can sell it cheaper and thusly with less flavor.

They're kinda weird, the sliders at least. I assume they have frozen patties on a flat top with diced onions that are cooked too long. The bread is the strangest part. It seems like it's warmed under a heatlamp and the grease is what makes it all spongy and wet. It's like biting into air throughout the whole burger, just melts in your mouth.

Might go apply to one and work one shift to see what goes on there. I've only worked on fast food job and that was on the frontlines, so I think it'd be funny to go back to one as an experienced cook.

So /ck/, I'm in th position to influence some major McDonald's menu changes in the near future. I'm an MBA student at USC and my midterm consists of recommending some new items for McDonald's or bringing back some old promotions. I will be presenting to their VP or Marketing.

One problem: I don't eat this shit.

I have a couple of concepts including permanently placing the McRib on the menu, making a 50pc McNugget bucket, bringing back the Super Size option, or introducing some sliced meats options (think Arby's).

But I figured /ck/ would know better. Thought?

Who /claypots/ here? I know we have a cast iron meme here but I feel like clay pots are much more appropriate for curries, stews, sauces unlike cast iron. I know it's popular for making curries in india and probably other parts of the world.

I'd like to have lentils put into the food rotation more often, but I can't eat soup 24/7 and that's all I got.
