I need some decent recipes for scrambled eggs; specifically, measurements.
I can make these things, and understand I can add basically anything I want, but no matter how much of anything I DO add, it still tastes completely bland.
Maybe I'm just used to the eggs I used to get from my abuelos. My abuelo raises chickens and I used to get fresh free-range eggs from them all the time. They've stopped producing recently and I had to go back to store-bought.
Anyway, any help is appreciated.

You're not adding enough salt and pepper.
As for additives, I love scallions in mine.

will I get funny looks if I go to a bar and order a vodka martini, shaken not stirred?
I've always wanted to try one...
>>8198837
Yes you will look like a fedora. Real martinis are made with Gin. Also, stirring produces a better martini anyway.

but I like vodka

Bond's drinking habits are based pretty much on whatever Fleming was guzzling the day he was writing it.
What do you get from the gas station in the middle of the night? I usually get an ice cream sandwich or some tootsie rolls.

Serious question to vegans: why do you freakin fake the food of the common populace in vegan versions instead of just eatin your vegs and shit in silence?
>>8193410
Its primarily marketed for "vegans" that want to enjoy the newest health fad I guess. And to convert nonvegans.
>>8193410
Imitation food eases the sudden transition to a purely vegan diet. Also pretty good for a prank.

Is there a knife guide anywhere? Like what brands are good in certain price ranges, or like a flowchart of "What knife should I buy?"

Anyone else have to stare at this for a long time before realizing that it wasn't wooden knives on a grey counter?
Would it make more sense to buy a nice knife, or try to sharpen my shitty ones that haven't been maintained in literal decades?

After some of these Ramsay threads I watched some Kitchen Nightmares (German, so I've never seen it before).
Where exactly do the 50% spite come from? If anything he's pretty nice. If someone calls himself a cook and wants peoples money, he better delivers. It's no excuse that shit quality food isn't broken/disfunctional, like shit quality products are in most other branches.
If I was a cook and dedicated a good time of my life to that profession and I'd see these """cooks""" i'd be pretty mad as well.
He's never mad at people who don't deserve it though, like the waiters.
The overly dramatic production really gets on my nerves though.

Are there any fast food places that actually consistently deliver burgers like advertised?
No, that's unrealistic. Teens and immigrants can't replicate what photographers do to that stuff in a studio

It's not too late, man. Cut back and quit while you fucking can. People have recovered from worse.
I'm almost a week sober, and despite being tired and a bit irritable most of the time, I otherwise feel fucking amazing already compared to the first day. I've been drinking to the point of BO drunk for nearly 7 years.

Now that this is apparently back and seemingly permanent, what does /ck/ think? Also taco bell hot sauce general discussion.
>>8197899
Diablo sauce is just flavorless watery goop. Most taco bell sauces taste as bad as canned enchilada sauce. I always get two big handfuls of sauce whenever I go there, and I always end up throwing them away.
>>8197899
Its pretty good, but for some reason it seemed marginally hotter when it was on for a limited time only release
I'm guessing they toned it down a notch to appeal a larger market so it was more profitable
>>8197928
Since when are taco bell hot sauces profitable? If anything, cashiers always give too much away instead of asking you how much you want. This leads to higher than average food costs for the restaurant, which in the long term, leads to the company watering down their sauces even more. It's a vicious cycle.
Fuckin hell popeyes... $5 for all this
