Where/what was your worst restraunt experience?
eh, nothing too major, but there was one time i went to an Old Chicago and waited 30 minutes and had literally ZERO service. no water or anything, multiple employees walked right past us
or a really shitty, overcooked steak from Applebees with the worlds saddest looking mushrooms. tipped $0.02 because fuck them
>Went to my favorite takeout place
>Order the 5 tenders meals, extra ranch, with a side of french fries and hush puppies
>Get it home
>One of the tendies is half the size of the other
I went back there, threw the ranch at the menu board, and haven't been back since.
Fuck them
>Hungover as christ
>Living in the middle of Seoul at the time, between banpodong and gangnamgu
>Nobody speaks any english whatsoever
>Go into a soup house and pantomime drinking, and then painful head and stomach motions
>Koreans are fucking great at understanding this
>They bring me out some soup, presumably some "hangover cure" bullshit
>It's literally a chicken breast still on the ribcage in hot water
>No seasonings
>No spices
>No anything
>Just dry chicken on the bone in hot water
Worst 3500W I spent
I just went to a noodle shop next door for my hangover food after. Mulnaengmyeon is a fucking godsend
Do American really drink beverage at every meal?
>>8190883
>leaving food residue in your mouth
retard
Yeah. Americans drink stuff when we sit down to eat stuff. Personally I mostly drink water, when we eat with our families milk is very common, when we go out to eat at restaurants we usually drink beer or other alcoholic beverages or soda. When we eat breakfast we usually drink milk, coffee or juice, especially of oranges, but apple or grape juices are also common.
I can't really drink & eat at the same time for some reason. I try to do it with wine though but I have to concentrate to not forget.
I made this spaghetti.
Would you eat it, /ck/?
>>8197360
I HATE IT
Probably
>>8197360
hell yea
I love Jets Pizza turbo bread
Hnnnggg.. .that looks so good I could devour the entire thing. But I would feel soooo guilty afterwards
>grease
I prefer to love the Jets Pizza Jet Bread with bacon
Japanese Hamubagu.
>>8182152
never had it. Does it taste different or is it just a bunless variant
>>8182363
Nigga then sandwich is the variant, hamburgers weren't eaten on a bun in Hamburg
>>8182369
A Hamburg steak isn't a hamburger, you retard.
I don't eat chips or ice cream anymore.
It's a food addiction that puts deep cuts in my pockets and I got kinda tired of it.
Doritos used to be my favorite chips and I'd buy maybe 2 bags a day? A sometimes family size and finish it off in one sitting. That's just way too much. I have no self control, obviously. Even now, I crave Doritos, but it's been about 2 years since I've eaten them.
Of course, I have workarounds. Like, I eat kettle chips but not often. And I eat frozen yogurt.
What foods have you permanently cut from your diet?
soda/pop
literally liquid junk food
>>8203103
I don't do fast food or snack food anymore, and very rarely eat cheese.
fried foods.
But, damn I do love me some corn chips, with pico and guac.
Anyone on /ck/ have an eating disorder?
I mostly browse /ck/ just for food porn and don't eat much. Anyone else know this feel?
>>8202491
>food porn
>/ck/
You've come to the wrong place my skinny friend.
>>8202496
Junk food is what I look for. That burger thread is off the charts.
I mean some fine dining porn would be amazing also, but, hey, I take what I can get.
Daily reminder flat crust pizza isn't real pizza.
shut the fuck up
>>8198190
first post best post
gonna post some 'go za? As if you faggots have any tastebuds?
Do Americans actually do this?
Yeah we eat food, shocking I know.
>>8203911
I'm sure you know that hotdogs exist, and that here in america we bread and fry many things, so I'm not sure why you should be surprised
You probably come from a country that eats fish from a tube and gets raped by Muslims. Fuck out of here.
I just ordered one of these and decided to make a thread so that you all could judge me.
Nice afro pick
>>8203577
My thought exactly!
not the best idea, not the worst idea
I just get my onions pre-chopped
Share what you eat at late night.
Eggs and tater tots for late night breakfasty crave
Explain to me now how you're going to eat this food. I am new to eating eggs, only have been eating them for five years, and I would like to know how people eat them in their own way because I only eat them on toast
>>8199265
I like crunchy salty shit late at night. Not sure if that's from malnutrition or something else. I like anything that goes with a sour cream dip.
>>8199295
Well, sunny side up is great if you haven't tried it. On toast I mean. Otherwise I like soft boiled eggs. Just add salt. Suppose you could make some deviled eggs at that point, and people will say you're strange.
Can you think of a worse way to prepare a burger than boiling it?
Putting American """""cheese""""" on it
>>8199341
Slow cooker?
>>8199341
is this real? wouldn't the burger just fall apart in the water or is this a sous vide thing?
What is the average tip percentage when going out to eat?
I'm trying to create a system that creates tiers of how much I should tip given varying circumstances.
For instance the scale of the restaurant. Is it fine dining? Is it casual fast dining? Fast food? To-go pick up? Delivery?
I know the starting tip is 20% but what are some other factors that can make or break the tip?
Any of you coo/ck/s can help me?
Does anyone else on /ck/ do this already and can give me some pointers?
Thanks in advance!

tipping isn't expected in my country
>>8197537
That's sad, you realize waiters and waitresses only make $0.05 - $2.50 max right? How are they supposed to feed their families, pay their bills, and survive on that? If nobody tipped at all they would be forced to find a better job or go homeless. It's fucked up how America is the only country addressing this issues.
Tipping is not mandatory here.
To me it's basically rounding the bill up.
Like if it costs 18, I just give a 20 bill and leave it at that.
Is Japanese food really healthy and delicous like Japanese themselves boasted ?
>>8193186
yes it is, but only if you dont overdo it
Most food is healthy assuming you dont eat a bathtub of it.
>>8193186
>healthy
plenty of untrimmed fat, animal fat used for cooking, thick fatty cuts of meat, sugar and sodium
>delicious
Japanese food never comes out offensively tasteless or shitty, but the flipside is that it is never stunningly delicious. Aside from sushi, I almost never crave any Japanese dish, which is strange.
