hello /ck/ so i'm sat here munching on a bag of mixed raw nuts like some feral squirrel and it got me thinking, what is your personal favorite raw nut?

mine has to be the Brazil nut but closely followed by cashews/

Is it a physically tiring job? My friend has been working there full-time for a month and has lost some weight. Wasn't overweight to begin with.

Do you get free tea?

Are the shift leads huge dicks like they are in retail/fast food?

Is it a standalone shop or one of those inside-a-mall shops?

this tastes like absolute trash but its the only thing that helps me poop besides those powder laxatives

>He doesn't snack on a fruit salad for his fiber intake.

200g of Granny Smith apples contain 5.6g of dietary fiber, only 116 calories.

100g of blackberries contain 5.3g of dietary fiber, 43 calories.

Apples are cheap as fuck right now, by the way.

Grapes have a bit of fiber too, but not as much.

This really boosts things. Lots of fiber. Available at Whole Foods.

I struggle with getting regular poops out also. I eat healthy, and have a lot of salad, but that doesn't help much. Fruit is a good source of fiber also, but it's really easy to go over your sugar allotment eating too much fruit so it can only serve as a boost.

ive tried literally everything my man

kimchi, kefir, sauerkraut, etc
40g of fiber from plants a day
balancing soluble and insoluble fiber
those super probiotic pills you can get
i only drink water anyway

literally only wheat bran, and to a lesser extent oat bran helps me to poop without any help from those water absorbing powders

Yep, skirt steak is best. Flank steak could be an alternative but it's not as good IMHO.

So i got a pressure cooker, what are some decent recipes that actually use the pressure cooker part and aren't just slow cooking something for a day and a half?
21 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Any recipe that you'd normally simmer or boil in a pot, only it takes 1/3 the time (roughly).
>>
>>8196300
Yeah, made Rendang Beef curry in it a few times, more curious about bulk recipes to make once or twice a week since I'm lazy as fuck, but are reasonably dense ie not stews and that sort of stuff.
>>
>>8196331
The problem is that there are literally too many things to suggest.

Just about any kind of soup, stew, tomato-based pasta sauce, chili, curry, etc. could be done.

Also: stews can be as thick or as runny as you want. Just adjust the amount of liquid you add.

Well anons, I'm going on a diet.

Lets get a Favorite Diet Dishes thread going.

generally aiming for lower carb, higher protein, high fiber greens.

Rice dishes are very easy to make and enhance into masterpieces. They also keep well for leftovers.

I'd suggest getting a rice of your choosing and making budgeted versions of paellas, risottos, curries/panangs, etc.

What do you think of meal-kit services like Blue Apron or Home Chef?

I tried Blue Apron for a couple of weeks, and was genuinely impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the recipes. What I didn't like:

- inflexible; one dish a week was seafood, and I don't like seafood
- some ingredients are exotic/proprietary things that aren't easily duplicated
- pressure to cook all perishables before they go bad, and maybe I just feel like takeout one night!
- lots of waste from all the individually packaged items

I don't really mind the cost, but I can't see myself sticking with one of these services for an extended period of time. What do you think?

Seems like it might be worth it if money isn't a problem for you. I've considered it for a while since I live alone and cooking for one can be slightly difficult. Usually end up cooking in bulk and eating the same meal for a week, which can get pretty boring.

Price is the only thing keeping me from trying it out. I'm not strapped for cash but it still seems expensive.
>>
>>8195848

Yeah. I also live alone, and planning all my meals and buying proper quantities of ingredients gets old really fast... but I do think that at least connects me to actual cooking, whereas with these meal kits, it often feels more like mere assembly than cooking.

>- inflexible; one dish a week was seafood, and I don't like seafood
They allow you to pick what meats you like before you order.

I tried a free trial of blue apron and i loved it, all three things i got were great. even though i super fucked up the directions for the pesto for one, the meat and bread on the sandwich it belonged in was still really good, and it made me realize that i love eggplant.

i am, however, a massive poorfag and cannot afford it at all.
