Whats in your cuboards anons?
Im in the market for new plates and figuring out what I need.
Also, what is the ideal plate size? Like, plates big enough for Thanksgiving but not too big for a couple of pancakes
>pic related
I had no idea people ate soup and cereal out of these things

What the fuck is a cuboard?
>>8256444
>inb4 spoonfeeding

British slang pronunciation of cub hoard
Give me one reason why cauliflower isn't garbage
>>8255814
giardinera
It's pretty good in lasagna and stir fries.
It may be garbage to you. Why do you think everyone shares your opinion? I really only like it pickled. Alton Brown's curry pickled cauliflower is totally awesome.
I ate grilled chicken that had been sitting out for 24 hours.
What are the consequences of this, if any?
How long has it been? Your question will be answered within like 8 hours of eating it
>>8255779
I ate it very recently- I need to know if I should induce vommiting
>>8255787
It'll be more interesting if you don't, but it's probably a good idea
Hi /ck/! It's 3am, I'm hungry af, I want a hot meal but I can't use knives (they're all in a safe, my parents are cray), I'm a terrible cook and I just wanna make something easy. Delete if not appropriate, never been to this board before.
>(they're all in a safe, my parents are cray)
Going to need elaboration here.

Typical bongs.
Whatcha got in terms of ingredients & cookware?
I want to make a turducken for Christmas /ck/.
I was thinking about a big sous vide and then broiling it to crisp the skin. what do you think?
>>8255725
Turducken to me is like hyphenated names. PICK ONE YOU FUCK.
>>8255725
Turducke is extremely overrated. Don't do it. The only reason to do it is for technical prowess and bragging rights, and there are way, WAY more delicious things that take as much or more skill to make, most also look much more appetizing than cramming three birds into each other.
>>8255725
OP trust me just don't bother. If you want to have variety for Christmas just make a regular Turkey with stuffing, a beef wellington (Gordon Ramsys is actually delicious) and maybe some pan roasted chicken breasts served with sauteed mushrooms over the top. Turducken is overrated as fuck.
>tfw live in a dorm
>only cooking implement is a microwave
pls help me. i'm tired of wasting money on delivery and fast food and shit
I can cook normally and I like doing so, but I can't really do shit with just a microwave. Except make pasta
>>8255713
just use the dorm kitchen you autist
Get a hotplate or a small portable butane burner. I have the latter and it's really great. Then you can make one-skillet meals. Alternatively you can eat more sandwiches, salads, and cold stuff. You can use your microwave for soups and canned foods.
>>8255794
This. You can make p much anything with a hotplate. Stews, pasta, chili, pan seared meats.
So I have free utilities in my current place. I never really abused it, but since I'm moving out soon I need to take advantage of it.
What are some foods that require long amounts of mostly idle cooking time, atleast 3+ hours. Only thing I can think of is oven cooked pulled pork, which takes about 6-12 hours depending on size.
Sous vide anything, brisket, pulled pork, corned beef, stews, carnitas... Idk man
>>8255552
>Sous vide
Don't have one of those machines sadly
I don't understand. You want to use a bunch of extra gas/electricity just because you don't have to pay for it? You are going to slow-cook food for the sole purpose of taking advantage?
this is the smallest bottle of coke ive ever seen...
that's one lewd filename
>>8255479
brace yourself
>>8255484
now i know i could DEFINITELY fit that whole thing up my ass
but i wouldnt...
Let's talk blenders /ck/. I need a new one for my morning shakes. My old one was a nutrabullet which sucked and was a bitch to clean.
>Best brand
>Best model
>What do you use your blender for most often
>>8255321
Vitamix
Rocks ass, never had a problem blending anything.
Use it for milkshakes, smoothies, soups, grinding coffee beans (don't drink enough coffee to justify a burr blender).
>>8255321
>Rocks ass
AvE did a teardown of the Vitamix. The damn thing is built like a tank. You can't go wrong with it.
sup /ck/!
whats for dinner?
im having some chicken tendies and fries
this delicious meal only cost me 25 Good Boy Points
show me what you're having!
>>8255243
I'm about to make goulash as soon as I'm done typing this. But what is up with watching America hating NFL football when there is hockey on?
>>8255243
Couldn't you just have made an ordinary post instead of bringing that shitposting meme garbage into it?
>>8255291
b-but... this is my dinner
How do i git gud at using a Knife? I started a new job recently and they looked at me pretty funny when i started cutting some tomatoes saying things like im going to cut my hand off. any recommended guides for this?
>>8255140
Uh, d-d-on't c-c-cut an appendage off?
>>8255140
Basic shit
I made this deep dish pizza yesterday from scratch, except the sauce was from a local take out place.
Post pics, tips, toppings...
>tfw you make a pizza alone and make a thread about it but no one replies
Looks delicious op 10/10 would eat 2 of them.
Anyone ever just soak lentils overnight and just eat them without doing anything else to them? I used to do it with oats just wondering if it works the same.
It won't work, you'll still have dry lentils at the end.
I soak them so they cook faster in the pressure cooker. that's it.
>>8255081
What if I wait even longer? Or do they just have to be boiled?
Why does oatmeal taste good with water, but regular cereal tastes so bad? I mean, it's so awful, like somehow worse than just eating it dry.
Fruity pebbles do all right with water.
I cook mine in milk.
>>8254925
>Why does oatmeal taste good with water
Debatable.
Why the fuck would you eat cereal with water? Are you that poor?
