>Go to Italy
>Expect to eat well because >Italian food in Italy is so much better XD
>Go to places recommended by an Italian friend and place with good valorations in tripadvisor
>It is the same Italian food than the one where I live but just with more cheese, more grease and shit quality meat.
>tfw I felt for the Italian food meme

so tomorrow I've got an interview for a job at a local Subway, figured I'd ask around /ck/ for stories and experiences from people who have worked for them to help prepare me for what's to come
You need to be 18+ to post here.

I'm 26 actually, although this is the first job I've had in a couple years
> ages ago 2004. Still in high school working at subway in evenings.
> One night, big bro douche comes in with a friend, holding gym bags and protein shake.
> orders cold cut trio
> Put meat on ask what veggies he wants
> He leans in and says "chicken"
> Confused, I remind him that more meat is the cost of an extra sub
> He asks for BBQ rib on top of the chicken
> Then fucking asks for pepperoni. Meatballs. No fucking vegetables.
> Make sandwich.
> No veggies, just dead animals
> Wrap that shit. Ring it up.
> $47.95
> Gym bro flips out
> Starts yelling how i ripped him off.
> I open the sandwich and ask him to remove a few things
> Asks me to remove the bread.
> Just fucking slab of meat. Unsure if he's fucking with me
> Ring it up still $47.95
> He's pissed as shit
> Yelling and cussing. My coworker is eating cookies in the back and laughing his ass off from a distance.
> I unhappily unwrap the breadlesd sandwich and take off half of the shit
> New price $23.76
> He buys it and leaves
> Never saw him again
I bought a pork roast for pulling and when I opened it up the bottom edge was still covered in skin. I cut it off and was going to toss it, but I suddenly got the feeling that I was going to miss out on one of those surprisingly delicious old-world dishes made from parts that are usually thrown out.
What would /ck/ do with this little slab of fatty pig skin?
>>8278615
cut it into small strips, dehydrate it, then deep fry it
that's how you make pork rinds
make pork scratchings. use google for a recipe/cooking instructions. you will not be disappointed.
>>8278615
make sure you scorth it proper

REEEEEEEEEEE
That's almost as bad as the coconut video. If anyone has it, please post it. It's some lady trying to bore a hole into a coconut she's holding in one hand with a fuckhuge knife in the other.
I got these two beef paddies. Whats the best way to prepare them?
I can put them in the oven or make them in a pan. Which would be better? And whats a good temprature/time to make them?
Sorry new to cooking and english is not my first language. They are around 160 grams each.
>>8278114
Medium heat in a pan. Cook each until brown. Now put one on backing tray, pour a1 sauce on it. Put other patty on top and pour a1 over it. Place in oven on 280° for twenty minutes. Sprinkle some bleu cheese on top and serve.
>>8278114
Pan. No question about it.
>>Temperature/time
Get the pan very hot. Put the patties in the pan. Wait until you can see juices at the top of the patties. Flip them. Cook until the juices run clear.
>>8278114
best way is in the oven. Take a grill put them on it put them in a preheated oven and press them in regular intervals to get the fat out. After about 50 minutes they should be perfect!
Hey /ck/ I just met this girl shes a fan of fine quality dining she and I are going on a dinner date but I really want to take her somewhere nice she deserves it. Can you recommend some places around the inland empire in California? I would be willing to go as far Los Angeles.
>>8277440
the salted pig in riverside is pretty good. Idk if you're going to find "fine dining" in the IE. I'm from SB, it's pretty ghetto around here m8.
>>8277440
>Inland Empire
you're a long way from good food
In the IE your best bet is a pricey chain restaurant.
There's a Yard House at Victoria Gardens among a bunch of other shit.
Have any of you tried Soylent?
I'm thinking about drinking two Soylents a day (800 calories), and a small dinner of something with high protein like tofu, and some greens, and losing weight that way.
I have a habit of stress eating and I think the only way to get rid of it is to have a set diet and to not waver from it. I have the ability for self control - I used to be anorexic even. But I just don't really think about all the food I'm putting into my mouth. This will save me from thinking about it. I'm excited. I have a lot of junk food I have to finish off first though. Maybe I'll donate it to a homeless shelter to get it over with.
Helloooooo?
>should I drink this vile concoction brewed by STEM autists that gives people horrific gastrointestinal problems because I'm too lazy to pay attention to what I eat
>>8277469
Does it really though? I heard the bars people had issues with, but not the drink? It has really good reviews on Amazon.
What do you do with extra egg whites or yolks? I'm always making cakes and ending up with extra of one of those and never have any idea how to use them up.
I don't like just waiting them.
>>8277301
>waiting
Wasting
I feed them to the chickens while singing, "Return to Sender."
I just fry it up and eat it, but I'm not also eating cake constantly so mabye you need to watch your cholesterol and calories more than I do
I got some Avocados at home and feel like experimenting with them. Never used them for anything Else but in sandwiches, in salads or as Guacamole. Anyone know any recipies possibly in cooked dishes?
There's a lot of avocado desserts that are nice.
I didn't have desserts in mind. I might look into that as well.
But I'd like to use avocados in a main dish. Don't know what would fit well and cant just test it out myself as I'm on a tight budget.
>>8276834
>tight budget
>avacados
ok m8
Gonna show /ck/ my chili recipe.
Start to finish 45mins.
Start by cooking some diced bacon in a heavy-bottomed pot.
>>8276649
I'm interested in seeing your recipe, but I can tell you right now, that if you're only simmering your chili for 45 minutes, it's not good. Chili is meant to simmer for a long period of time, until everything is amalgamated.
Next I season some ground beef with plenty of salt pepper and cumin. I roll it into meatballs.
Flourescent lights in the kitchen makes things look not as colorful on this camera unfortunately.
>>8276655
I've made some pretty good chili in about 45 minutes.
Is Grilled Cheese overrated or underrated?
Properly rated
>>8276575
Extremely overrated
both. A quality grilled cheese made with good bread and 50% asiago, 25% applewood smoked cheddar, 25% parmesan rregiano is pretty godly
What is the deal with this piece of shit?
some people with inferior genetics don't like the taste of it
>>8276381
This
Inferior genes
It's nice
Share what you eating right now /ck/
I will start with chicken dippers and cookies
