what does /ck/ think of sriracha
It's ok. I prefer the chili garlic stuff from the same brand that comes in a plastic jar with a flat lid.
>>8285924
this. it still has arthritis inducing shit in it, but it's the best choice.
>>8285913
its ok for the first 10 or so times
but then after that i just cant stand it
Is there anything more convenient than these? You can have a nice sandwich with just some bread and mayo or whatever you want, you can melt some parmesan cheese and sunday gravy to make chicken parmesan, you can add country gravy and serve with mashed potatoes for chicken fried chicken, you can can slice it up and eat as strips, or you could even cut it up and add it to shitty ramen noodles to turn it into a real soup
One of my favorite things to do is cut into bits and then put it in a bucket with hot sauce and shake up till its all covered, then put it on a sub bun with some blue cheese drizzle for my patented buffalo chicken sub

I stopped eating processed foods like that so I don't get cancer
>>8285866
Yeah I'm sure that "fresh" meat and milk from the supermarket is cancerfree. as well as those vegetables, they are so colorful and organic, the label even says so! :D

>wanting to get old
for what purpose
What are some easily avoided/upgraded kitchen pleb filters?
Pre-peeled/crushed garlic
Why is it wrong to use pre-ground pepper but totally acceptable to use pre-ground cinnamon, allspice, coriander, cumin etc.
Flavors or anykind
Oatmeal raisin is BEST cookie. Deal with it anons.
>hey guys I got the best idea for a cookie
>we take oats, and mix them together with brown sugar, butter, some flour, and then bake em
>they're automatically chewy and pretty hardy because the oats help bind things together
>yeah man that sounds great but like what if we add raisins
>Make oatmeal cookies
>Replace butter with apple sauce, reduce sugar by half
Why did I do this.
>>8285785
What was the texture like? It's hard to tell from the pic
So how the fuck do I clean these cast iron pans?
My mum handed me down some pans but they have this disgusting thick greasy layer around it.
I took the smaller one and used steel wool and made progress, but it seriously looks like this shit has been sitting behind a shed in sludge.
Obviously, picture is not mine
chainmail
>>8284946
>steel wool
Is this a troll? Don't do that. Apply some heat should melt the grease then simply wipe out with rag or paper towel. Never scratch your pan and never use soap.
>>8284952
This. Or just let it cool down, run some water in the pan, if hard to get out stuck on crap, use a sponge and some soap, don't listen to retards who reject soap on cast iron.
Do alcohol calories matter?
yes.
>>8284892
they will get stored as fat if you consume too many, yes
They do
>inb4 some retarded faggot comes in posturing about how "all calories are the same" in an attempt to look really smart and "own" someone
We know. You don't have to do the typical 4chan thing.
>never been a banana lover
>just found these
>cant stop eating them
good shit. idk how i missed these until now.
Ya I was addicted to those when I went to Thailand.
>>8284484
Apple bananas are awesome
>>8284484
I'd love to try out Blue Java bananas. They're not blue when they're ripe, but I've heard that they taste like vanilla ice cream.
Gros Michel seems nice too, these should taste sorta like artificial banana flavouring. This was the most common cultivar until Panama disease made it unsuitable for growing on a commercial scale. Cavendish was considered a junk banana until this happened.
How did cola become the default soda? Soda can be made in any flavor your can imagine, any popular flavor or mankind, and yet this seemingly random caramel flavored black sludge became the number one face of soda and most relevant flavor of all time, with only lemon lime being closely behind it?
Great question , it makes no sense
I can't stand cola, or really any dark brown drink whatsoever. That includes cola, root beer, Dr. Pepper/Pibb, coffee, and sweet tea. I wish I liked them, because I fall asleep on the job constantly.
Georgia or something.
things that should be a thing
gravy bagels
>Biscuits and gravy hold the biscuits
>$5
What a fucking jew restaurant. A bagel wouldnt even go well with that, they're too tough in comparison to a bagel.
>I don't wanna spend the time and money making biscuits, I'll just use a bagel. Nobody will notice!
>>8282682
well i more want chicken fried steak and gravy on a bagel, they make better sandwiches than bisquits
also i just put gravy on a bagel and it was pretty good
Watcha eating lads?
Im having a good filet mignon
>>8281962
That's not fillet mignon and if it is you fucked it up beyond recognition, Nigel.
>>8281962
at least the pan sauce looks proper
>>8282569
>ITT - b8 and newfags biting
You don't even have to be a weeb to enjoy Jap curry.
>>8283201
lucky i live hawaii and can get katsu curry at any plate lunch place, or japanese curry chains like curry house
Whats so special about Jap curry?
How does it fair against Thai curry?
>>8283232
They're totally different, not even worth comparing them.
Convince me there is something on Earth better tasting than this shit right here.
>>8278671
Sriracha is good for when you don't want vinager taste in your food.
>>8278677
Vinegar is a good condiment though, I don't get why so people complain about it in tabasco. With that said tabasco products are way overpriced, though still nice.
There is none better.

I'm going to be in San Francisco for my birthday this year (in a couple of weeks). What are some of the best restaurants to go to for such an occasion? I go to SF about 6 times a year, but I'm usually only there for a couple of days at the most, and it's all business, so I haven't had a chance to really explore. I'll have the whole day off on my birthday, so I can go and have lunch and dinner anywhere I like. Give me some awesome suggestions, pls, especially unusual places.
>>8277579
Budget?
>>8277581
Any amount.
I always splurge on my birthday. But, that doesn't mean I necessarily have to go someplace that's over the top expensive, I just want to go somewhere enjoyable or fun, and eat really good food and have a good time.
>>8277606
Piss off, m8
Lost my pregnant wife 5 years ago to suicide. Not the only reason I'm a drunk but it definitely plays a part. I try to stay positive and not dwell on it, though I do cry like a bitch sometimes over it
Jesus fucking christ anon

What
This isnt a good first impression of /ck/. Like ive never been here and this is the first thing i see.
Where do you eat when you're on a road trip in rural flyover country? Town diners? Bars? Chain restaurants? Fast food? What do you order?
Just curious what other road warriors grab when they're in the wasteland.
>>8287199
TACO BELL AND SUBWAY. I DONT RISK ANYTHING ELSE IN FLYOVER LAND.
>>8287203
I think both of those are fairly risky, particularly Subway. When I was a kid, I got a meatball sub at a Subway in a trucker gas station and had the shits for about a week after. Plus, all of their meat has that watery sweat all over it. The smell of their "fresh" bread alone is enough to make me retch.
>>8287210
IVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH SUBWAY. I HEAR SIMILAR THINGS OF TACO BELL GIVING PEOPLE THE RUNS. IVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THAT EITHER. I THINK MOST OF THE COMPLAINERS ARE JUST NANCY BOYS WHO CANT HANDLE ANYTHING SPICIER THAN RICE
