Make a couple meatballs for a snack :3
Increase all ingredients by 1/3rd and have delicious extras

>not just making the recipe with 2 lbs instead

What's /ck/'s go-to hot sauce?
I usually have this fine lady right here, but lately she just doesn't feel spicy enough.
get this and thank me later
I watched some special many years ago about hot sauce, and at one point they toured this one guy's house who supposedly had the world's largest hot sauce collection. His favorite? Original Tabasco Sauce. It only has three ingredients: red pepper, vinegar, and salt (the peppers are grown on the same island where it's made and the island also has its own salt mine). It seems that simplicity is best.
El yuc and Texas Pete. Mainly bc that's what my kitchen stocks
Long time lurker here, my flatmate and I both love cooking and cooking shows and wanted to start a youtube channel with this new video camera I got. (I'm pretty good at video production and editing, and we both love cooking so why not)
What are your pet peeves of youtube cooking shows? What would you like to see more of?
More about the science or chemistry behind ingredients? More about the technique? More narration/description, or no narration/description? Do you like hearing about the history of the dish?
Basically I have a few ways to approach this:
>Talking, bantering, displaying our personalities
>Just one of us speaks and the other operates
>Narration
>ASMR-style, no talking at all, just cooking
>Host-style, like on TV and Jack
>Themed like "Bachelor-friendly cooking" or "What was in the fridge"-kinda style
>or...?
I'm doing this for a hobby and not for money so I'm open to being creative and fun.

Cook everything blindfolded.
>>8292118
I was thinking of an option where we have challenges each week
>can't use salt this week
>fully vegan another week
>blindfolded another week
>etc.

I am really fucking sick of eating potatoes.
What can I prepare as a general meal? Cheap is great but fuck it, not a requirement anymore.
inb4 "rice and lentils"
Something with taste.
>>8292041
How do you generally prepare your potatoes? Do you change it up or do it the same way every time?
>>8292047
Pretty much the same way every time because it takes way too much effort to turn them into hashbrowns and I don't have anything to mash them with.
Diced+fry+add eggs/vegetable/cheese
You got a crockpot? If not invest in a big one, that way you can just dump a pork butt and some sauce in it and let it sit until you have pulled pork that will last you for days.
Or do the same thing with chicken breasts and buffalo sauce, or beef stock/chuck/pearl onions for tips and rice. The possibilities are endless.
It's cheap and pretty nutritious. I feel a lot healthier when I eat it.
>>8291896
Where to cop? Do you roast?
fuck, the crows have learned to shitpost
>>8291901
I live in a pretty nice neighborhood, so I usually just sneak into my neighbors yard after I hear them putting out more birdseed.
I need some help fu/ck/ers I need to get redpilled on black tea how should I prepare this shit also which do you prefer?

Twining's bagged tea? Uh, put hot water just off the boil in cup, put tea bag in water, steep 3-5 minutes. Adjust to taste.
Throw away Earl Grey, or give to some vegetarian chick at work or something. It'll go with her cupboard of herbal teas with stupid flavors. Bergamot a shit.
I like loose Assam black teas (pretty much all your "breakfast" blends). Sometimes Darjeeling black is good. Steep in a teapot, infuser, french press, or use a disposable bag. Never squeeze steeped leaves. That's where the tannins live. If you want stronger flavor, use more tea instead. Just follow the directions on the box/tin. Have fun exploring the wide world of exciting black tea.
>>8291852
thanks anon helpful as fuck
>>8291852
Fuck you, earl grey is the best.
Well it looks like I'll be spending Thanksgiving alone this year, most likely eating at a Denny's. Does anyone know if they do a Thanksgiving meal and how it is? Or should I just get my usual?
You can get turkey and mashed potatoes, but last time I was there they didn't have a dedicated thanksgiving meal, no. Is Bob Evans an.option? Go there instead.
>>8291546
just go to cracker barrel
or get a hungryman turkey and dressing dinner so you can cry while you eat in private
>>8291546
I would get a catered meal from the local Honeybaked or grocery, or better yet, a Boston market kind of roasted chicken place, or even a cracker barrel. Dennys? Oh no. They're not actually cooking there at all.
Just make yourself something semi-frozen, partially convenient, partially cooked, at home, curl up with a nice movie and have a whole bottle of Gerwurtrimmer with it, followed by some new Pumpkin Spice Baileys.
What's /ck/'s opinion of imitation crab meat?
it's perfectly good we just got too much!!!
>>8291544
>we just got too much!!!
How much? As it happens I require 1/3 of a ton of imitation crab meat.
Fish hot dogs
Decided to have hot pot on a whim and went out and bought a ton of ingredients:
-sliced beef, pork, and fish balls
-enokitake and shiitake mushrooms
-bean sprouts and chinese cabbage
-tofu, rice cakes, and tofu sheets
I haven't decided what kind of broth and dip to make, though. I have a divided hot pot and I was thinking one mildly spicy broth, and one clear. As for dip, I normally use sesame paste mixed with soy sauce and scallions, but I'm out of sesame paste. Any ideas or recipes?
>>8291407
For the spicy broth, I was thinking of either a kelp+anchovy base with gochujang and red pepper flakes, or stir frying some sichuan peppercorns, ginger, then adding pic related with chicken stock.
>>8291429
What model do you have? I've been wanting to buy one, as I love eating them so much and want to make my own
>>8291434
I don't remember which asian grocer I bought it from, but you can probably them at any large-ish place.
>mom makes meatloaf
>see little bits of onion on the slices

Can someone describe me the taste of the In-N-Out sauce in detail?
its basically just russian dressing
Its literally Thousand Island dressing with a bit more vinegar/lemon juice.
thousand island dressing
>spend all day last year preparing thanksgiving dinner
>buy a locally sourced turkey and brine it the night before
>family takes the wings and the legs and a bit of the breast and then leaves the rest of the turkey in the fridge where it remains uneaten until it spoils
why do we even bother with turkeys?
>>8290979
>family only eats dark meat
>leftovers go uneaten
I've never had this problem and I think you're trolling.
>>8290979
Tradition.
>>8291023
He's not trolling, my family is similar. Except we don't let it spoil, my dad will freeze the leftovers until they are freezer burned before he throws them out.
You have fifteen seconds to explain why you still eat meat and dairy products. Don't you care about your cardiovascular health?
>>8290855
No. I await the sweet void with patient stoicism.
