how do you feel about reheating water?
if I were to fill up a water heater, then keep reheating it every time I wanted hot water without refilling the thing could I taste the difference between water that was just poured?
I live somewhere with extremely clean tap water and have an autistically keen sense of taste
boiling removes oxygen thus making the water taste stale. Freshly drawn water only.
>>8312032
That only happens if you didnt activate water
I never put in more water than I need and if something's left over, I pour it out. Here's why in meme arrow form
>boils faster
>doesn't leave shitty stale water
>limescale doesn't form on the bottom

>tfw you were the guy with a friend who recommended she make it just to fuck with her.
We're trying to figure out what to ask next.
Eggs Benedict? She uses most of the ingredients often, surely she'll use powdered hollandaise and fuck up poaching an egg.
Tacos? Garaunteed unseasoned ground beef and large chunks of raw onion. Bonus if she uses burrito sized tortillas.
>Asking her to make complicated recipes in the hopes that she's fuck them up
I see the rationale, but I wouldn't put it past ordinary people to fuck up fairly complex dishes. If you can fuck up something simple like hors d'oeuvre or appetizers then you really don't know how to cook.
What can i make with these ingredients for dinner

I keep getting told that a pressure cooker will change my life. is this true? I generally cook large quantities and package leftovers for the week.
Would be nice to just dump ingredients into one of these before work and come home to a week's worth of food.
(Also Black Friday deals look good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16896268106&ignorebbr=1)
Pressure cooks faster. You want a slow cooker
If you're putting it in before work then you're not pressure cooking, you'll be using the slow cooking function.
Thoughts on pringles?
Imo they're disgusting abominations of this earth, especially their flavors like burger, pecan pie, etc.

Nothing you'll ever try because you wouldn't dare leave your urban bubble for fear of realizing the massive country you live in is made up of more than what /ck/ tells you.
How much of something am I allowed to eat, before returning it because I'm dissatisfied with the quality?
Up to 15%

A few mouth fulls, enough to try a little of everything. If you sent me back something half eaten I would kick off.

Share this with everyone you know, I'm going to save a lot of lives:
Diabetes is not caused by sugar, it is caused by junk food (sausage, bacon, McDonalds and whatever goes into THAT kind of food).
Sugar alone has no nutrition but it is NOT bad. White / cane sugar (sucrose), fructose are harmless. Lactose (milk) is harmless too, people aren't intolerant you just can't drink it cold (heat it up and you can drink a lot). Starch is the most harmful 'okay' sugar but not bad.
Brown sugar, wheat and all the 'hard to digest' sugars/carbs are bad. They sit in your stomach and bacteria feeds off of it.
The priority with food is this:
#1) It must not be bad for me (poisonoius)
#2) It must be nutritional
That's it. 'Junk food' is food that doesn't fulfill #1. PURE WHITE SUGAR is not bad, but it has no nutrition. PURE BROWN SUGAR is bad, it comes from wheat and it has no nutrition, it also slows the metabolism. White rice > brown rice. You don't want food that slows metabolism or worsens stomach bacteria, that is the easiest way to get disease.
Milk is good because it fulfills #1 and it has almost all nutrients, but it is bad to drink full fat milk since fat is unecessary.
Fat is bad in large quantities. Polyunsaturated fat should be avoided (nuts, seeds, most oils except coconut oil which also speed metabolism)
Protein is essential but beef is better than chicken/turkey because cows are ruminant animals. This means any bad food that cows are fed will not effect you, but if you eat a chicken fed a poor diet you will basically eat its diet yourself.
If you eat meat and it has iron, iron is bad for you so eat it with caffeine so it is inhibited.
Too many vegetables and grains are bad for you because they inhibit calcium absorption.
Cigarettes (nicotine) are okay once in a while. Good for you for similar reason to caffeine.
There is more, I learned this all from Ray Peat.
>>8312562
who the fuck is ray peat?
>>8312583
He is a guy who studied nutrition who's legit. Everyone who disagrees with him is wrong. There is a forum dedicated to him.
Nutrition is not even an opinion, he is the only one who says what food is healthy and unhealthy for people and he is old, doesn't market anything and his website is very difficult to read because it's v scientific.
Basically, good food:
fruits (only with seeds, e.g. orange juice or watermelon)
milk (1% fat)
meat (oyster, liver... no chicken unless its diet was free of grains/polyunsaturated fats)
etc...
bad food to never eat:
nuts
seeds
vegetable oil (every food today has this, he says this is the main reason we get disease, and coconut oil is rarely used even though it is the best oil)... basically anything with polyunsaturated fat
You ARE trolling, right?
What 'THAT' kind of food has is sugar. And fat. In mass quantities.
People can DEFINITELY be lactose intolerant. To break lactose into its monomers (glucose and galactose), an enzyme called Lactase is necessary. Some people's bodies slow production of this enzyme with age. Some people are born with the inability to make it.
Things that are harder to digest spike your blood glucose more slowly. This is a good thing. This is why you need fiber. This is why people who drink four gallons of Mountain Dew a day are fat.
Fat is a VERY necessary nutrient. It makes your cell walls and protects your organs.
How the hell does caffeine inhibit iron? I am familiar with the chemical structure of caffeine and am very aware to the fact that iron carries a +2 charge. This makes no sense.
Most vegetables and grains contain calcium, especially dark, leafy greens.
I DO agree that cigarettes and coffee can be good for you! If you're someone who over eats and caffeine and nicotine are appetite suppressants, maybe it's better you smoke than graze all day.
