Goose eggs are awesome for baking with. One goose egg is equal to about 3 chicken eggs, and their whites are usually denser as well. Duck eggs are great poached (and all sorts of other ways).
Anyway, it's worth it if you have the space for them. Geese are also great guard birds, they're very territorial and will chase people off your property.

My parents raise their own chickens, but the cost outweighs the benefits. The upside is that my mom treats them like pets and makes sure their feed is outstanding, which results in some high-quality eggs
