peanut butter in the jam
Cool things you've cooked thread.
Made some blackberry vanilla jam today, it gelled up very nicely and im happy with it. Ended up not straining it either since the bits give a pleasant texture

What's the best item on Steak N' Shake's menu and why is it the Frisco Melt?
>what is the best x and why is it y
fuck off with this bullshit. also, 7x7 with frisco sauce
>>8348632
Why the fuck do people like the frisco melt so much? That's regular white toast. Do you not have thousand island dressing at home?
>>8348729
This, the triple costs less and includes fries.
I personally get shakes far and away the most often because of happy hour. A happy hour shake and a kids cheeseburger combo is like $5 even with tip.
Honorable mention goes to pic related.
I actually just prefer their plain grilled cheese

Jamaican Blue Mountain. But if you were a really good son you'd be buying Da Hong Pao certified.
how do I spice up the hospital food without leaving hospital bed?
Press the nurse buzzer and demand some spices
If they refuse, get violent and scream at the top of your lungs that you can't possibly eat this without a side of marjoram
Definitely take advantage of that jam.

I suggest pulling the plug
whats with American portion sizes? In Italy i order pasta i get a reasonable serving of pasta with sauce on top and 1-2 slices of bread. In US I get massive portion of pasta slathered in sauce with large pieces of meat spread throughout and endless bread. what gives?

Yes.
1) Lamb Shoulder Stew.

>Two cans of your favorite diced tomatoes.
>One tube or can of your favorite tomato paste
>Kosher salt (2 tbs)
>Black pepper (1 tbs)
>Paprika (1 tbs)
>Cumin (2 tsp)
>Garam Masala (1 tsp)
>Nutmeg (.5 tsp)
>Coriander Powder (1 tsp)
>Chili Powder (2 tsp)
>Garlic Powder (1 tbs)
>Onion Powder (2 tbs)
>Whole Coriander (2 tbs)
>Caraway seeds (2 tbs)
>Thyme (1 tbs)

>>8350954
2) Clean, and thoroughly dry your Parsley. Preferably, let it sit out for a few minutes so it is completely dry. Remove all the stems from your Parsley.
>>8350957
3) Take half of your Parsley and chop it finely (This releases the buzzwords)
>>8350960
4)Process your “harder” spices first. In this case, we will take the Coriander and Caraway seeds and run them through the processor, so it will easily blend with our other spices later on...
>putting sugar in tomato sauce
What's wrong with these people?
>>8350831
It's to offset the bitter taste you fag
Sugar's in a lot of things. It affects flavor and makes the sauce less acrid.
Too much and itcs just nasty though.
I use ketchup
Skipping fast food meme burgers-
Whether you make them at home or get them at a NON fast food place, what is your go to cheese? I don't do dairy myself but as a chef this could net some hopefully interesting replies.
>>8350752
cant have dairy. follow your heart cheese is delicious and they have great flavors but its hella expensive
Unironically use American cheese because I dont know any better
Would appreciate tips too
>>8350752
when i used to eat meat and dairy, a nice thin circular slice of camambert (cut sideways on the wheel, you know what i mean) melted over the burger was very nice, with some caramelised onions and salad on top. it was a very special treat for me and my friends when we cooked burgers, we called it the camamburger
what do you think OP?
>find recipe for pulled pork stuffed rolls

More like turd-meric
Great for adding color to dishes. Half a tsp into my soup gives it a very rich color. Same thing for other gold color dishes.
Turmeric is one of those spices that goes bad really really really quickly once it is dried and ground. Most of it is flavorless dust.
However if you're lucky enough to have access to a good spice supplier--or better yet, you can get turmeric root from a local market--it can be very tasty.
I use turmeric in the mixture I apply to my goat chops
