Food you hate and will be real fucking disrespectful if some fucker offered it to you. Yo if anyone gave me sweet potato fries im literally gonna maintain eye contact with your bitch ass as I throw them the fuck out one by fucking one
It's really hard to make them well. Even when they're perfectly done I still find them a bit too sweet. Good old Russet potato fries for me please.
You ungrateful nigger, I can tell by your writing that you barely got your GED. Be thankful when someone gives you food because when you get your welfare cheques taken away for failing that drug test, you're going to wish you hadn't been such a little shit.

Hey banjo lips, I'll literally maintain eye contact with your bitch ass when I stomp your fucking head into the concrete
have you prayed to the one true god Alton Brown today?
I wanted to buy some of his older books on Amazon but they are STILL full price. It bothers me that books don't get cheaper over time but I guess there's no incentive to move the extra stock of a book that already sold really well.
Time to check eBay

What is grimace supposed to be?
I always connected his name to gristle, as in the weird purplish-connective tissue that one would find in the old style chicken mcnuggets.

I need help with something, quickly /ck/.
I want to buy my parents a coffeemaker for christmas because theirs apparently broke down months ago and they've been making coffee ever since by just pouring hot water into the top part holding the grinded coffee beans while just having it sit directly over a cup.
The thing is, I don't drink coffee and have absolutely no idea what makes a good coffeemaker, if that even is such a thing. Does it depend on what they use to make coffee? Is anything over 100$ just a straight rip off? I don't know what to get.
For reference, I think they use some nabob organic or whatever for their coffee.
This is /ck/ related, right?
>>8357267
wish I could help, have you tried asking a magic 8 ball?
>>8357307
no, but I'll give it a shot.
Honestly, anything will do. I have one looks kinda like yours but much cheaper, 12 euro in tesco, makes fine coffee.
Get something you think looks cool or get something cheap as fuck. Don't get anything gimmicky like milk whipper or some shit. Sounds like they'd just appreciate a working coffee maker
/Ck/ I need a good chicken pot pie recipe please! What do you add to yours?
GET SOME CHICKEN PUT IT IN A POT BOOM CHIGGEN POT PI
Make a roux add chicken stock and powdered sage to make gravy. Pre-cook carrots peas and chicken cubed, add sauce. Bake a piece of ready-made frozen puff pastry in the oven and place atop ramekin filled with your pot pie filling.

Forgot s&p the gravy of course.

Anyone have a recipe for American, hard jujubes?
All the recipes I can find online are for Indian soft versions.
1. Take 5lbs of gelatin.
2. Dissolve in 1tbsp of water.
3. Add artificial food colorings & flavorings.
That should come close. You might need to bake them in a steel furnace for three days to get the right level of tough chewy tastelessness, though.
The most important ingredients in American jujubes are modified corn starch, artificial flavor, Red Lake 40, and phosphorized uranium

Can't you just take the Indian ones and leave them out. Let them harden by themselves?
For those of you who went to college what was your staple food while living in the dorms, college townhouses, and apartments?
Mine was summer sausage. I lived off of that shit, just crack open the package and slice away.

For snacks: BRIE. I ate so much brie, it was more or less cheap and easy to eat on some toast.

How does one combat burger shrinkage?
They always come out smaller than my bun even though I make the patties huge.
Keep making the patties large, but give them sort of a saucer shape where the center of it is thinner than the edges, then when it cooks you'll end up with a nice even shape instead of that giant thick bulge in the middle
>>8356699
this, 100%. Imagine a "red blood cell" sort of shape.

Best Guac recipe? Does it even matter? Or does it come down to freshness of ingredients?
>>8356679
What matters is whether or not you like it simple or complicated. If simple is your thing avocado, salt, lime juice, onion, cilantro and a little jalapeno/serrano pepper is all you need. But some folks swear by adding tomatoes, cumin and even garlic. As long as you don't add mayo or sour cream you're cool.
The ripeness of the avocados makes a huge difference.
>>8356689
I put off making this guac too long, now I have some really ripe avocado. Gonna go for it anyway. Adding Cumin, garlic and cayenne to this. We'll see how it goes.
>>8356693
As long as you cut off any brown/grey off the avocado you should be good. Cumin and garlic are gilding the lily, but they won't wreck it.
Do you refrigerate your hot sauce?
What about salsa?
Ya i do, not so much to keep it from going bad or anything, I just like the contrast between the cold hotsauce and hot eggs, same with my ketchup. It just tastes better when its cold on stuff
I am already sick of seeing this goddamn picture.
Yes, refrigerate everything. It can only help and never harm. Peanut butter and butter get too stiff, but salsa and hot sauces will last longer when cold.
>>8356649
everything except bananas. Bananas and cold never go well together.
Instant Rice, microwave for 6-7 min, has seasonings. Toss on a can of black beans done, no clean up.

>>8356488
Do you do anything with the beans or just drain and rinse them?
I like having the control when cooking it in a sauce pan.
>>8356774
I drain them with a spaghetti strainer but don't rinse them, added chilly peppers last time, have a bag of basmati rice. But cooking for one just not worth using the rice cooker.
I get a bunch of the low sodium ones when they are on sale.
More like turd-meric
